Nursing Research: Generating and Assessing Evidence for Nursing Practice, 10th Edition has been thoroughly updated and revised to emphasize the link between research and evidence-based practice, The 10th edition of this classic textbook presents state-of-the-art methods for conducting high-quality studies. Used this book in my Master's nursing research class. We only read selected chapters. Some chapters were quite boring. Too many details. But, a great reference book for the future.
Dr. Polit and Dr. Beck's book is comprehensive but accessible, teeming with nursing research examples. I particularly like statistical chapter; it is a good start to learn complicated statistical stuff. I recommend this both to undergraduate student nurses and those pursuing graduate studies in health sciences.
Read this for my masters class. Parts of it were overwhelming at times but I definitely formed a better understanding of research and will be using it again for my next class.
