To avoid the annoying Backyardigans, we switch over to Sprout and watch Bob the Builder. The other night, Natalie suddenly starts singing the theme song. So, when I saw a Bob the Builder book in the board book section at the library, there was no question that it was coming home with us. The plot of this book is very simple. Bob has lost his hammer and the machines and cat try to help him find it. I think the solution is funny - he's put it in his lunch box by mistake. Natalie really likes the cat, which is funny since if you follow the cat you find the hammer sooner. The rest of the flaps aren't that great. Natalie likes the ones that would be real things that open the best, like doors and boxes.
Another used book find today. Pretty standard lift the flap Bob the Builder finder. Some of the flaps were good and my son was surprised by what was under them. Others not so much. Glad I only paid 25 cents for it.
This was a cute lift the flap simply story line for young readers. My special needs son and almost 3 year old granddaughter giggled as we 'looked' for Bob's tool. Lifting the flap and finding cats, birds etc.
