Good Kinda Crazy

Rate this book
I would like to tell you a story about true friends, change, and real love. This is deeper than a love story, this is a connection you can’t possibly explain without first experiencing it, a love rarely found. When all I wanted to do was go home and put it all behind me, one chance meeting sent me in another direction. I traveled a road I could have never imagined.

Before you invest your time in our story, I should warn you, these people aren’t like your typical friends. These kinds of friends are few and far between. If you don’t believe in love at first sight, or second chance love, then you should probably skip our story.

I was written in him, he was written in me, we were written in the stars.

My hope is that you go into our story with an open mind and like me, find something life-changing you can take with you. Because one person believed in me, I didn’t give up. I became someone I didn’t even know I wanted to be.

For her. For him. For me. For us. For humanity.

Can you imagine feeling like the life you were living didn’t quite fit? What if you didn’t even realize just what was wrong and that maybe it wasn’t you didn’t fit, but everything around you? I’m not talking about a bad day, or a bad situation, I mean a total bad fit. A GOOD KINDA CRAZY by Jettie Woodruff is the story of serendipity, of finally being in the right place at the right time and taking the path less traveled, as opposed to the path others think you should follow.

Atlantis’ life has been scarred with mistakes, loss and the heartache of having to get up each morning, knowing you didn’t belong, that you weren’t truly loved. A horrendous accident has put Atlantis behind bars. When she is released, she knows the life she would go back to is no life at all, but it wasn’t until she meets the quirky ray of sunshine, Tristan that she dares to walk on the wild and free side, doing what is best for her, not what is expected.

GOOD KINDA CRAZY is quirky, humorous and heartwarming as we witness the transformation of one woman into a butterfly who learns to fly and feel free for the very first time. Discover a serendipitous event that seems more than just coincidence, but part of a plan for happiness and joy. I did find myself wanting to know more about Tristan's relationship it seemed too vague, almost like I should have known it already. Considering Tristan's vibrancy, her relationship felt unexplained.

A fun read, filled with a light-hearted attitude and unafraid to set out different thoughts, lifestyles and events that we may never experience, unless, we, too, take a chance on the edge.

I received this copy from Jettie Woodruff in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! Mind blown! I went into this book thinking it was one thing, only for it to be a completely different story that I have ever read. Yes, this is a love story but, it is more than a man and a woman romance. There is self-love and love of all things given to us daily that we ignore and never acknowledge.
Atlantis is going through changes in her life that she needs to face head on. She doesn’t know how to move on with her life without being judged by society. She is letting others opinions shape her life. She meets Tristan, from ‘Peace Love Resistance’, who turns her life around and helps her on her journey of discovery. Sometimes Atlantis got on my nerves but, it’s hard to change overnight and that is what I was expecting (pressure much?), I just wanted what was best for her and could see what Tristan and others were trying to tell and show her! This is a must read for those who are open-minded and willing learn new things.
Ryle. Gosh, it’s hard not to love Ryle. He is genuine, kind and understanding in all the choices that Atlantis has ever made. He is a believer of fate, destiny, the belief that there is a reason for everything and when it is going to happen.
We see a previous couple from this series (Tristan and Tobias) and they are still as sweet and amazing as ever. Free love. Loved them and loved seeing them again. Can’t wait for book 3!
Also. Tantra. Look it up, learn what it is about and try it with your partner!
Honestly I have never come away from a book so open-minded in my life. Jettie had to do a lot of research for this book. I can see the amount of time she put into it! That makes me love this book so much more. The one thing that I took away from this book is that I am going to become a Vegetarian. Many don’t know this but I have been debating with myself for weeks about this. I recently bought chickens as pets and for fresh eggs. Ever since, it’s been hard to eat chicken and I haven’t had any since getting them. After this book, I’m going a step further and cutting meat out entirely! So, Thank You Jettie for giving me the boost that I needed!

This is the first book I am reading by this author. I have to tell you I was a bit confused as the book started. As I started to read I didn't know if the story was being told in the eyes of a man or a woman.

As the story went on I realized the message the author was trying to convey. To go against what society thinks is the norm. After that realization the book started to make a little more sense. There is so much that happens in this book it is hard to just pick one thing to focus on. The story has more of a focus on a friendship than a romantic relationship.

When Atlantis meets Tristan. She is at one of the lowest points in her life. Their friendship and Tristan's personality goes against any type of norm you might think there is.

Tristan is the type of friend who is the best kind of friend for you. She will make you face the things you didn't want to face to begin with. Then she will turn around and make you feel all that much better for doing it. She pushes you beyond what you comfortable with.

There is so much that goes on in this book but it conveys a great message. It will truly get you to think. This is not your typical love story. It is more about the love you can find by opening your horizons. - Vanessa

"Change your vibe and your tribe changes."

Another life changing, eye opening book by Jettie Woodruff.

Atlantis, fresh from a prison sentence that would never end in her mind.  A moment of poor judgment that will forever change her life.

Fate has intervened and Atlantis meets Tristan (Peace Love Resistance by Jettie Woodruff) while waiting for her bus to take her back home.  Home to a husband that she doesn't really love, a life she doesn't enjoy.  Meeting Tristan at this moment in her life will forever change her. Mind, body, and soul.

Atlantis has been going through the motions of life and needs the wake-up call that has landed in her lap.  At the exact moment in which she needs it.

Many of the characters we met in Peace Love and Resistance are featured in this book also.  Two characters, Scout and Ryle will forever embed themselves into your heart.  They are game changers for Atlantis too. Eye opening is a word that will be coming to your mind while reading this book.

I messaged the author while reading at one point that my husband may be sending her flowers the following day.  There is a scene between Atlantis and Ryle that will absolutely blow you away, sexy, hot, steamy, sensual, provocative scene that will have you googling #TantricSex!

But honestly, this book is about opening your mind to other possibilities. Not always conforming to what society has deemed "the norm", being your true self. Ms. Woodruff brings to mind so many other options on the way in which we live our lives. Opens your mind to
"If you want to spread drama you're going to get it back. If you spread nothing but light and love, guess what you're going to get back."

Jettie Woodruff should be getting quite a bit of light and love coming her way once everyone has read this book.

Phenomenal, eye opening, life changing book.

This is one of my all time favorite books! Atlantis has had a hard life and things haven't ever been easy for her. When she meets Tristan, her life starts to change. She learns to see things in a more positive way than ever before. I highly recommend this book! A definite must read!

Good Kinda Crazy by Jettie Woodruff a fab four star read. This is a stand-alone but does follow on from Peace, Love and Resistance and I would recommend reading that one first if you can as you do get a better understanding of the people and the authors style of writing. The style can be a little hard to comprehend at first as the author tells us the story in a manner and wants us to focus on that story and not what should be. What’s deemed right and wrong, and normal. It makes it a more compelling read.
Atlantis is at one of the lowest points in life when meeting Tristan, and it may just be the best thing to happen as life isn’t going the way it should, almost feeling like fate has failed, but maybe it just has another plan. This author makes you question what you believe, and makes you think about more than what you normally do while reading a story of other people’s lives.

Wow! Just Wow! I loved this book. It's one of those books you walk into expecting one story and during the process of reading it, find yourself changed - or well on your way.
Atlantis has been dealt the worst kind of hand in life, while waiting for a bus back home to Pennsylvania she meets Tristan in a bus station. Tristan complete with her 3 month old strapped to her front, a couple of duffles and a baby pack, coffee and muffins. When Atlantis helps her, these two strike up the most unlikely conversation which then builds into a friendship that truly comes from another place. Tristan comes from the heart. Something Atlantis hasn't dealt with in a very long time. Atlantis doesn't really want to go home, her (?) husband waiting for her and two step daughters. He's a demanding, insensitive... you get the idea and read the book and let him simmer in your head for a while at the stuff he spews out of his mouth. Tristan nudges Atlantis to go to California, her mother has an empty condo there and she can take the time she needs to regroup. She even gives her her flip phone. Yep. Flip phone. No smart phones for Tristan. A week later Tristan calls and says she has to leave the Moms condo but she's got it all planned out for Atlantis to come to North Carolina, her twin flame aka Ty is working on redoing buses they're going to live in. That really sets Atlantis back on her heels and she wonders what the heck she's doing but she goes. And wow the story just takes off from there.
I truly do love this book. For a number of reasons but for most of us maybe our lives weren't as broken as Atlantis, but we all have some serious garbage we carry around. Tristan lived what she believed. It's contagious. It's about loving yourself just enough to not settle for less than and about being grateful among other things. Growing a social conscience and lovingkindness. Something we could all show ourselves a little more of. This book goes far and above 5 stars for me.
I can't wait for the next one. Snicker.
Beautiful Jettie, just beautiful. Thank you.

This is a standalone but you sort of meet Atlantis in The previous book from this author. I love seeing Atlantis come out of her shell get a backbone and move forward with her life. She was scared most of the time but watching that helped you sympathize with her even more.

Ryle was such an amazing man. He was easy going and so understanding that your heart can do doing but melt. I love how her was with Atlantis. Their relationship while rocky and different was beautiful and amazing and they just seem to get each other after time.

The author did an amazing job with this book.I love seeing Tristan being such an important character as a cheerleader for Atlantis.

The first halfish Of this book was Atlantis trying to make it on her own until we are thrown for the biggest loop I did not see coming. I love how the author was able to keep me on the edge of my seat and then make my jaw drop with revelations.

Overall, the author did an amazing job incorporating characters from past books into this new book. It was amazing seeing some amazing characters and having them push (so to speak) Atlantis. I can't wait to read more from this author. Her books seem to get better and better! 4 stars #2OCCJD

I was hooked from the first page of this book. I honestly can not even think of the right words to describe this book. My feelings are all over the place right now..in a good way of course. Jettie really outdid her self with this book. The story of Atlantis pulled me in and made me believe in things that I no longer believed existed. I honestly felt like I was going through everything she was from her being released from prison to going to a city all alone, to escape what she had to go home to. The things Atlantis was holding on to, any parent would, but how she overcame it and why...oh the feel goods and the tears. I don't want to give anything away but this book is like no other I have read...it leads you down the road to see things like you have never looked at them or seen them before. And yes I said see..because you will start looking for things in your life that are right in front of us and have never noticed before or we pushed it to the side. If you need motivated, inspired or just uplifted the story of Atlantis, Tobias, Ryle and everyone are going to make you smile, and your heart all fuzzy warm. Now with that said there will be twist and turns to get their and some good loving along the way that you may of never experienced. I didn't want this book to end...

This is the second book in this series, and while it can be read as a standalone it really should be read after the first book.

A great story that will make you look at life differently. When fate brings two people together, they are brought together for a reason. Everything changes when Tristan meets Atlantis at the bus station. Atlantis' husband isn't worth anything we learn after he advises her not to come home just yet despite having not seen each other in a year. Atlantis immediately comes to the rescue and a new story begins from there.

This book is beautifully written, I enjoyed it so much. I did not read the first book because I didn't realize there was a first book lol But with that being said I didn't feel like I needed to at all. It was a complete story with no pieces missing for me to love the book, I will go back and read book 1 now though because I loved this one so much. It really made me stop and reevaluate my life and outlook. There are so many lessons to be learned from this book! I highly recommend it <3

4 Stars!
“It was crazy. Good kinda crazy. That’s the best way I can describe it.”

I’m so glad Jettie is writing again. This book is thought provoking and carries some life lessons. I actually anticipated a very different story. The summary blurb makes this book sound like a romance novel about love at first sight and second chances. However, I think it’s misleading. This book is about self-discovery and finding peace within. Its more women’s fiction as it focuses on Atlantis and her journey. While Ryle does appear to be the love of her life, or twin flame as they call it, their relationship isn’t the focal point. Atlantis is the focal point and how she starts on this journey to learn about forgiveness, self-discovery, and love.

Atlantis is a very relatable character, at least for me, she is. She’s had a rough life and it has altered her view of the world, herself, and the meaning of life. There’s a pessimism that radiates from her. She’s been through so much, but honestly, for her situation, I think she’s doing better than I would imagine myself doing. I’m 99% sure I would have the same dark outlook on life if I were to ever experience what Atlantis has.

“Because there’s so much more to life than you’re seeing.”

However, the book isn’t dark or depressing. It’s uplifting. This book instills hope and love. There’s a bit of a self-help tone to his novel, but in a good way because I find myself contemplating my choices and taking time to appreciate the life and people around me.

It’s a story that showcases love on all levels from our soul mates, to friends, and family. I love the support Tristan gives Atlantis. I think good friends are hard to come by and I believe we do need to support each other more.

“Women need to build each other up, empower them, and remind them what they’re doing here.”

I love the relationship between Ryle and Atlantis. I do think they are soul mates and their love is on fire. As much as I love Ryle and Atlantis, I found myself loving Scout and Atlantis’ relationship the most. The mother-child bond is something that has a special place in my heart and I love reading about it.

At the end of the book, I feel a sense of peace as I contemplate my life and the journey I want to create. However, I also feel something missing from the story. The story lacks a climax. There’s no big issue to overcome. It’s a slow steady progress for Atlantis. Overall though, I really enjoyed this story and I think it has a great outlook on life and an inspiring message.

“I learned it really was my story, and I could write it however I wanted.”

Jodie's Review 4.5 Stars

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.”

I am in book love, completely, blinded let me absorb all the words at once, love. This is one of those books that surprise you with its story because it’s so much more than just a simple love story. It’s about discovering a deeper you and accepting everything around you with positivity.

This is Atlantis story and her finding herself after being on a “Destination Lesson”. It is during that destination lesson that she meets Tristan, whom we have met before in book 1 of this is series. Tristan pushes Atlantis to find herself and absolutely becomes the friend she needs. Atlantis can be a character you want to smack but in the same sense I seen myself in her flaws and her hang ups. I knew what Tristan was doing, I seen what she wanted Atlantis to see and I wanted her to see it too but I also found myself understanding the struggle. Then there is Ryle, OMG INSTANT HIPPIE LOVE FROM ME!! I could picture him so clearly in my mind that my body swore I knew him. As I write this I can still see him in my mind. He is all about fate, destiny and twin flames. He made me want to be like him. He was so forgiving and so… He is a male Tristan and I loved him more!

Ryle, also let me experience Tantra!! I called my husband and asked him to book a therapist that does it. Might have bought a book. Might be obsessed with that currently. Quit judging me and just go learn about it! MIND, BODY AND SOUL. Yeah all of it, you need it yesterday!! Tantra isn’t the only thing I learned from this book, I actually closed this book and started quoting things and wanting to be more open minded. I have decided to spend an hour a day meditating and trying to tell my ego to take the day off. Jettie really made me believe in things in this book and for that I give her so much more credit. She made me want to be better for myself. LOVE MYSELF DAILY! It’s a book that made me want to say thank you and it has me so excited for book number 3!!

Good Kinda Crazy is the type of story that really makes you look at your own life and truly evaluate what you consider important to you. As you read Atlantis's journey from darkness to light you begin to contemplate on things you love and want in your life and everything you could do without and what are the steps to removing them from your path.

When you're looking forward but all you see is your past, how do you find the strength to move on? This is the dilemma Atlantis is faced with when she is released from prison. Consumed with guilt she believes she doesn't deserve to be happy- ever. On her way back to her life with her husband she encounters Tristan and Baby T. After reading Peace, Love, Resistance you already know that Tristan is a free spirit and has dedicated her life to restoring humanity. Tristan feels a connection to Atlantis and convinces her to ride the bus with her to California.

Atlantis is bitter and angry, at this point she's not buying what Tristan is selling. Tristan's love story about her and Tobias is unrealistic to Atlantis since her husband basically dictated and used her during their marriage. Tristan's over the top kindness is just too much to handle. The weird food she keeps feeding her should be disgusting but for some strange reason she likes it. Worst of all, Tristan thinks that she's going to convince Atlantis to live her lifestyle and free her mind. Nope! Atlantis doesn't want any part of this.

As Atlantis's dark thoughts consume her and emotions become uncontrollable, spoken words lead to new discoveries. How will Atlantis be able to cope with everything that has been uncovered? Will she let her walls crumble and give herself an opportunity to live her life and be happy? How can she move on when everything surrounding her reminds her of the hurt that's buried deep inside her soul?

Read Good Kinda Crazy after Peace Love Resistance in order to get the full effect. I can't wait to reading Dane and Myrna's story but most of all I looking forward to finding my own path.

Have you ever read a book so strong, powerful, emotional, and inspirational that left your mind spinning, your heart racing, and the biggest smile on your face? THIS IS THAT BOOK! Words cannot describe the bliss and pure joy I am feeling from this book. Let me tell you it rocked my world. This will be a story that sticks with me for years to come.

Sometimes life isn’t fair… or is there a bigger purpose that one might not see until a door is opened and a new journey begins. Atlantis believes her whole world is crashing down around her. She has no real place in the world that she feels like she belongs. Everything is for show and it’s all make believe, but Atlantis is about to meet a group of people that will change her life forever.

Oh the feels while reading this book. My emotions were all over the place. I laughed, I cried, my heart was so full of sorrow, but then filled again will pure happiness. This book is a great life lesson because at any moment life can change in the blink of an eye. Ryle is one man that I wish was a real life book boyfriend because he is so loving, supportive, and by far one of the sweetest human beings ever. I love how this story is connected with Peace Love Resistance because I sure missed Ty and Tristan. I honestly cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book because it will leave your mind open and your heart full. Truly beautiful in every way.

I've missed Jettie and her wonderful way with words, so it was a no-brainer that I was gonna jump in to her newest, Good Kinda Crazy...I just love the title.
But please heed the "Warnings" and don't expect the Jettie stories from awhile back..this is totally different and she's not lying.
This is a non angst ridden, easy to read story about life. Serious contemplation of your life goals, desires, needs and fate. Fate had Atlantis meeting Tristan just out of prison...and from there Atlantis starts a new journey. One of forgiveness, self awareness, and maybe, just maybe peace.
Good Kinda Crazy was a good book. I did find it took longer to read because there really was no suspense to keep you flipping the pages. There was no real anticipation in what was gonna happen next. So if you're looking for a seat of your pants read, or dark and edgy, not here.... If you're looking for sexy and seductive, keep looking...
If you're looking for self reflection, something a tad more on the serious side, and soul searching...you've hit the nail on the head... or you're just a Jettie Woodruff fan and you're gonna read whatever she writes anyways... you're gonna be really happy with Good Kinda Crazy

WOW!! This book has so many life lessons that if everyone saw things and did things this way the world would be better off. To go from thinking you have it all (husband, house, step kids),then to prison then to living in a bus. Hmm is that a good thing or a bad thing? Could the wrong thing actually lead to the right thing? Can meeting a person at a bus station or anywhere for that matter change your whole world for the better? What if we all saw things in a different stand point things we never thought of before? What if having no TV,computers and cell phones was actually better for us? Oh wait we had that a long time ago and things were simpler then. In this book not only do you get a story about love, heartbreak and friendship but you get some life lessons as well. This book had me do some soul searching and really think about things there are things we take for granted. Great read! I really recommend everyone reading this. WONDERFUL JOB and wonderful writing Jettie!

My Review of Good Kinda Crazy by Jettie Woodruff
My Rating 5 Epic Stars
First off, this isn’t only a story it’s a new movement of living life “Your Way”
Atlantis is a woman who is getting out of a bad situation and learning to make changes even as uncomfortable as they may be. She is learning all kinds of new things about herself, from new friends such as Tristan who I want as my friend! This book is so empowering, that by the time you get to the end You’ll want to make changes in your own life and you’ll understand that things happen for a reason even if we don’t understand them at the time. I highly recommend you take the journey with this incredible story you’ll not be disappointed.

I can’t speak enough about this book. It is a life changer, like nothing I’ve ever read. I have already recommended to others and will continue to do so. I wish I could give this book more stars. It is my top read so far for this year. I have never read Ms. Woodruff’s books before, but now I am a fan and will have to read everything she’s written.
The characters in this book are so real that you wish they were around you. The good and the bad, the whole message of the book just blew me away. I can’t even write a cohesive review because of how mind blowing it is. Definitely worth every star I could give. I’ve even been thinking about renovating a bus after my daughter is gone. If you read the book you would understand.
If you like life changing books, this is one for you. The message is just so pure in my opinion.

This book came to me in just the right time in my life. With the loss of my mother to cancer just months prior this book was something that i needed in my life. Jettie Woodruff has a way with words that makes you sit and jsut want to pay attention to everything that her characters have to say. and in the case of Good Kinda Crazy this was that life has many chapters to it and things happen in those chapters that make us who we are ment to be. If you give good to the world around you then that what you will be given in return.
this is one of those books that can be looked upon as a romance, but it has the undertone of a self-help book that most everyone in the word today needs in their life.

Wow. Just wow! This book is so different from any previous genres of romance I have ever read and I adored this book. There was an amazingly positive vibe to this book that even when my heart was breaking...repeatidly... I still could not possibly have stepped away. As a matter of fact, I literally devoured this entire story from start to finish. The author was new to me and I loved how much attention to detail she paid in all aspects of her characters. I don't like to leave information in a review as it pertains to the story line itself, because that just ruins the book for the individuals scoping out a new author. Therefore I'd just like to say that reading this book couldn't possibly be disappointing.

I received an ARC copy of this book in anticipation of a honest review.

When I started this story, and at least for a few chapters, I thought what the heck I got myself inti..it was def crazy, good kinda crazy obv..It's like I experienced a journey alongside Atlantis.
It's a love story, yes, but it's so mich more than that.. It's about finding yourself again, beginning a new life, making meaningful friendships and dealing with whatever comes your way with a positive attitude, taking a chance and trust.
Atlantis went through a lot and I admired her, a lot. It takes a lot of cpurage to walk away and start again.
I loved Tristan, the way of life and cheerful disposition, the need to help and uplift rather than degrade.
It was a slow burn kind of story and it did fit the characters.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and let me tell you that it will not be the last. The great thing about this book are the little extra meanings behind the book. It tells the story of friends becoming more and how they manage this crazy thing we call life. While this book is a stand alone and you will be able to figure out really quickly where we are in the story line, I do recommend that you start at the beginning to get a full appreciation of this story. As I said though, I did not read anything before and I absolutely loved this book. In fact I am starting the rest now just to get more!

Trying to avoid spoilers so I'll be careful. This is a story of a very lost woman's journey to love...love of herself, other people, forgiveness of herself and other people. Her journey begins with a chance meeting with a free spirit, Tristen. Eventually she finds Rile, her other half. There are many twists and turns through Atlantis's, yes that is her name like the lost continent, story. Some will make you laugh and some will make you cry. It is unlike any book I've read. Please read, it is a very rewarding journey.

This is my first book by this author (I have read a cowritten book that she was an author in) and WOW! This book makes you seriously think about life. It's powerful.
I loved Tristan, she just has an amazing personality that will touch your soul. She is compassionate and loving when Atlantis needed it the most. She was by far my favorite character, I can't believe wait to read her book!
Atlantis is a lost soul who is trying to find her way. Life handed her quite a few curve balls so she is doing her best to turn her life around.
I would recommend this book!!

Wow! This book is NOTHING like I expected! I knew to go into it with an open mind and I am SO glad I did. It may not be for everyone, but this book opened my eyes to things in my own life in more ways than one! I am so very glad I read this book and I hope that everyone who is on the verge of getting it, will just go ahead and jump. It's worth it! I promise! Keep that open mind and by the end, you'll be wishing it was your life!

Wow! This book really made me think. There are so many life lessons within this book. It will make you question things you thought were right and normal. One lesson it teaches us is, "Everyone comes into our lives for a reason". Sometimes those people may not be meant to stay in our lives, but their presence has a purpose. We have to stop taking life for granted, and live, laugh, and love. I'm so glad you wrote this book, Jettie Woodruff.

4.5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!

Welcome back Jettie! What a way to make your come back!
This was way different from what I have read from Jettie in the past but no less better. I loved how fitting the title is for this story. "Good Kinda Crazy" is just what this book is about. It was also funny, uplifting, and had a bit quirk to it that kept me swiping pages.
I didn't read Peace, Love, and Resistance so I wasn't familiar with the characters but at no time did I feel like i missed out. If anything, it just made this book whore more curious that I have to go and one-click. Hehe
I look forward to reading more from Jettie. I'll definitely be on the look out for more.
