Stay After Class: The Professor Will See You Now

Rate this book
Amanda Slade is a virgin and she's on a mission to change that by her twenty-second birthday.

After waiting more than twenty-one years to find the right person to do the deed, she’s sure her sexy professor is the one.

Professor Jem Nichols is a rising star in New York’s art world. He’s gorgeous and a grown-up and ... totally out of her league. She has to find a way to get him to notice her.

Then one day he asks her to stay after class. And things begin to percolate.

The professor has a lot on his plate preparing for a major art exhibition and he should not allow himself to fall for the virgin student who has captivated his imagination. But as much as he tries to resist the intoxicating and inexperienced Ms. Slade, he cannot say goodbye at the end of the semester.

He's painfully aware of the university rules, and touching her could be his undoing, but something about her makes him want to break the rules. He has to find a way to protect her.

He refuses to hastily take her virtue. Instead, he insists on taking her on a journey and teaching her the most important lessons of lovemaking.

By the time they're done, he'll know every inch of her flesh. But with the pressure of his gallery opening happening the same night she's due to lose her virginity, will he be the one to take her all the way?

If you love student-teacher romances you will love the heat between Ms. Amanda Slade and Professor Jem Nichols. But you must be 18 or over because this book is very steamy.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was a lot of fun with some steamy scenes thrown in. It was a fairly short read so the characters weren’t overly developed and the story was simple but it was definitely an enjoyable read.

The story starts with Amanda Slade joining a app that tracks the loss of her virginity. For some reason she feels that if she doesn’t lose her virginity by her 23rd birthday she will be alone for the rest of her life. This never really made sense to me but it was what got the story started and played a pretty big part in the end.

Professor Jem Nichols was someone I wish I had had as a Professor when I was in college. He was steamy hot and very dedicated to showing Amanda what a real romance is supposed to be. Jem wanted their relationship to be real and not get any bad backlash from others so he insisted they start their relationship after the end of the semester, that way he would no longer be her teacher. Then when they finally started officially seeing each other, he didn’t want to be one of those people that just immediately jumped on a girl because she was available and a virgin. I think more guys should be like that.

Overall, the story was a lot of fun. While sex played a large role in the story, their growing relationship was the main plot. The ending was super steamy and sexy. I recommend this to anyone who loves erotic romance with a little more meaning thrown in.

This is a fun, steamy and classy student-professor romance that was well-written! I loved the way the author teased the reader right along with Amanda, the heroine. I also appreciated that the hero was respectful of the heroine throughout, and asked for lots of enthusiastic consent. A definite must-read if you enjoy "forbidden" romances!

'Stay After Class" by A. C. Rose is the story of Jem and Amanda.
Amanda is in college and who will be turning 22 in a very short period of time and wants to lose her virginity. Amanda has her sights set on Jem who is her College Art teacher. Jem is older than she is and Amanda finds older men attractive. Jem plays slow with Amanda but you can't tell it will be hot exciting relationship these two are gonna have.
Once I started their story I didn't want to put it down!

College senior virgin desperately wants her cork popped before her next birthday, because a psychic told her to. She’s got her sights set on her art professor doing the honors, but the last thing she expected was for him to take her on a long frustrating journey to that point.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand it’s a well-told romance, but on the other. . . I can’t imagine her being that patient with someone who, as much as he wanted to do right by her, was manipulating her the entire way. He certainly wouldn’t have done that with an older woman, or one not as innocent. Despite his claims, it felt like this whole long timeline was more about him; she could have been more open about what her deadline and the dating app meant, but he treated her like a child far too much, and his excuse of “protecting” her was the ultimate in condescension.
As for the characters, Amanda was a lot of fun, as was her BFF. Even their emoji use was on point; the cherry with the fireworks was particularly hilarious, as well as the band-aid. As for him, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy who simply has no idea how to treat a modern woman; he seems to be stuck in some sort of weird age of chivalry, mixed with some Neanderthal “She’s mine” crap. Every other character seemed to be differing shades of evil.
I will admit the author almost got me by including a musical piece by one of my fave musicians, Jesse Cook, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t give any extra credit for that.

Not a huge fan but I am not into this type of romance any longer. The girl want to lose her virginity before she turns 22. Many things bothered me like she was into Jem her Basic Art teacher but IF he didn't help her before her birthday she was going to use anyone but she really likes him and wants it to be him but if he won't help then any guy will do....I hated that mentality. She had the hots for this teacher and he asked that she wait for the semester to be over (fair enough he doesn't want to lose his job) Anyway they have a decent thing going but this author thought it would be funny to say if he won't she'll get someone else...not sure but I hated that part of this book. I didn't love this to begin with. It was fast and parts were good but mostly it was meh

This was an okay read. I loved the premise, it what attracted me to the book, but the story was dragging in parts.

I guess I really didn't like Jem that much, the way he always kept Amanda hanging seemed immature. She was a very engaging, and self-aware, and everything I like in a person. Jem's handling of her seemed immature on his part. He would rush towards a subject, a moment, a connection, then withdraw without explanation, or vague and flowy reasons

Jem slightly redeemed himself in the end, but the aftertaste of his previous behaviour lingered

Slow & sexy road to Kismet goal ;-D

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Stay After Class written by AC Rose and voluntarily reviewed this book. Amanda Slade was mesmerized when she met the school's new art professor, Jemisin Nichols. He was frankly hot and charismatic, just the kind of male she wanted to be her first. But time was running out, according to her fortune reading, and she was going to miss her window to lose her virginity if she doesn't act on it.

A carefully drawn-out seduction of Amanda's senses is what follows when Jem finally gives in to this taboo teacher-student relationship, meanwhile juggling pressures from his gallery and discrimination from his fellow college staff. But things are certainly not moving along fast enough for Amanda, because losing her virginity with Jem quickly became another one of her obsessions.

This was an enjoyable first read from this author ;-D Jem absolutely did Amanda and her inexperience romantic justice by relishing many of her firsts with her, with an artist's appreciation for her beauty and soul.

Lovely Story.

This was my first read by this author and it was great.
This book has been on my Kindle for absolutely ages... So glad I finally got around to reading it. 😄

This story is unlike any other student/teacher book I've read... And I've read many, because it's one of my favourite tropes.
This was not a sleazy, smutty book at all, but at the same time, highly erotic.

This was one professor who, when the time was right, became a true teacher in every sense of the word... One who treated his "student" with honour, respect and endless patience.
If this sounds cryptic, it's because I won't do spoilers. Do yourself a favour and read it for yourself.
It's a beautiful story.

* a few editing errors & typos, but not enough to distract from the story.
* standalone
* profanity limited but justified
* heat level about 3.5 flames)

Good stuff!

This was an enjoyable read. Out of the student-teacher relationship books that I have read, it was one of the good ones. I thought the story was great. Though I do wish that the story was longer and the characters were more developed. I thought that it was quite interesting. The relationship between Jen and Amanda was great. They finally showed each other their feelings near the end of the book. Hence, I think the last 25% of the book was the best. The ending was sweet. I am glad that they got their happily ever after. Overall, a great read.

I wasn't really impressed with this book. Amanda's sole focus on losing her virginity seemed to completely take over the storyline. It came across extremely annoying and immature. I felt very frustrated by her character by the end of the book. Worth the read if you are looking for a book with not that complicated of a storyline.

Note, I did receive an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Creepy not romantic

I found this book to be anything but romantic. The main character comes over as a bit of a airhead. Basing her whole love life on an astrology reading. And her behaviour in the book is not intelligent at all. The actions of the Professor in th story is supposed to be mysterious and romantic but to me it just came over as creepy and manipulative. As a result I found the story more disturbing than romantic. Not my cup of tea.

Too strung out

I thought this would be a good read. The sexual tension was there, but it took so long to get to the actual penetration that I got bored with all of his excuses and "lessons". I actually quit reading while they were finally making love because it took so long to get there. Could have been so much better.

Egh

It was okay. For some reason I thought the teacher was a jealous psychotic. I woulda much preferred Mr. Model.

It was over played and way to blah. I hate how the virgins are always played as dumb unknowing shits.

I literally skimmed through once i got to like 39%
Just got a book for me.

That was a great read about a girl that want to lost her V, but will it be that easy?
I loved the "action" built almost until the end of the book.
Jem was great - he hadn't been rushed in this relationship like I found teachers/professors in other books.
Really enjoyable read for mature readers!

What a read! Was Jem leading Amanda on? Was he really interested in her? Should she invest her time or move one? Would he put her first or pull back for wealth, recognition and fame? All I can say is what a Jem. Great book boyfriend.

Don't bother

This story was awful. The girl is just that a girl, a very immature 21year-old. I don't care that she's a virgin she's completely ignorant. She didn't know what a blow job was and she used terms like "down there" very childish.

Frustrating

I felt for the heroine. Jen had me so frustrated that for most of the book I thought he was just messing with her, but it all came together in the end for them.

I enjoyed the story and its premise, a young woman who had been so determined to get her Bachelor Degree she that she had given up on having any romantic relationships. So here she is at 21 and still a virgin. She is now ready to change that condition before she starts on her Master Degree. Except she wants the experience to be more than getting laid she wants a discriminating partner. With a couple of required courses to complete she continues he search. Her requirements require some general classes so she enrolls in a drawing class although she was not an art major. And there was her Professor just the kind of man she had envisioned to take her virginity. Class events and her best friend's involvement alerted her Professor to her goal and he was interested not in just sex but her personality. The rest of the story is about seduction and it is a very well written story not porn but sophisticated seduction and it made a very appealing book.

Gotta have goals!

This book is not some "wham bam thank you ma'am" erotic romance. Nope! The tone of the book is upbeat and lighthearted and I really enjoyed the plot.

Amanda had her reasons for desperately wanting to "swipe her V-card," and being unlearned in such arts made for some pretty funny, though awkward, moments. Still, she let nothing stand in her way, and I was proud of her for sticking up for her self-respect later on in the story when her deadline was approaching.

I honestly wasn't sure what to think of Jem at first. He spoke in a very formal manner, using words like "alas" on a regular basis and I wasn't sure how he would handle Amanda once he found out about her mission in the most embarrassing way possible. But when he became aware of said mission, he put a plan in motion that had me 100% sure I liked him.

Needless to say, this book is WAY HOT. A.C. made the delicious tension between Amanda and Jem last through the whole story, and I eagerly turned the pages wondering what would happen!

And the ending! My goodness. I was VERY happy with the ending.

This was my first A.C. book, but I don't think it will be my last!

***I received this book as an ARC copy for my honest review.
Amanda is a student whom has never had any interest in boys/ dating etc. Her mum was worried about this and why she had no interest, so she took Amanda to her astrologer, he told Amanda that she has an old soul which means she cant stand or tolerate men who aren't mature and grown up. Amanda needs someone who can challenge her,and have similar intelligence to her. He gave her an approx time her window of opportunity that she will find someone who is a good match for her, but should she miss it, it will be a few more years before it opens again.
Amanda is a Virgin, she is desperate to find that person to not only loose it with her but become involved with each other...
Amanda thinks Professor Jem Nichols is good looking and stumbles around him. After an interesting first introduction, Jem doesn't realize Amanda is a student at the university and invites her to his gallery show. She however purchases a copy of one of his works, and enrolls her into the Professors art class. Both pretend they don't recognize/ know each other. Amanda is infatuated with Jem. Things begin to turn around when one art class, reveals her biggest secret. From then on things began to change between them, little by little.....
My two cents...
I have to say that i love the way that Amanda is still Ms Slade even when he is Jem once they start their studies on love making. It shows the level of their differences, age, experience and all that but with a sexy authority when he calls her Ms Slade you still feel its the teacher student relationship but technically not wrong/taboo as hes no longer her teacher. Love that it has a HEA a real feel good end that ties up all the stories loose ends.
A well written book, that wasn't just about penetrating sex but also about the art of love, making love.
