Thrown out on the streets of New York City, and doubting God’s existence, Anna Wilson accepts a job at the Children’s Aid Society. As an agent for the Society, she travels the west on trains full of orphans in search of families and homes. Because of Anna's personal heartache and loss, she devotes herself to placing the children in only the very best families. After an embarrassing introduction to Texas cattle rancher, Joshua Brown, a widower, Anna makes a surprise visit to his ranch. Their encounter throws them into a series of events which neither one was ready for. Can their mutual attraction overcome the differences and past heartbreaks as they fight to save the children in their care? One man bent on revenge could destroy it all. To live out their destiny they must find strength together. Will they?
A Home for Her Heart is a Christian historical romance novella by author Darlia Sawyer. A Home for Her Heart is book one in the Orphan Texas Train series.
Twelve-year-old Ella was an orphan in 1891 as she entered Longview, Texas. At Ella’s age would anyone want her? Could she find a loving family? Or, would she have to go back to the orphanage?
A Home for Her Heart is a second-chance love story. It is very emotional and a very good read. As the story came to an end I wanted to keep reading.
A Home for Her Heart is the first novella I’ve read by author Darlia Sawyer and I hope to read more.
I highly recommend A Home for Her Heart to fans of Christian historical romance.

I chose this rating because after all was said done it showed that God is in control of all things. Joshua and Anna found love after all the bad things that happened to her and the children. God chose Joshua to love again. He knew that is what both Joshua and Anna needed. They had the whole family and it could grow with the plan they had for more children.
My Review of Darlia Sawyer's book, A Home for Her heart: Grab Miss Darlia's book and a cup of tea to curl up and enjoy this sweet romance set back in a simpler time. Learn a bit of history and feel the love that Anna has for these poor orphaned children. Both characters, Anna and Joshua struggle with their faith because of tragedies in their lives. Read on to see how they overcome and turn to each other.
This is the first book I have read by Darlia Sawyer. It was great. I've not read the rest of this series but will definitely be going back and start with book 1. I love reading about the orphan train, so this with the agent falling in love puts together a very good story.
A Home for Her Heart was a wonderful moving story. Anna has come West to find families for the orphans, she is in charge of. It certainly is a hard job, making sure the children will be loved and cared for. Anna meets Joshua, by chance, at the train depot, not knowing she will meet him again soon. This story will touch your heart.
This book is well written & held my attention. I like how God's love is intertwined throughout the story. It's action packed & suspenseful at times, & yet it has quiet & calm moments too. It's very hard to stop reading. The author did a swell job writing this story. I also appreciated that it was written in a clean way with very good morals.
