Concise in the way only DK can do.

My favorite tips: happy hour at Bourbon House (p 91), Museum of Death (p 47), ferry ride (p 65 & 82), Riverwalk shopping (p 22).

Removable map included.

Great bullet points for major attractions and creating a loose itinerary.

There is very little information on hotels and many popular restaurants are left out.

All in all, a handy guide book complete with a map. Just make sure to read a more comprehensive book in addition to this one if you are really looking to be thorough.

Usually, I read the travel books beforehand, then, leave them at home. This is one travel book I would consider taking with me due to it's practical size, maps & condensed information. I forgot to mention it has pretty pictures! I will be visiting New Orleans for Mardi Gras 2014! Isn't that crazy!!
