This is an incredible book for anyone that either is a huge Green Bay Packers fan or just a football fan in general. It will give you some of the greatest quotes ever by one of the most legendary head coaches of all time, Vince Lombardi. If you're looking for a book to motivate you as you go through tough times or want a great book to read before the football season starts, this is definitely it.
You'll feel inspired, motivated, and can easily apply all the wisdom found in this book by Lombardi in everyday life, not only in professional sports. You'll have a greater appreciation for all the little things in life and truly see things in a whole new light thanks to this book.
This is 5/5 stars in my book and then some, it's that good and something I highly recommend. I've read it multiple times over the years and also own the actual book as I bought it again just so I can have it forever in my Kindle account.

This is an incredible book written by Vince Lombardi's son. The book goes through various quotes that Vince Lombardi told his teams in the locker room and throughout practice on winning, passion, desire, losing, hard work, failure, competition, etc. Each of these quotes is then analyzed by his son as he discusses how they translated into Vince Lombardi's own life and why he had that perspective. It is an incredibly inspiring book that taught me so many incredible life lessons that can easily be translated from the locker room into our regular lives.
The quotes really help you see what kind of a person Vince was and why he was such a successful coach. His attitude towards winning and ensuring everyone puts forward their best efforts and no one accepting that losing is an option is truly inspiring. Vince also talks about how every failure is a learning experience and about how he would always know what to do or say or yell at his players to get the most out of them. The book made me realize just what kind of mentality you need to have to be a true leader and what it takes to be the best. Lombardi would not tolerate any form of racism and only wanted people on his team who were willing to give everything they had for the organization and people responded to that and took his criticism because they saw that it was working and that they were winning. Lombardi left the Packers for the Redskins after he realized his words were no longer having an impact on his team as he felt he had nothing else to offer there.

I am a huge Packer fan, so when my pastor handed me this book I was excited to read it. Very neat reading how this man inspired his teams and others through his actions and his speeches. Enjoyable read.

Great book of quotes on the subject of winning and what it takes to be the best. Would've appreciated the book better if there were more context given or in-depth analysis of his quotes, especially by his players or people around him. All props to Lombardi Jr for compiling his quotes though.

There is so much good stuff in this book it may overwhelm you. Each topic is organized alphabetically with an index in the back showing the source of the material.
Vince's son is the narrator and he sprinkles in comments of his own experience with his father. This is very insightful as he is a humble guy with honest reflection.
I was furiously making notes while reading so I encourage you to keep your iPad or a pen and paper handy as this book will inspire you to do better. Because as we all know, when you know better you do better. This book will take you there.

Quick read. Interesting. The context provided by the author (Vince's son) helped, especially considering I wasn't born during Vince's reign with the Pack. Will probably share a couple of the quotes with others. Probably most relevant to those who teach or train others.
