Cute! This little bear is getting dressed all by himself. But he's not quite sure how to put each item on. Great interactive book for toddlers and preschoolers alike.
A little bear needs to put on his clothes and he can do it all by himself (with some help from the reader). The reader can correct how he puts on his clothes with a, "No." A great book for children learning how to dress themselves.
This preachy little book demands your child conform to fascist norms about the "right" way to wear one's clothes. It encourages such outdated mores as putting on pants before going out and not wearing shoes on one's ears. All parents who want their children to grow up to be narcs should immediately buy this book.
I kid. It's yet another goddamn children's book where you might as well find something to like, since you'll be reading it three times a day for the next month. Personally, I like that the bear's shirt is (spoilers ahead) striped.
I enjoy the flannel board, that I copied from my first boss, more than using the book itself. I usually use the book for a clothing story time, then the flannel board for a bear program. 12/9/11
Used again this year. The book went over well. Maybe 3.5, I just think doing it as a flannel board works better.
I was thrown off when the bear learned how to put on his clothes correctly and then on the next page he didn't have it on but in the end it all made sense. Repetition helps the children learn.
