How will these morons get back to their time now? The treadmill is destroyed!
Yeah, they travel back in time with a treadmill, take that back to the future!
I managed to read this today and 2 chapters of the Manhwa I am reading.
Tomorrow by this time I should have already quit the game I am addicted to.
Everything will go back to normal, more reading, more writing, possibly more movies.
I like how DC never let go of their history.
We saw the original scene of how the justice league was formed.
We heard mention of Flashpoint and we met the Batman of Flashpoint again.
If you read more DC you will probably notice more details like that than me.

The Flash #21 continues The Button storyline which started with Batman #21. For those who are interested what is happening here, Batman and Flash are trying to uncover the mystery behind the button which appeared in the Batcave (see DC Universe: Rebirth #1) which readers would recognize as The Comedian's pin from Alan Moore's Watchmen. The story so far takes us (slowly but surely) to the person or persons who "stole ten years away" from the DC characters, hence hurting them and making them weak. The Flash #21 is also tied to the events of Flashpoint, the event that ultimately gave birth to DC's New52 era. So I highly recommend that you read these three books first: DC Universe Rebirth, Watchmen and Flashpoint, and perhaps Before Watchmen: Dr. Manhattan as an optional one to fully appreciate what is going on with The Button special.

SPOILER-HEAVY review incoming. As a fast review, I just want to say that you have to buy and read this. BUY AND READ. You will be very much entertained.

I am really into this Rebirth thing DC's has, so I am so happy that so far, they have handled it pretty well, exceeding my expectations as a matter of fact. This issue treads on familiar Flash grounds, his origin story, his love for forensics, the Reverse Flash, the Mercury helmet which we all know belongs to Jay Garrick (JSA! JSA!) and the Cosmic Treadmill! Yes, the Cosmic f*ckin' treadmill. This paved the way for Batman and Superman to do some time-space-alternate reality travel, and boom Bruce Wayne met his father Thomas Wayne in the Flashpoint reality. I mean man, that last page reveal was absolutely perfect.

I was only reading this issue because it tied in with Batman. I should be reading Flash but I have no time. (Ha!) I wasn't sure if I would like it. I don't care about the Watchmen and don't read much Flash, but turns out I love Batman and Flash together. Who knew? ...Well, I guess I like Batman with a lot of people. But that was really good!

It was a good part in "The Button" story arc. But this story arc isn't quite making sense to me. All of a sudden things seem to have changed. Hope it will make sense in the next issues.

Very cool issue. Loved the Flashpoint tie in. I still have yet to read that event and this is really making me want to grab it!

On a side note: Was anyone else laughing at Batman using his freaking grappling hook on the treadmill through time/speedforce?!? I mean, I know you're Batman and all but that thing would be shredded in a second 😂😂

Certainly more captivating than Batman #21, but what is there that's new that it's trying to add to the mythos? Not much unfortunately. Some time travel, the Flashpoint universe... All too safe. I'm starting to feel thankful that this "event" is only 4 issues.

Things went slow at first and then the final page blow my mind, I've never been so excited like that for an arc.
Looking forward to the next issue.

The Button story is really good, best storyline in a long time for a comic book! But I hate when they dispatch a series in different heroes collection...

We still achieve very little here, but I'll say this, Williamson's over-explanation somehow makes me appreciate King's brevity.

The two writers have done what they could to begin a set up for the upcoming series. In th end the each had to make a stretch. Being the completist, as I am, I wanted to read these as they are both a part of series I am following. The story is not bad, but it’s just one very small piece in a much larger whole and if you don’t read the whole, there is not much to this.

The second part of The Button story. And, well... the main story itself still kind of suck. Watchmen, a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff and Barry as the source to travel though it. In other words, everything we've already seen for many times before, now featuring Dr. Manhattan. Which is a bad thing too, obviously.

What saves this chapter a lot is that, unlike previous one (that happened in Batman #21), this one is designed more like a mystery. And that's why it's much more interesting to read. We have two detectives here, after all. It feels a lot like Columbo, thanks to how at this point it's absolutely clear what happened with the universe and all we should do is to sit and watch how our heroes will find the truth. Personally, I'm not a big fan of such stories, since I prefer mysteries where readers should look for answers together with the main characters, but well... it's still somewhat exciting. And the cliffhanger at the end of this issue also looks fun. So yep, better than previous chapter of The Button, but... I still hate what they did with Watchmen.

This crossover is off to a MUCH better start than the Monster Men crossover. Flash and Batman together is a lot of fun and the art and colors popped in this issue.
