I thought the book was funny, seeing the unwanted activities Caillou put poor Gilbert through

This is a cute story about owning a pet and treating it with kindness. It is good to show that cats don't like to play dress up or the same kinds of games as children do. Our girls enjoy the "Caillou" show and they really enjoy reading stories about him. This book is offered on Tumblebooks as well (tumblebooks.com) and our girls like to watch it.

Caillou always getting into trouble. This time it's with his cat, Gilbert. It's a good book about being empathetic to busy parents stuck in their corporate slob of a lifestyle without having time to play with Caillou. So to have fun he dresses his cat up and tortures it. He soon learns a good lesson that cats can't be played with like humans, so he learns to play on the cat's level.
