It's not problematic, there's just no romance. Lindsay and Matthew have already courted and become engaged when the story starts. Matthew learns that he is losing the house he started building and considers breaking it off. Lindsay tells him not to. The end. Their relationship doesn't change at all through the short story.

To be fair to the story, I hadn't read the earlier works. It could be much more effective in that context. But I doubt it.

A Home For Lindsay is the second. wonderful novella in Amy Clipston as newest book Amish Sweethearts. In this amazing story we travel back to Bird in Hand, PA to the Kauffman Bakery series. This is my favorite series written by this author she has brought each of the characters to life along with the storyline. This novella is the story of Lindsay and Matthew, who are engaged to be married, but thru no fault of theirs have encountered some hard times.

When Matthew discovers a secret that his sister and brother in law have been keeping from him instantly devastates him. His plans for the future is crushed. What is the secret that has turned Matthew's world upside down? Will Lindsay stand by him? As you travel this road with them you will take many twist. This is such a heartwarming story of love, trust, and definitely faith in God. Amy will make you feel every emotion that the characters do.

I enjoyed getting reacquainted with the characters from the Kauffman Bakery series again and the storyline is so amazing I have rated this book with five stars. I will be highly recommending this novella to all readers who not only enjoy the Amish genre but romance too!

I was given an advanced complimentary eBook copy from Amy Clipston and Herbalist to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable review. All statements expressed are strictly my honest opinions.

Congratulations to Amy Clipston on writing another outstanding story for her readers. I will be anticipating more wonderful books by her in the future. I also hope more involving the Kauffman Bakery series characters.
