This little book was a project completed by the Wisconsin Feminists Project Fund in 1975. It is unfortunate that this little book is now out of print as I feel like this should be required reading for all girls and women from Wisconsin. Each women presented is given a few paragraphs and for the most part, a lot of people would think many of these women are fairly unremarkable. However, the joy in reading this is knowing that these women were celebrated for just being themselves and fulfilling the roles they wanted to fulfill for themselves, their families, or their society. Beautiful and inspiring.

Interesting in historical context. Short offerings about historic times in early Wisconsin through descriptions of ordinary women. Some are remembrances of the women in their own words, some written by those that knew them. Short pamphlet but decent addition to women's pioneering spirit.

What an interesting look at the history of Wisconsin! There were some amazing stories of women since the beginning of the state. I like how this book is interspersed with profiles, snippets of legislation, and historical pictures.
