Stuart has no regrets about his new life with Brandon and Jeff. For the first time, he feels he’s exactly where he’s supposed to be, with a family who loves him for who he is. Even despite the craziness with Brandon’s ex, it’s all worth it.
Jeff knows this is for life with the two men and has never felt happier. When a mission to help his sister’s friend leads to an unexpected health crisis with an uncertain outcome, he is forced to admit he’s also vulnerable in ways he never imagined, both physically and emotionally.
Brandon gets that his ex has issues, but he won’t let those stand in the way of him and his husbands parenting Emma, his teenaged daughter. Jeff and Stuart have proven they’re there for life.
Now their sanity is stretched to the max in ways they never imagined by a horrific truth—they’re raising a teenaged daughter who’s starting to date.

With this book, we get to continue the story with Brandon, Stuart and Jeff. The guys are finally living together and going about their business. Brandon's teenage daughter still lives with them and his ex wife is still causing problems, via her creepy husband and step son. I love how we get all aspects of what is going on in their lives. Can I add that I hope that as some point, Pat and his creepy son gets what is coming to them. Add to the mix that Brandon's daughter is "dating" and one of the guys is hiding something from the other two. Like all of Tymber's books, I was hooked from the very beginning and stayed up late reading it. Who is going through a health crisis and who is Brandon's daughter "dating? This book brings all emotions to the surface and I can't wait for the next book. While this is NOT a cliffhanger, there will be another book on down the road about these guys and what is going on in their lives!!! I will be eagerly waiting for it.
When life throws curve balls, a person can be beaten to death by trying to stand up against the balls or they could bend and roll with the punches. This story follows Heartache Spoken Here and should be read only after reading it. Just reading these two books in the series together will be fine.
What happens after the happily ever after ending? Ms. Dalton explores this when we return to the threesome, Stuart, Brandon and Jeff. There is continued craziness with Bradon's ex. More specifically, craziness with his ex's husband. Whilst there is a little bit of angst with Stuart and his family, the focus is on Jeff.
There is a reason why there is a saying, "no good deed goes unpunished". Jeff goes to help out his sister's friend who is terrified of her husband. In a weekend, the woman moves out of her home, like a thief in the night. Jeff is there to help move her. This is where he is bitten by a seemingly inconsequential bug. Unfortunately for him, this bug is a carrier and ends up destroying Jeff's life as he knows it.
There are several threads going on in this story, and I'm going focus on Jeff's story. This is because I have had several friends who have been impacted with this same disease. There is no rhyme or reason to how a person responds to catching this potentially incurable disease. What this sickness does is take a toll on a person and may crush their spirit completely. Ms. Dalton does an excellent job of showing how a person can suffer depression and doubts after catching it. Seeing it from Jeff's perspective may help educate readers to be more emphatic to people suffering from non visible physical ailments. Not all disabilities manifest physically for people to see. This one is especially tricky with how it drains the life out of its victim.
Whilst this story could be a bit of a downer, there is one character who steals the show. Grace is a character I want to keep my eye on. She's adorable and deadly. She is a mini Tilly in training and I can't wait to see if she gets her own story when she grows older. I love her.
This kinky romance is recommended to menage readers who like to see what happens after "happily ever after".
SPOILER ALERT: ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES IS THE SEQUEL TO HEARTACHE SPOKEN HERE, BOOK #54 IN THIS SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN'T YET READ HEARTACHE SPOKEN HERE, PLEASE DON'T READ THIS REVIEW AS IT CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Roll With the Punches is book #55 in the Suncoast Society series by Tymber Dalton. As always, Ms. Dalton has written a story filled with very real and relatable characters, their daily lives, their hopes, dreams, and, of course, the romance they've been looking for, as well as the difficulties, obstacles, and complications that lie in their paths.
Stuart, Jeff, and Brandon seem to have found their happily ever after. While their relationship started in a very unusual way, things seem to have worked out. Brandon's daughter, Emma, accepts their triad relationship without any qualms. And as the obstacles thrown in the way of the men's relationship are resolved one by one, the men fall deeper and deeper in love with each other. They are happier together than they've ever been before in their lives. But life always has a way of throwing curveballs just when you're not expecting them!
When Jeff's sister, Iris, asks his help in rescuing Sylvie, her friend, from an abusive husband, he agrees. It means a weekend trip to New Hampshire to pack up Sylvie's belongings. After making the trip, things seem to go well, and Sylvie is soon in Florida. She's finally free from her abusive husband, and Jeff, Stuart, and Brandon are reunited. But soon it becomes evident that a minor incident during the trip has turned into a growing concern for Jeff. As the issue gets worse with time, it's definitely taking a toll on the triad's relationship. Can anything be done to stop this in its tracks? If so, what will it take? Just what will each of the three men have to do in order to help Jeff and keep their relationship together? What are they willing to sacrifice to save the life they've begun to build together?
To add to the stress, Brandon's ex-wife, Tracey, her husband, Pat, and Pat's son are making Emma's life a living hell. While Brandon knows bits and pieces of the story, he's only seen the tip of the iceberg thus far. When things blow up, and apart, in a spectacularly destructive manner, it doesn't just affect Brandon and Emma. It places far more stress on the three men than ever. What started out as a happy ménage now has the potential to self-destruct. Will the intimate love, seemingly unbreakable trust, and unshakable belief that the three men once held in each other be enough to survive the storms that continue to cross their path? Will they find the ability to roll with the punches, or will the turmoil and hardships thrown their way tear their relationship apart and destroy the love they've built?
In an effort to ensure that all readers are informed consumers, I want to say this is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and BDSM-themed ménage sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. USE THESE RESOURCES. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
I give Roll With the Punches my highest recommendation without reservation. Thank you, Tymber Dalton, for again giving us an amazing book that shows just how impressive an author you are, your mastery of your art, and your exceptional writing talent! This is truly a remarkable book! Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
This book continues Brandon, Jeff and Stuart's story which began with Heartache Spoken Here. I loved getting a glipse at their happily ever after. As this book begins, the 3 men are living together along with Brandon's daughter Emma. Keeping their BDSM dynamic on the down low seems to be working well and the men enjoy their time together in and out of the bedroom as they become a family. This means alot to Stuart as well as Emma who now has more than one parent she can count on. I really liked reading about how this triad becomes stronger as they handle situations life throws at them. This book can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the previous book for maximum enjoyment.
Once again Tymber Dalton has shown us that, as unusual as the dynamics of families may be, we all have the same types of problems. It is how we react to these problems that makes for a good book. Brandon has a crazy ex with an equally crazy controlling husband and stepson, a child who has been caught lying, and a husband who is ill and trying to hide it from everyone. Mix all of that in with great sex and emotional scenes with a few surprises and you have a five star story. I love the Suncoast Society books and I can't wait for the next one!
This is the second book were we learn more about Brandon, Jeff and Stuart. Their relationship with each other and with Emma. In this book we get to see more of Emma's relationship with her mother, and how it evolves as well as her relationship with her best friend Grace. We see more of the dynamic between the men and their relationship how it changes and grows. I hope to see more of this wonderful family in future books as I have come to care for them a great deal while reading these last two books.
These three men continue to build their lives together and to build a home for Brandon's daughter Emma as well. These are three caring and loyal men. In this installment of the Suncoast Society see them face all types of dramas of family & health and through it all we see them rise to the challenge and show their strength and dedication to their family.
This definitely answered some of the questions I had from the last one. Crazy the way that it came out with Emma and Grace, what a trigger for poor Stuart. Wonder if Grace and Emma will have their own story later in the series.
Book 2 with these sexy ass men. This book is Stuart, Jeff and Brandon's continuing story. Bot just theirs but Emma and Grace's too. A health issues puts a kink in the men's lives. (no pun intended) Then we get a little surprise with Brandon's daughter.
It was nice to get a more in depth story of Brandon, Stuart and Jeff and how they are making it work together - how Jeff and Stuart are getting to be a dad to Emma and her best friend Emma.
This picks up right where the last book ends. Brandon, Jeff and Stuart have moved in together and are cementing their family. There are some challenges to overcome but in the end their family is strong.
A continuation of the previous book with an added surprise. I am sad for Jeff (noone should have to go through that) bu happy he has Stuart and Brandon to keep his spirits up and love him.
