I read it because one of the people I follow here on GR reads a ton of those and I wanted to try one. I pick this us because it was part of Kindle Unlimited, since I don't want to spend any additional money on these books.
I used to read Harlequin novels back in the days. My mum bought them and I would occasionally read one or two. Then I found one that was so disgusting that I stopped reading them altogether.
As far as Harlequin stories go, this one was OK. The girl had a career and wants to be successful, while the guy seems nice enough not to be dominant and possessive. All those flashbacks were a bit confusing but I like the story overall.
Abbey is about to launch her own talk show. She approaches Max Harding who use to do the same but fell out of the TV limelight 2 years before. He never wants to discuss the reason why and is now a journalist.
Abbey likes him a great deal but it is a love and hate thing. Gary her director does not help. He feeds her lies and belittles her at every chance he can.
Things progress and come to a head when Max comes on Abbey's show. Penultimate show becomes an eye opening show for many. It brings forth the truth but Abbey was not there to see it.
Beautiful graphics and a fantastic story with a gem of an ending.
