This book took me way too long. Aside from having to adult every day, the spelling mistakes killed me and the constant repetition of sentences on how “hot” or what a “bad boy” slater was annoyed me. It got to a point where some sentences just seemed put there after the fact to make the book longer. I have to say my favourite part was the last 3 or 4 chapters because I was able to relate to it on such an emotional level. I think I actually teared up. The emotional connection is what made me give it 3 stars.

**** 4 1/2 Surviving Stars ****

This book was generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

As always, Regan Ure takes a piece of my soul while reading her exquisite stories. It is no different when I picked up Surviving Slater and started reading the story of Jordan and Slater. She has the ability to transport the reader into another world of romance, angst and complete oblivion!

I was instantly grabbed by this book and couldn't wait to turn the page to find out what would happen next but in the same thought...didn't want this romance to end!

Regan Ure is definitely one of my "one click" authors and will always remain so!

Jordan Ross truly believes that she isn't a good girl, as a dark secret from her past that no one knows about, fills her with serious shame. But it's toughened her up, and also, has made it nearly impossible for her to trust anyone, so no one gets past her walls, until him. Slater Graves is a bad boy that lives with serious guilt from his childhood that keeps him from moving forward with his life. When they meet, the attraction is instantaneous, and hard to deny, although he tries with everything in him to do so. And with each of their perspective demons tearing them up individually, will they be able to keep their feelings out of it? Surviving Slater was a emotional ride that had all of my emotions out and running amok. I loved Jordan, especially her strength, but Slater? I wanted to punch him in the face several times, as his emotional douche decisions really made me mad when he hurt Jordan. And if that wasn't crazy enough, the story's secondaries had their own issues as well, so seriously, my eyes leaked more than once. But in the midst of my leakage, the twists & turns had me dropping loud f-bombs through the tears. Regan Ure has a very talented writing style that I'm hooked to, so I cannot wait to read everything she has and will release! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I think it was slightly better than Loving Bad for some reason. This is just going to be a basic review of things I liked and things I liked less.

*Things I liked
- It picked up from the events of the previous books with the same characters, just with a different pov. We got to know Jordan who's a character with so much depth while in Loving Bad, she was just portrayed as the superficial girl who only wanted to party and I admit I didn't like her that much before.
- I thought the writing was slightly better than in the author's other books. Some parts were enjoyable and got me hooked to the story.

*Things I liked less
- The writing still had flaws and some phrases were used repetitively ex: I nodded my head. It's personal but I had an issue with the past perfect at some point because it detached me from the story.

I think I won't read the upcoming other books from this serie unless they are in Sin or Slater's Pov.

3.5 Stars
I loved how it started! It brought together what we already knew about the new characters from Loving Bad and it therefore made the characters immediately relatable.
The book starts when Taylor was in the hospital and it continues to show the remainder of Loving Bad through Jordan's eyes while at the same time giving us an inside into how Jordan herself feels and the problems she has going on in her life. The first chapters were no shadow of doubt the best chapters between the two books.
Why only 3.5 stars then you ask? well, once Taylor is out of the hospital and moves in with Sin Surviving Slater focus solely on Jordan and Slater, as it should. But their story is only interesting during the first and last pages. All the stuff in between is rather repetitive. They get together, they break up; they get together, they break up; they get together, they break up... on and on the cycle goes. Neither wants to get emotional involved, both clearly already are. There were therefore a few too many boring chapters. I still would recommend you read it though, specially if you loved Loving Bad!

A very angst and stubborn filled drama book. Jordan is traumatized by her past and Slater as well. Slater doesn't do serious relationships he walks away never showing his feelings. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster reading this book. The characters drove me absolutely crazy with all the back and forth that I wanted to scream at them both. Will Jordan and Slater finally tell each other everything? I really loved the last couple characters of the book when we finally have them stop acting like kids and talk to each other. 4/5 stars ****Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Read provided for a voluntarily Advanced Reader Copy of this book ****

Slater and Jordan.

After reading Taylor and Son's story, I was looking forward to Slater and Jordan. The reality of their story, however, did not meet the anticipation. There were too many coincidences for the story to be believable and I didn't really like Jordan in this book. In the first book, she appears to be strong, but in this book we learn it is all a ruse. Slater was not all that likeable either because he just runs from all his problems. I was also disappointed that there was very little of Taylor or Sin. I am not planning to continue this series.

it was almost better then the first book but still too much drama. Again, I try to remember these are college kids so they don't have the life experience to be more mature in their actions and reactions but this author puts them in very adult situations.

I would like to find out what happens to the rest of the people but 4.99 for a 2 star read was too much to spend on this book so I will be skipping the next until they are more reasonably priced or free.

Enjoyed this book a lot more than the first, I think I preferred Slater to Sin from the first book. I like that both the characters were layered and there was a lot more to them. It was a bit too dramatic and angsty to actually take seriously but I thought the spice scenes were executed well and overall enjoyed.

Love this series

Great read I live for these types of series. I’ve just started reading Regan’s books. I am a sucker for happy endings. I do enjoy emotional roller coasters but some books are just too much. These books have just the right balance.

Gotta be my least favorite of the series. It’s too all over the place and honestly, slater had potential to be a better character and meanwhile this sorry feels meh. It’s not even truly about him.

This book did not let me down. I had low hopes for this book and thought it wouldn’t be better then loving bad. I love this book I though everything about it was good. I wish there was a bit more taylor and Matt and all the other characters from loving bad but I still loved the book. I would love a Slater’s POV

I waited so long for this book since I loved Loving bad so much, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. Jordan and Slater were going back and fort so much that it became annoying. Almost the whole time she was repeating the same sentence about rejection and the same bull*hit and it gave me the feeling that this book was all the same from the beginning to the end.
