Mikuliez' Things I Wish You Knew is written in a unique, yet predicable way. It chronicles the pain we feel during heartbreak, and the trauma left behind from great loves - or love we believe to be important at the time. What I really wanted from this collection was simply more. Heartbreak, especially in how it is described in Mikuliez' work, is messy and emotional and everything in between. I liked some of the work in this book, but I felt this could have been more. Whether it was more in-depth, more raw, or more words, it still felt true to what the writer was expressing.
