Știți cum se întâmplă când vedeți un videoclip cu pisici pe Youtube, apoi apare altul în dreapta, dați click și pe acela și tot așa? Până vă dați seama că, de fapt, doar voiați să căutați ceva pe Google. Cam așa am făcut eu după ce m-am apucat de citit. Totuși, aș recomanda să citiți cartea în doze mici, câteva povestioare când sunteți un pic triști, ca și cum ați mânca o bucățică de ciocolată. O recomand în primul rând copiilor, cu speranța că vor ajunge să îndrăgească pisicile, apoi le-o recomand acelor părinți care se uită când copilul lor trage pisica de urechi sau coadă și zic nonșalant ,,doar se joacă". If you are looking for a book that has stories about cats that ALL have happy endings, this is not it. This is a book that is filled with lots of short tales from around the globe (many in England, where this book is published) about actual cats and they range from happy, sad, bittersweet and everything in between.
There are heroic WW2 cats, cats who go on an incredible journeys, cats who survive unfortunate things, and a lot of rescues (cats and people).
There are stories about cats who were injured (by humans or otherwise), were born differently than other cats, and obviously as many of these take place in a past time, not all of them are alive now (and a few don't even make it past the end of the tale itself). If these things are not things you are comfortable with reading, or if you have just lost a pet, you may not be ready for this book.
There are some amazing tales about cats (and the people and other creatures that love them) in this book so be ready for quite the adventure when you read it.

One of our daughters gave me this book for Christmas. (I am a difficult person to find presents for!) It consists of "True Tales of Extraordinary Felines". It's a good book for when you're busy because you can pick it up and put it down again without losing the plot. There are some moving "acts of heroism" and some interesting examples of working cats who are essential members of staff in various situations. There are alsoo some interesting facts about cats and, at the back, a list of useful organisations for cat-owners and aspiring cat-owners.
