I have always loved Lego - ever since my Grandmother would buy me parts of the original Lego City during the summer school holidays till we got to the point we could make a whole town.

Then can Star Wars which fired my love of science fiction - long before Lego caught up with the idea my brother and I were building space ships and bases inspired by the films.

Then along can the franchise which I suspect has been one of the most profitable partnerships ever in Legos history and the rest as they say is history. I will admit for a while I would collect the sets but slowly as the popularity increases (and the value of the pound decreases) the kits got larger and more complex and yes more expensive - to the point now I can only dream and marvel and their ingenuity and design.

So as you can imagine this book is a treasure trove to me - not only can I see the breadth of the models Lego have produced over the years - and there are some amazing ones I can tell you but also the various iterations and versions of the same design over the years. To me this is the most fascinating part as you do not really get to appreciate that the models are constantly being viewed and improved upon constantly.

Lego for me is a fascinating material - just when you think there are only so many designs and models you can make there comes along something new and awe inspiring and for me the Star Wars kits are the quintessential proof that you are only limited by you own imagination. So anyone who loves the little plastic bricks and loves Star Wars this books is a must.

A fantastic overview of all the Star Wars LEGO sets from 1999 through 2017. If you're a Star Wars fan, if you're a LEGO fan, or if you're a Star Wars LEGO fan you'll love this book! The authors have done an amazing job of detailing all the minifigs and all various sets released throughout the years. You'll find yourself being nostalgic for those sets you missed acquiring, as well as revisiting the sets you may own but haven't put together in a while. A superb DK release!

Great compilation of the Star Wars Lego sets. Of course, there will be more, so if you like these books you'll have to get the next set in 5 years. Which is all right, this is different enough from the last one I owned as it is organized differently and has some cool developer notes throughout (I wish there were more though).
