2.5 stars.

I picked it up at my local library as I love homely tips. But I hardly learn anything new, and sometimes the same tips are written again and again in different chapters.

The advices in this book are very general as well.

Good for just skimming through.

3.5* I really enjoyed the portions of the book filled with sage advice from yesteryears mums, other portions are generic advice harvested from "professionals" (savings plans, retirement funds, relationship advise etc...) which detracted from the enjoyable sections for me.
