When someone asks what I do for a living, I answer it plain and simple . . . I’m a hunter. I hunt the dregs of society and I’m very damn good at it.
I’m Ian Chandler, FBI agent and a member of the Circle of Justice, an organization of justice seeking vigilantes. My mission is to solve a string of ‘accidental’ hiking deaths occurring around my Wyoming town. When Grace Myers –a woman who’s been missing for days –shows up on my land, it turns out she’s the key to it all. Someone is hunting her, and I make it my duty to keep her safe.
However, the deeper I get into the case, the more dangerous it becomes; especially, now that I’ve fallen for the woman I have to protect. If hunting is the game, I won’t fail. I always hit my mark.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.
She loves to write, but she also loves to play golf, go on mountain hikes and white-water rafting, and has a passion for singing. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.
Dover has written countless novels in several different genres, but her favorite to write is romantic suspense. However, she has found a new passion in romantic comedy, especially involving sexy golfers. Who knew the sport could be so dirty and fun to write about.
Aim is L.P Dover's third installment in her Circle of Justice series, and follows Ian Chandler as he protects the woman he wants more than any other. When Grace Myers is taken by an unknown assailant, Ian will stop at nothing to get her back and finally make her his.
I really liked these characters and how they had a pretty equal relationship. Ian wasn't the only strong character in this book, Grace held her own and didn't let the dangerous situation she was thrust into beat her down. It was amazing to see how she handled the danger that was after her, and that she trusted Ian enough to let him take care of her needs when she couldn't do it herself.
That was what made their relationship so amazing to read about. The fact that they could lean on each other and neither one of them attempted to just take over everything. And on top of that they had a great chemistry that was pulling them together and pulling my focus right into this book.
Overall, I will undoubtedly recommend this book to anyone that likes some mystery and suspense with their romance. It can be read as a standalone with no issue but features some of the same characters from the previous books.

AIM: is the third standalone novel in the ‘Circle of Justice Series’ by L.P. Dover. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ First time read by this author and won't be the last.
In this we meet a hometown girl Grace Myers, a police officer's daughter at twenty eight she is an Event and Marketing Manager at one of the top hotels in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Even though it got lonely at times with the long hours she worked, and after being cheated on by a man she thought she was going to marry one day so her job became her top priority.
Our closest friends tend to be the ones who betray us first.
Though she did harbour a bit of a crush on Ian the bad boy all the girls wanted. And Ian reciprocated those feelings about the girl everyone in their town seemed to love. Though neither knew how the other felt.
Ian Chandler was a top secret hired assassin working under cover for the FBI ridding the world of undesirables one by one.
Finishing up work for the day Grace notices that she’s left her mobile phone behind in reception so goes back to retrieve it upon reaching her car again she's knocked from behind, darkness claims her.
Held and bound in a stable scared of what's to become of her, a twisted game of cat and mouse, people pay top money to rid persons that have betrayed them, or they just don't like. Let loose to run but you can't out run the bullet that has your name on it.
The Hunter becomes the Prey
Now it's a race against time for Grace to escape and to find out who wants her killed.
❀ MY THOUGHTS: ❀ Even though it states that this can be read as a standalone in some places there are conversations that have occurred that we’re not privy to as they happened in one of the previous books but you still connect with this story and the characters still. I loved the overall concept of this story, from friends to lovers, the suspense of the chase, the kill, the adrenaline of what was going to come next, the anticipation had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The uniqueness of the story had me glued to the pages right up till the end now I really want to read the next book after this.
Fairly good cover on this one. Good representation of the hero. Good composition and eye-catching title work.
After loving book one and being disappointed in book two, this was a make or break it book for me. And it made it...well sort of. Was it as good as book one, no. Was it way better than book two, for sure. I enjoyed it enough that I will definitely continue on with the series.
This is Ian's and Grace's story. Both had their eyes on the other, but work and issues kept them from getting together. After Grace escapes certain death and ends up on Ian's doorstep life is put in perspective, and both go all in while trying to bring down the baddies.
I enjoy this author's writing, and this book had the same great writing and pace. It was very insta-everything which was fine, but I would have liked to have seen some of their previous interactions that would have helped me feel a fuller connection between them. The plot was interesting. There is no OW/OM drama. Pretty much no angst. The sex scenes in this one seemed more on the milder side than the previous two books. Or maybe they were just less detailed? I don't know, but it wasn't a HUGE deal for me. There was a great cast of secondary characters. I am looking forward to Bryce's and Reed's books especially. Lastly, it was all wrapped up in a sweet ending.
So ya, not much left to say. Read it. Enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next book. A couple of thumbs up from yours truly.
This book starts out pretty fast and never slows down. There is a lot of action, numerous characters that might or might not be the bad guy, and a plot that is unique.
Grace is kidnapped one night as she’s leaving work. There have been several missing persons in the area for a while and her father has been working on the case. When she disappears he calls in their friend and FBI agent, Ian.
Ian has had a thing for Grace for a while and when he learns she is gone he pretty much loses it. The hunt is on for who did it and where she is. When she turns up on his back porch he is not only relieved, he’s determined to make his move on her.
While I never really felt a deep chemistry between these two, the steam factor is high. There’s also no denying this story-line was original. Secondary characters pop up and are mentioned almost to the point of taking over the story but some of them were perfect.
This is a fast paced read that I finished within a few hours’ time.

Dual POV
Safe, although while undercover Ian does have to date one woman and another tries to make a move on him. He does not feel anything for them and never lets things get physical. He’s in love with Grace and this is just his job. She is aware of what he is having to do.
An awesome suspense book to keep you on your toes. I had to keep reading to find out who the bad guy was. This was a another great read by L.P. Dover and I can't wait for her next book to be released. Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
This is the 3rd book in the Circle of Justice series by LP Dover but it can be read as a standalone to the series. Ian Chandler is a FBI agent who is in a special and secret group within the FBI called Circle of Justice. This special group is one that does a lot of good and they are always called on for help; the country owes them a great debt for all they have done. Ian is this sexy alpha beast of an FBI agent who has fallen for Grace Myers and will do anything to protect her. Grace is a hotel marketing manager in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She pretty much works all the time and doesn’t date after a bad breakup. She does have a pretty good size crush on Ian. She lets work become her life and everyone likes her…or do they? On her way out of work on evening, she is knocked out from behind and kidnapped. She wakes up and realizes that she doesn’t have time to wait for someone to come save her so she saves herself, and freeing herself after days in captivity, she lands Ian’s doorstep. But who would want to kidnap Grace and why? Who was behind the kidnapping and what purpose would Grace’s death serve? This is where the roller coaster ride of angst, twists and turns, mystery and suspense all comes in. Ian jumps all in and decides he will make sure Grace is never hurt again and also follows the pattern of kidnappings and is to see who they are linked to. Ian and Grace work together to find out why she was targeted along with the development of their romantic relationship that really built steam. I loved watching how these two people who are so obviously meant for each other realize this finally. I did feel the ending was a bit rushed but I loved the suspense/mystery plot that had romance woven into the storyline.
I can’t wait for the next story in the Circle of Justice book for I very much enjoyed this book!!
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
As much as I wanted to sit back and enjoy this romantic suspense featuring an FBI agent/assassin, it just didn't work for me. While Aim is the third entry in a new-to-me series, that isn't even what posed an issue. I'm sure reading the first two books would have provided more insight into the secondary characters and their history, but I had no problem understanding the dynamics between everyone and how they interacted. Instead, it was the believability factor that was seriously lacking.
I actually liked the overall premise and the sinister ploy behind Grace's abduction. There were some seriously twisted bad guys at work here. Unfortunately it was in the execution where it fell apart for me. So much of what happened seemed so implausible. I tried and tried to get past the unlikely events (and even unlikelier reactions) and just go with it... but I couldn't do it. After being abducted and facing a life-threatening situation, Grace seemed to bounce back in the blink of an eye and suffer zero after-effects. (Wouldn't everyone play a truth or dare card game the next day where the loser has to strip? Seems reasonable, right?) The "investigation" into the disappearances progressed all too easily and there was never a misstep or dead-end. Everything just fell into place with relative ease. Lastly, the relationship between Grace and Ian seemed to come out of nowhere. There was no build-up, just *bam* instant relationship. It left me confused and wondering if I had somehow skipped several chapters and missed all the development. I was unable to feel any connection at all between them.
I will say that I am decidedly in the minority in my feelings for Aim. It has a 4.6 rating at Amazon and 4.39 at GoodReads so clearly most people are loving this one. Unfortunately it just didn't work for me.
copy received for honest review 3.5 stars Although part of a series, this can be read as a standalone. Ian has had his eye on Grace for a while. the attraction is mutual, however, the timing is off. they are both busy. Ian has his work with the Circle of Justice and Grace is running hotel. Also Grace has a little bit of a trust issue. The opening scene starts the action and things continue quickly. Someone plans an elaborate set up to have Grace murdered. Once she disappears, Ian will stop at nothing to get her back. the story is full of action and mystery with a quick romance thrown in. I enjoyed the original story more but this one follows a similar pattern. the characters are likable and the story was interesting. the reveal of the person who wanted Grace dead was a little bit of a let down. the connection was weak. there really was not enough of a background to make it believable. However, still enjoyable.
2.5 stars This book is not really my cup of tea.Having known nothing about it before it started, I thought it was going to be different than what it was. I am more of a love story person. This was a love story mixed in with an episode of Law and Order SVU... not really my thing.
If you’re looking for a sexy, suspenseful read, then you need to pick up Aim by L.P. Dover today! From the start of this book all the way to the end, I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who was after Grace, and how this story was going to play out. Throw in the sexual tension between Ian and Grace, and the love story that evolves between them and you have one amazing story that will have you hooked!
Grace and Ian have been dancing around one another for awhile now, but Grace is hesitant to make any further moves with him as he comes off as a bad boy and she doesn’t want to get her heart broken, so she continues to throw herself into work. When she’s about to get promoted, she’s kidnapped and wakes up in a barn and her life becomes a game and she needs to survive. When Ian finds out about Grace, he rushes home from his finishing his last job to try to find her and bring her back home. When she shows up on his front porch basically he does everything in his power to keep her safe and find the people responsible for taking her and others.
Ian’s secrets are revealed, and Grace and him grow close while she’s in his protection. I loved how protective Ian and his brother Reed were of Grace. They would never let anything happen to her and were doing everything in their power to solve the mystery of the killings going on in town. Throughout this book everyone was on my suspect list, as well as theirs. We had the main players, but could never figure out who wanted Grace gone. When we find out who it was I was kind of shocked, especially when we found out the reasons why.
This story had it all, love, sexy, suspense, and a story that had me from beginning to end. I was up all night reading this book and couldn’t put it down until I knew who was responsible and if Ian and Grace were going to have their HEA. If you love a romantic suspense with a protective, sexy, tattooed hero, I highly suggest picking up Aim by L.P. Dover today. The entire Circle of Justice Series is amazing, but I really think this one is my favorite by far!
Once again a great romantic suspense story by LP Dover! Such an interesting premise and some seriously hot brothers working for the the Circle of Justice. This is brother Ian's story. He and his twin along with their baby brother live out west, away from the head quarters of the family business.
The setting, the story, the s3xual tension, the intrigue. Everything adds up in this one for a great read. The heroine, Grace is stubborn and funny. I love that her and Ian are good friends before things go any further. I appreciated Grace's need to keep her identify and sense of self even though her world was changing dramatically. I also enjoyed her giving in to Ian's need to keep her safe but still trying to keep him in his place.
It was great to see the rest of Ian's family touching base along the way. I am super intrigued by how Bryce's story is going to play out. As always, fans of Ms. Dover will recognize familiar characters from previous books pop up along the way. This one was no exception.
Wonderful HEA for this couple. Can't wait to see what the future holds for them.

This is a review from the BBB Girls Blog. I will have to say that I have not read much books from this Author the only other book was "No Limit", so I am still familiarizing myself with her writing style. I thought Aim was ok, I caught on as I was reading that it was part of a series, even though it stated that it could be read as a stand alone, but since it has references to other individuals in the book I felt that I should have read the previous books in the series beforehand. I also think this would have helped me understand the Circle of Justice better.
I thought the story line was good, different from other storylines that I had read in other books in this same genre. I thought that the chemistry between Ian and Grace was amazing and cute. I think what through me off was that there was a lot going on through out the story, between finding Grace, catching who kidnapped her, figuring out who wants to kill her, and at the same time learning about the circle of justice, Ian's family dynamic and how it all plays in the story.
I will say that I could not put the book down, because I wanted to know who wanted Grace dead, but there were some moments between Grace and Ian that I found myself rolling my eyes because it was too cheesy for my liking. I also felt that their relationship was rushed, even though they had known each other prior to Grace's disappearance, I just felt as there was no build up to the relationship.
I did like the Author's writing style in this story and I do look forward to the other books in this series. I will definitely go back and read the 1st two books.
Aim by L.P. Dover is the third book in the Circle of Justice. I believe it can be read as a standalone. While I knew it was book 3, I don't feel like I was missing any backstory from the previous books, although I absolutely need to go back and read the previous books because I loved this storyline.
Grace Myers works at a local hotel in Wyoming. She is smart, beautiful and the local Chief of Police's daughter. She disappears and it is soon clear that she has been kidnapped.
Ian Chandler is a local "web-designer" or so everyone thinks. But he is actually working for the FBI. Grace's dad brings him in to help find his daughter.
What follows is story that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering where the next shoe will drop. There is something very sinister happening in the mountains of Wyoming. Hikers are turning up dead, and some are missing and never found. Ian has known Grace for some time and the thought that he may never find her and get the chance to tell her how he feels, drives him to leave no stone un-turned to find her, her kidnappers and who could possibly want her dead.
I found myself stopping every now and again, looking at the clues and seeing if I could figure out who was behind everything...and just so you know...I was wrong. I will definitely go back and continue to read this series because this kind of suspense, coupled with just the right amount of steam doesn't happen often.
Brilliant storyline following Ian Chandler, FBI agent and member of the Circle of Justice (a group of vigilantes that hunt the dregs of society who have slipped through the criminal justice system). Ian has a soft spot for Grace Myers (the police chief’s daughter in his hometown). When Grace goes missing, Ian does everything in his power to find her, when she lands on his doorstep it is up to him to protect her, but when you're with someone 24/7, how do you resist the sexual chemistry that radiates between you? The story was addictive, I could not put the book down, I had no idea who had betrayed Grace, each chapter brought in a new suspect. I loved the characters Ian was just the right amount of alpha and tender to make my heart go pitter patter, and Grace was strong in body and mind, Ian’s match in every way. The story was told in dual POV, which meant I didn't have to second guess what each of the characters was thinking, I love dual POV. I did however find that the writing was over descriptive in places, I felt as if the author could have missed parts out as it was obvious in her writing what was taking place and it felt as if she was not giving the reader enough credit for understanding situations. Overall though, a sexy thrilling read. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
** Spoiler Free review** Those Chandler men just get hotter with every book! Book 3 is Ian's story and he didn't disappoint. Let me say if I needed protecting he's the one I would want. He was a wanted man by all the women in his town, he was the prefect bad boy. All muscle and tattooed...he looked scary, but he has a heart of gold. UNLESS you were on the wrong side of the law. I love that he has Ninja moves He has always had his eyes on Grace Myers, the girl everyone in town loved. Well not everyone...LP Dover did another great job with Aim, Book 3 in the Circle of Justice series
Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I enjoyed book. I loved myself some Ian, and liked how he was with Grace. Could not believe how Grace's co-workers, totally forgot about her by the first day she was missing, and then when they found out that she was ok, they were crying? Hello, no you guys forgot about her, and Zoe was an embarrassment.. Did enjoy the story line with Daniel, and his cohorts, and even Lauren's story line, understood her hatred. I can't wait to read about Bryce and Reed, and I just found out their was a previous book! His older brother, will get it.

•••••••••
REVIEW: AIM is the third installment in L.P.Dovers contemporary, adult CIRCLE OF JUSTICE romantic, suspense series focusing on a secret, elite group of assassins known as the Circle of Justice. This is assassin/hunter and FBI operative Ian Chandler, and twenty eight year old hotel events and marketing manager Grace Myers’s story line. AIM can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
SOME BACKGROUND: The Circle of Justice is an elite group of assassins, started by the infamous Glenn Chandler, owner of the multi billion dollar Chandler Enterprises and former FBI agent, who target those who have escaped the system.
Told from dual first person points of view (Ian and Grace) AIM follows the search for a serial killer in and around the small town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Eight people have gone missing in a case similar to a forty year old investigation but the most recent disappearance finds our heroine Grace Myers the victim of the latest abduction. Enter FBI agent and Circle of Justice Assassin Ian Chandler, and the man with whom Grace will fall in love. What ensues is the search and rescue of Grace Myers, and the hunt for the people responsible for the missing and dead in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
A copy cat killer is on the loose, and the suspect list continues to grow. While Ian goes undercover to ferret out the person responsible, Grace must remain secluded at Ian’s home, in the hopes of uncovering the who, what and why of latest crime spree and the increasing number of missing and dead.
The relationship between Grace and Ian is one of immediate attraction although they have ‘crushed’ on one another for years. For months Ian and Grace have been dancing around one another but Ian’s ‘job’ kept our hero on the road and Grace had a difficult time with the number of women flirting with the sexy, tattooed bad-boy that called to her heart. With Grace now living at the Chandler ranch, Ian wants a chance at a future with the woman he loves but his life as an assassin puts Grace in the direct line of conflict-secrets are kept close to the heart but Ian knows that to win Grace’s trust he is going to have to reveal the truth about the CoJ and his FBI assignments. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Ian’s brothers Bryce (Ian’s twin), Reed, and Wade, Grace’s father and police chief Colton Myers; Grace’s best friend Mya; hotel owner Charles Beckett, and his children Jared and Lauren Beckett, as well as an assortment of hotel employees and staff. The requisite evil has many faces.
The world building continues to focus on the members of the Circle of Justice, their assignments, and the necessity for such a group to exist. Some of the characters from the author’s ARMED AND DANGEROUS series cross over for cohesion and familiarity.
AIM is a story of suspense, mystery, family, romance and love. The premise is intriguing and entertaining; the characters are numerous, colorful and edgy; the romance is fated and provocative. AIM is a fast paced, story of romantic suspense where the promise of a future is threatened by jealousy and betrayal.
AIM is everything I love about books by LP Dover – it’s fast-paced, intriguing, suspenseful, funny, emotional and sexy. I’m just gonna stop here before I plaster my review with even more adjectives. I love this woman’s writing – and every time I pick up a new book by her I know exactly why. She is one of the very first indie authors I discovered more than three years ago and I’m always coming back for my next fix. I loved the Arrow and Game of Thrones references and the cameos of couples from previous books – and even crossing series while doing it.
Circle of Justice is an amazingly addictive series – and it just gets better with each book, the Chandler brother even hotter with each read page. Sigh. You start reading and you’re directly thrown into the events – and it starts with a bang. But Grace is strong and as the daughter of the sheriff she knows how to handle herself. She is independent and is not used to needing protection. Still she is more than willing to accept Ian’s help, a man she secretly has a crush on but keeps pushing away due to his elusive ways.
Oh, the secrets that Ian is hiding. He is not exactly the web designer he makes the world believe he is. But when he finds out that Grace is in danger, a woman that has been getting under his skin for quite a while now, he does not hesitate to blow his own cover. He will protect Grace at all costs. And oh, how I loved his protective and sexy character! Add to that sexy tattoos, a cowboy hat and that he is an FBI agent slash assassin to boot and I was a goner. And, oh, did I mention that I love his name? Yep, finding out his name basically was enough to make me fall for him. Oops.
This is a story full of suspense, mystery, romance and angst – and a case that will make your skin crawl – I at times felt like I was in an episode of Criminal Minds *shudder*. The case is solved with a bang – and maybe a bit un-‘Criminal Minds’-like – and the ending just sweet and conjured a smile onto my face. This book surely is one of my faves by L.P. Dover!
This book has murder, mystery, suspense and romance. Ian Chandler and two of his brothers belong to a special part of the FBI that hunts the bad guys that gets away. After finishing an assignment he gets a call from the local police chief of his home town in Montana saying that Grace Myers has disappeared. They also find out that other people have disappeared as well. Now Grace has woken up from being knocked out and recognizes the one voice in the barn with her and he tells her that they are going to kill him then her. First they let them go and then they hunt them down, like animals. When the person comes for him she does not know the voice but the man that was with her is gone shortly. Later she hears her boss from the hotel that she worked at talking to the one in charge and then her boss is no longer alive. While they are dealing with him she makes her escape and once in the woods as luck would have it she goes in the direction of Ian’s ranch. It is also the opposite direction of all of the other people who have escaped in the past. Almost two days later she is discovered on Ian’s ranch and he takes her in his home gets her cleaned up and tells her that they are going to let people continue to think she is gone for the investigation. She finds out that the reason she does not see him around town all of the time is because he is an FBI agent, she also finds out that the one time they were together with a group of people he enjoyed the kiss as much as she did. Now they are able to explore those feelings as well as continue along with his brother in investigating the disappearances. You as the reader are taken for a ride as to who and how many people can be involved. The person in her case was a surprise for me, but at the end all of the cases are solved which is good. You also get their continue love between Ian and Grace which adds nicely to the story. Overall a good book. I got this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
Aim is the third book in the suspenseful and sexy Circle of Justice series. It can be read as a standalone since each book is a different couple but they are all connected by the circle. A circle full of assassins for the FBI. Ian hasn't come home from a hunt empty-handed since he started but it also hasn't been personal. Will it fuck with his head?
Grace has gone missing. The chief of police's daughter. A hotel event and marketing planner. And the only woman Ian Chandler has truly wanted for a very long time. He didn't want her to have to be hunted down to get her on his doorstep but that is what happened. It was now his turn to find the piece of shit that took her and the asshole who wanted her dead. It was time for him to do what he does best. Kill. But first he needed to figure out who.
Grace has been turning down Ian for over a year. She didn't have time to date. She was married to her job. She also couldn't trust a man like Ian. Sinfully sexy, charming, and funny. Sure, he sounds like the perfect man but every other girl knew this too. She didn't want her heart broken again by a man like him. Now, she was being protected by him in his home. She knew it wouldn't take long to give into their chemistry but what happens when she can walk out the door? If she ever could. She couldn't go anywhere until this mystery was solved.
I loved this story. It's suspenseful, sexy, sweet, and engaging. The characters are well-written. The storyline is unique. And I didn't want to put it down.
Overall...it was a kick ass addition to the series! I am excited for the next book. I know it's going to be just as awesome, if not better.
Quotes:
“So reckless, Ian Chandler. From the first time I saw you at Wild River, I could tell you were a troublemaker.”
“So, this is where you dream about me, huh?” I rolled my eyes. “You wish.”
“You’re like a vigilante super hero. It’s kind of hot. You remind me of Arrow.” “Nah, I’m sexier than him,” I said with a wink.
I did like the Author's writing style in this story and I do look forward to the other books in this series. I will definitely go back and read the 1st two books.
Whilst this is the third in the series and can be read a sa standalone novel, I would urge you to read the previous books, this is a series that you really will not want to miss out on. I liked Grace, there was an honesty about her character, about the warmth that eth author managed to inject into her personality but as the daughter of the chief of police there were always likely to be those that saw her as a means to meet their nefarious ends and when she disappears one night it doesn’t take long for the penny to drop, this is no ordinary missing persons case…Grace has been kidnapped. Ian is brought on board by Grace’s father, his cover as a local web designer may have the townsfolks fooled but her old man knows full well exactly what he is doing in town, after all he does work for the FBI. The mystery that unfolded had me on the very edge of my seat and there have been far too many unexplained incidents, missing hikers that are never heard or seen again, some that turn up dead and as for what has happened to Grace, has she met an equally unfortunate end? Well that was the case…what had happened and could they get her back before she met and sinister conclusion. The twists and turns came thick and fast but I was blown over by the fact that once Ian was on board, the true depth of his feelings was his driving force, he wanted to find her is only to let her know how much she meant to him. I thought I had the plot sussed at one point only to find that I was totally off track. This will have you guessing – fabulous!
Gotta be honest here... this series is simply brilliant. Suspenseful. Passionate. Sexy. Intense. Dangerous. Addicting. LP Dover knows all the right words to get me twisted up inside but of course in all the best ways. And those feels? So very real.
Aim is the third standalone novel in the Circle of Justice Series... each book following a different couple under different circumstances and I am reaching to say that this is the best this series has produced to date. And seriously I was hooked from the very start and devoured this book, ignoring my hubby and everything else until Grace and Ian were done gracing my kindle and even then I just wanted a smidge more.
Danger is lurking... can he keep her safe?
I loved these two and every moment they gave me. Ian and Grace were perfectly penned... giving the right amount of chemistry against the push and pull to keep my heart racing and blood pumping. Their journey was complicated and hard at times but it was so worth it by the end.
If you like your books a little edgier with a deeper storyline and fulfilling romance then try LP Dover!
Having tip toed around each other, fighting their attraction due to past hurts they are pushed together when she literally stumbles into his arms. Having survived being taken by an unknown assailant Grace finds herself under the protection of Ian Chandler, a man of many talents and an equal amount of secrets. Can he keep her safe and discover who wanted her dead before he runs out of time?
Aim is a standalone read in this series and is a suspenseful, intriguing read. It's a whodunit type story with quite a few suspects all with lots to gain so its a surprise when the story unfolds as to the motivations of the perpetrator. Well written, romantic and gripping I loved the sense of alpha male who has decided to claim his woman. I also enjoyed the easy bond of brother hood that was a strong theme throughout the story. I love this author's writing style and knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Grace is a string independent lady who holds her own and stands by her man. They are a lovely couple who I hope we catch sight of in further books in this series.
A four star save a horse ride a cowboy read ;)

Grace and Ian have circled around each other for a while. She refused his advances and thought of him as a playboy. Little did she know that he really belonged to the Circle of Justice and was an assassin. She is kidnapped and has to keep her wits about her if she is to get away from those that abducted her. Ian teams up with her father, the sheriff, to find her. Ian realizes just how important Grace was to him and vows to be a part of her life as soon as they are able to find her. Grace learns some confusing things while in captivity and knows she needs to get away. Ian and his brother, Reed, use their resources to track those that are responsible for the hunting and killing of humans. It all culminates in some surprising facts about who was doing it and why. I don't want to give any spoilers so you will need to read the book to find out what happens. I did like Ian and found him to be down to earth and pretty much a stand-up guy. His brother, Reed, also utilized all of his skills to bring those responsible to justice. Overall a good addition to this series.
Aim is the 3rd book in the "Circle of Justice" series. I have not read the previous books but the blurb said this book can be read as a stand-alone. I disagree. I was definitely missing the details and backstory especially on Grace and Ian's relationship. In fact, there was no detail about their friendship. The snippet about a kiss three weeks ago (in a previous book?) doesn't tell me how their feelings for each other evolved. There was no build-up or sexual tension. They were just madly in love with each other after a couple of weeks.
This storyline has been done before but this one felt ridiculous and unbelievable. And a reckless FBI agent?
"Usually, on my missions, I go in blind and wing it. I'm not a planner." - Seriously??? What FBI agent would be like that?
"Hell, Grace still cared for the guy, even after knowing he'd held knowledge of people being murdered." - Um, he's killed 200.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of L.P. Dover's "Aim" in exchange of an honest review.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has suspense, murder, laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.
Before reading this story please read the below books first Trigger (Circle of Justice #1) Target (Circle of Justice #2)
This is Grace and Ian‘s story. Ian is a hunter but also a FBI agent. When his latest case has him investigating a string of deaths in his town he knows things are about to change. When Grace shows up on his own land he knows that the case is about to get even more twisted. But the more he uncovers the more he knows he needs to keep Grace protected. But can he keep her out of danger? The more he falls the more he knows he will have to step up his hunter skills to stay ahead of the danger. But in the end can he solve the case and get Grace to stay with him? Or will he lose her in the end?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
AIM is the third (standalone) in the Circle of Justice series by LP Dover.
Ian Chandler is a FBI agent and a member of the Circle of Justice organization who go beyond the line of duty. Ian is looking into “accidental” hiker deaths around his Wyoming hometown. When Grace Myers, a person who has been missing for a handful of days, stumbles onto Ian’s land, he can’t help but help her. Little did he know, that she’d be the key to all the deaths.
LP Dover did an amazing job creating a story that captures you right at the beginning. I enjoyed that the danger kept building right a long with the chemistry that seemed to pull Grace and Ian together. The writing was crisp and the action was perfect. Everything was amazing! I look forward to reading more of LP Dover’s stories.

Aim by L.P. Dover is the third standalone novel in the Circle of Justice Series. The previous books in the series are Trigger and Target. Grace Myers, 28, a event and marketing manager at a hotel has a crush on Ian Chandler. Ian works for Circle of Justice, assassins who are after a mob leader. Then Grace gets kidnapped and she vanishes. Ian comes to her rescue. Everything could be peachy, but no, oh no. There is more, much, much more. Somwhere in the mix is a traitor, there are hidden and open threats, enemies and two main characters with a crazy chemistry. I really liked the book. I kied the writing and the words. I give 4,5 breathless stars. Thank you LP Dover !
This is the 6th book I've read by this author but the first in this series and I have to say this is by far my favorite book my this author! It literally grabs you in from the first chapter and keeps you guessing right until the end!
I loved reading about the slow developing relationship between Ian and Grace; I'm glad that while they knew each other prior to this incident that the author didn't rush to bring them together. I loved Ian's protective streak and that of his brothers. It was as if they all wrapped around Grace to protect her.
Can't wait to read what comes next for the brothers!
