This book looks like a good read for parents, it gives good examples and tips on how to help your pupil with specific maths topics they encounter at school. You have to be careful that it is based on the UK curriculum, more specifically English, but it works for other systems too.
It also offers interesting questions and general exam type questions, which are good. Also, it offers puzzle and other activities ideas.
Generally a good read. The only problem I had with it was the fact that it gave me the feeling that everything in maths class is extremely hard. For every higher topic, the words "hard", "difficult" or synonyms are used to much. This might be a personal problem for me, but I found it a little annoying from time to time.
