An extremely useful book which I referred to constantly while teaching religious education classes. Coat of arms for saints, evangelists, apostles, etc. Every type of cross, star, flower, fruit and/or tree imaginable of biblical or religious significance. Various other emblems from the Old Testament, of the Church and the church year, plus brief definitions, explanations and helpful information.

Good-sized illustration of symbols associated with God, the Church, and the Saints. The categories of symbols includes: The Four Evangelists, The Twelve Apostles, The Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, Sacred Monograms, St. Mary the Virgin, Saints Crosses, Stars, Flowers, Fruits, Trees, Old testament, Other Emblems, The Church, The Church Year, Forms of the Nimbus, and a few more. Our family has used this book throughout our years of home schooling to decorate for feast days, celebrate saint days, and do projects for First Communion and Confirmation projects. I am very thankful that I found Saints, Signs, and Symbols many years ago.
