Her Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys...

New York editor Emery Wakefield has come to Bliss, Texas, in search of the fabled final novel in the Tender Heart series — a series that left readers the world over hanging when the author died. But finding a happily-ever-after for her beloved characters and editorial success for herself won’t be easy. Especially when the one man who holds the rights to the book is a sexy cowboy who looks exactly like a Tender Heart hero.

And how can a girl possibly resist mixing business with the pleasure of kissing her favorite book boyfriend?

Cole Arrington is no hero. He’s just a cowboy who wants to start his cursed life over somewhere other than Texas. The Tender Heart series his late great-aunt wrote has brought him nothing but trouble, and he has no use for some treasure hunter looking for a book that doesn’t exist.

Unfortunately, he’s always had a problem ignoring a fine looking filly. Especially one with spring-green eyes and a body that’s made for truck-seat cuddlin’. But can one night in the arms of a beautiful dreamer make Cole believe in himself, Texas... and happy endings?

2.5 stars from me.

“I might not be as perfect a hero as Rory. But I promise you I will be. And I promise you that I’ll never stop loving you. Never.” - Cole.

“Oh, Cole! You don’t have to work to be my hero. You’re my hero just as you are. You are everything I’ve ever dreamed of and more . . . so much more. I love you. I’ll always love you.” - Emery.

Aren’t you guys sweet, promising eternal love to each other when you’ve been together for like, what, 5 minutes?

Fast paced romance but unfortunately I was a bit bored. It doesn’t have what I want to make it unforgettable for me.

Oh my goodness. Falling for Tender Heart was an absolute blast!

The Gist: Emery is on the hunt for a long lost manuscript her favorite author wrote before she died. And she's finally gotten a clue! Which has her heading to a run down Texas town and coming face to face with the spitting image of her favorite book boyfriend. Live and in the flesh and related to the author! But... he's grumpy. Growly. And nothing at all like the"Tender Heart" hero from her favorite series. She still has the fierce urge to lick is grouchy self, though. Mmhm.

Emery and Cole were a fun pair. They had some sizzling chemistry right from the start. And got on each others nerves, too. The romance was wonderful, though. Sassy in parts, heated in others. Total toss-a-girl-over-your-shoulder-and-make-away-with-her delicious. Noms! It was fun seeing these two opposites find a little thing with each other.

I enjoyed getting to know this broken down town and it's rich history-- heartbreaking and interesting in turns-- and am hoping we'll see the town come back to life as the series unfolds. And meeting all of the characters. Especially Dirk. That cocky cowboy drifter who totally stole the show. Such a cheeky handful. I totally went off to Goodreads to make sure he'd have a book and squeed at the author on Twitter. And that was by 40 pages in. lol

All in all, Falling for Tender Heart was an excellent time and wonderful kick off to Lane's new series. A bookish treasure hunt, family and good friends, a sizzling romance. It was lovely and full of all those happy book feels that just make a girl sigh.

Editor and avid reader Emery Wakefield received a letter from a woman saying she had found the last book (never printed) in Emery's and her friends' favorite series and asking her if she'll be interested to publish it. As if she could say no to a Tender Heart novel, a ten-books series about mail-order brides in the old West that made Emery's teenage years more bearable ! So she leave New York for a trip in Bliss, Texas, with her two friends, but her first impression of the town is that it doesn't exactly look like in her favorite novels. And it might have been attraction at first sight with the sexy part-time mechanic that she meet at the beginning of her journey but the two of them got off on the wrong foot right away. And then she learn he's related to the late author of the TH series.

Cole Arrington have a lot on his plate with a ranch close to bankruptcy and still feeling guilty for an accident that brought serious consequences for someone he loves, so the last thing he need is tourists looking for similarities with his late great-aunt series. Cole had different dreams but life happened to interfere with it. When people tell you you look like a fictional hero, it's easy to feel pressure and like you don't measure up to the fantasy. Cole felt like a real-life man but he still had the kindness and devotion that I want to see in my romance's heroes and he know how to be romantic. Anyway, even if he look like a fictional character, Emery didn't see Rory when she was with him, she saw Cole.

I read my first Katie Lane's book in 2012 and liked it but for reason I can't explain, it took four years before I read an other one and probably only because my sister purchased the series in 2016 (a previous one from this one, the Deep In The Heart Of Texas series) so that's why I consider she made me discover this author. The story of my life is always hesitating between two or three books when come the time to pick a new one to read so the said sister help me when I ask for it. She already read the entire series so when I asked her: "Do you think I'll like it?", she jokingly said :"If you don't like it then you have no soul." Well I'm glad to tell you I'm not damned ;p Seriously, this story was so good. Great dialogues, cool, sweet and funny characters and there's even little snippets of the Tender Heart series about the mail-order brides. I liked how I recognized myself in the heroine's love of books and her enthusiam for fictionnal characters.

Do you know when books lovers find true love ? When they would prefer spending time with that person instead of reading ;p

A cute, low angst and easy read. My personal taste would probably rate this a 3, but the book is exactly what the blurb promised it would be, so I gave it a 4.

This was a cute, fun, quirky read. I am a big Katie Lane fan however this book deviates from the norm, or at least what I have come to expect as the norm. This was still fun and intense in a new way however it wasn't nearly as sexually charged as the previous books that I have read by her.

Emmery Wakefield is in love with the tender heart series, they gave her an escape when she felt inadequate. Now that she has a chance of bringing the long lost final book in the series to the publishing house that she works at she will do anything she has to in order to get that book published, and save her job. But when her favorite hero of the series comes to life she is flabbergasted, especially when his connection to the series becomes known.

Cole Arrington hates the tender heart series. He hates the fact that the little town he lives in has put so much strain on him. That he doesn't have enough money in order to afford to live his dream. But more than all of that he hates himself because he will never be able to get passed the trauma that happened to his sister. But when he meets Emmery everything becomes more. His actions have meaning once again, he feels emotions more that can to lead to more than continued misery. It sucks that she will only be in Bliss for a few days, although that also means he can hang out with her without worrying about falling for her and turning into his father.

This was a great contemporary romance that was clean fun. There was some sexy times but it was much more laid back then any of the other Lane books that I have read. Although this book was different than I was expecting it was still marvelous and even more than I could have ever hoped for. I loved the parallels between the original tender heart series and this book. And the main and secondary characters will make you laugh out loud at many parts. This is a HEA and I can not wait for the next books in the series.

First in the Tender Heart, Texas, western romance series and revolving around a love of books, especially an historic western romance series. The couple focus is on Emery Wakefield and Cole Arrington.

My Take
This is a sweet story with some nice twists. Of course, I liked the idea of Emery as an editor who gets caught up in the stories she reads. And I also liked that Dirk and Carly are such rebels that they break into the abandoned diner to cook some decent food.

Poor Emery. She doesn’t fit in anywhere, especially not within her family. Now Dirk, he seems to fit in everywhere, and does he ever push it, lol. My biggest niggle about Dirk is that he seems too young to have done all that he claims, and yet he does appear to truly know.

The major conflict is finding that last book in the series that was never published, and Lane makes good use of it for a variety of other conflicts that revolve around it and the core characters. Yep, Lane has introduced a number of characters whom I just know are going to be getting books of their own. Especially after Savannah’s letting out how controlling Miles is. And one of his keys to controlling her.

It’s third person dual point-of-view switching easily between Emery and Cole, as we listen in on their thoughts and troubles. That Cole sure is stubborn! It gets annoying after awhile with the two of them and their insecurities, but I reckon it's more like real life. Lord knows I whine to myself a lot. I just don't wanna read about it.

YES!!! An author who knows when to use “whupped” and not “whooped”!! YES! YES! YES!!

It is a predictable story, and it’ll make a fun beach read. I suspect a lot of my enjoyment came from speculating as to how Kane is going to pull the other characters to Bliss…and when that diner is gonna open *grin*

The Story
It’s a lead! How can Emery ignore the possibility of publishing that lost, last book in the western romance series she adores. The one she practically lives!

Unfortunately, it turns out that the writer of that query doesn’t hold the rights…nor does she hold the real story. With so much riding on the truth, how can Emery save her career, her dream cowboy, and their lives?

The Characters
Emery Wakefield is an editor whose job is in jeopardy. Her family are all geniuses in the medical field. Her father is a psychiatrist, her mother a gynecologist, and her brothers, Jeff and Ryan, are a plastic surgeon and a pharmaceutical scientist, respectively.

The free-wheeling Carly Hanover, a head chef working in San Francisco, and the persnickety Savannah Reynolds, an interior designer with her own business, are her closest friends. Miles is Savannah’s fiancé in Atlanta — and the girls don’t like him. Savannah’s Aunt Fanny was quite precise in her manners.

The town of Bliss, Texas, is…
…where the series was written and set by the author, the Arringtons’ great-aunt Lucy.

Cole Arrington owns the Arrington Ranch, one-third of the original ranch, and is sinking fast. Gracie, a champion barrel racer, is his wheelchair-bound half-sister. Brandy is the skittish mare Gracie used to ride. Their father, Hef, had been a pushover for his runaway wife, Ava.

Zane Arrington is his cousin with another third, the Earhart Ranch, and doing extremely well. He married his high school sweetheart, Rachel. Becky is his wild sister. Indigo is the horse Zane rides. Ghost Rider is the horse Becky is not supposed to ride. Loretta had been their housekeeper/cook forever. Black Bart is one of Zane's bulls.

Raff is another cousin with the final third, the Tender Heart Ranch, but he’s in jail.

Dirk Handley is a drifter who’s done most everything and knows it all. Mrs. Crawley runs the only hotel in town; Winnie is her daughter, who loves the one she’s with. The one-legged Emmett Daily owns an automotive garage/gas station where Cole works. Emmett's wife, Joanna, had been a school teacher. Hank, the first bride’s descendant, is the bartender and owner of the Watering Hole, the only place left in town where you can get a beer and well, you can call it food. Mike and Orville are at the bar. Sissy Miller is quite the snob. Doc Sanchez is the local doctor who is treating Gracie. Pastor Milford. Maybelline Marble bakes some amazing cakes.

Miss Jenkins had been a school librarian back in the day. Granny Fay.

Tender Heart is…
…the western romance series about mail-order brides in which Emery practically lives and the one in which the author died before the last (lost) book could be published. Rory Earhart is the ideal Western hero who hated Etta Jenkins, a mail-order bride. Duke and Johnny are his brothers. Daisy McNeil is the youngest and feistiest bride. Dax Davenport, a hired gunslinger, is the villain. Esther Reeves sticks her nose in everyone’s business.

Raphael is Savannah’s hairdresser in Atlanta.

The Cover and Title
The cover is pastel sweet with a meadow of Queen Ann’s lace and a pink-flowering tree against a blue spring sky in the background. A pink-skirted, jean-jacketed, and cowboy-boot-wearing Emery, her long, wavy, red hair trailing over one shoulder, is sitting on a rail fence as the black-hatted Cole in his jeans and blue denim shirt has his head bent over her shoulder, his right arm around her waist, holding her against him, their left hands clasped. An info blurb is at the very top with the author’s name in a deep blue beneath it. The title combines script with sans-serif in a gradation of pale, pale pink to a deeper pink. The series information is centered at the very bottom in blue.

The title bucks two ways, for Emery fell in love a long time ago with the series, but now she’s Falling for Tender Heart as a town.

first book in a brand new series by Katie Lane. Katie Lane always deliver a book full of heart, good story and quirky characters, but never more so in this first book in the Tender Heart Texas series. What length would you go to if one of your favorite authors of your very favorite series died before writing the last book in the series? What if you got a letter telling you that there was a last book and this book had the ability to put you at the top in your career? This is what happens in Falling for Tender Heart. This book has it all. Romance, a town that is barely a dust spot on the map, if it was even on the map and more quirky characters that are full of heart and good humor that have you rooting for them from the moment they step on the page. I can not wait for the next book in this series.

An awesome book by Katie Lane. Every dedicated reader who starts reading a series of books imagines themselves as part of the series. When something happens that the series isn't going to be finished everyone hopes that something will happen to answer the unanswered questions they have.

Emery is one of those avid readers who wished she could have closure for the series. She has written a thesis page in college on the series and now she has decided to go to the town of Bliss and see if she can get the closure she needs.

Instead she meets Cole who looks just like one of the characters in the book. Will she get her answers to the series or will she start her own romance with Cole. Read the story and I know you won't be disappointed.

Can a novel based on fairytales, lead to a love forever true? Falling for Tender Heart is modern love meets storybook romance. Katie Lane allows her characters to write their own love story. One woman's fascination with love, lays the groundwork for happily ever after in the case of two lonely hearts. Cole and Emery are a reminder of the talent that is Katie Lane. With the stroke of a pen, she gives sweetness a face and can make a heart race.

Falling for Tender Heart (Tender Heart Texas, #1) - PG13/R
Violence: none
Language: fewer than 90, including deity
Sex: roaming hands without a lot of detail, easily skipped.

But these two are *really* sexually charged so they're back at it before long. There's the last part of chapter 19 and the first part of chapter 20 for you skippers. I only made it about five pages in before I figured out that this book is like the "naughty romance novel" genre that our heroine is so fond of. It might be a good story, but when the pants are already bulging before the end of chapter one, there's probably something going on. PASS

MAJOR Plot spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk.

4.5 stars

What I adored about this story was how the story this story revolved around a romance book series then paralleled those stories to the romance of Emery and Cole. There even little snippet from the Tender Heart novels at the beginning of the chapter about Rory and Etta that reflected in the chapter of what Emery and Cole were going through at that point. It was very interesting to the similarities and the differences between each of the romances. I thought it was very cleverly done. It added a lot to the story. I really appreciated it.

Another thing that really drew me into the story was the character of Emery because I related to her so much. She was bookworm that loved romance novels just like I do. She was seriously fangirling over the Tender Heart series, which was the reason that she came to Bliss, Texas where the said Tender Heart novels took inspiration from. I could relate to that. A lot things that she thought while thinking life, romance, etc is what I think sometimes especially while reading a romance. Knowing where her headspace was from the very beginning, it made totally understandable of why these Tender Heart stories meant so much to her and was a big part of her life. I have experienced that feeling myself so it was easy to put myself in her shoes.

I also really liked that there was a little bit of mystery with this one as Emery was determined to find the last Tender Heart novel in this series. There was an element of suspense of who had the novel, how they came upon this novel, and whether or not the novel was real. It kept me on my toes even though I pretty much figured out what was going on, but I was dying for Emery to either figure out what was going on or actually find out about because she really wanted this answer for her beloved series. That kept the intrigue in the story.

The first meeting between Cole and Emery was just full of all kinds of sparks and sexual tension that I knew that they were going to have pretty intense relationship. I loved the banter between the two. I loved it was a love-hate type situation at first where the sparks really flew. As they were butting heads, the simmer of attraction was bubbling beneath the surface. They got a lot spicer than I thought they would. They had some great heated moments with sexy makeout sessions and even hotter love scene in his truck that was just fire. Those moments just showed off how much chemistry they had between them. But there was another side to their relationship that was more sweet and romantic that really made my heart soar. The one scene at the chapel was such a meaningful scene for so many different reasons. I loved that scene so much. Then there was the huge romantic gesture at the end of the story that just was absolutely amazing and reflected a romance novel to a tee of what a grand romantic gesture truly was. It was so good. I really appreciated it being in there.

I did think the romance was a little fast at times. It was a little ista love, which I am not big fan of. I would have preferred if they said they were falling in love than just actually being in love. I just prefer a little more emotional development in my romances. I didn’t care for that they were willing to sleep with each other, believing it was only going to be temporary. Then felt like it was more about just the physical, instead of the emotional. I would prefer it to be the opposite way unless there’s more development as the story goes along. The emotional was lacking a tad in this one, which is why I couldn’t give this a five stars.

I loved the side characters. Dirk was a freaking hoot yet he had a level of depth between them that was hidden behind the playboy drifter that he was trying to play off. But just from his interactions with Gracie it was clear that there was more there. I loved the connection that Dirk and Gracie had, teasing their romance in the future, and I really wanted want to read their romance now. I loved Carly and Savannah with their different personalities yet showing a strong friendship they had with each other and Emery. I loved seeing the relationship between cousins Zane and Cole, showing that family bond that they had. Just all of them added so much to the story that I really appreciated. It made me really interested in other books in this series.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the whole parallels with the Tender Heart series romance between Rory and Etta and the current romance of Cole and Emery. Even though their stories took placed during a different time and age, there were very many similarities of what Rory and Etta to Cole and Emery went through. It made for a very interesting and intriguing read. I enjoyed reading the fictionalized history of the town of Bliss and just the difference between the fiction and reality. There were some great moments between Cole and Emery that I really enjoyed. Some were really sweet. Some were very steamy and sexy. There were great romantic gestures that were made that were so meaningful that it showed off the beauty of their romantic journey. I did think it was quick for them to be using the love word already. I did wish that there were more emotional development, but I still enjoyed their romance nonetheless. This was just really great and entertaining read that I really appreciated in a lot of different ways. It hit just the right spot within me. So, this was a win in my book.

Love Conquers All!

First of all, I absolutely love stories like this - a Texas cowboy, a ranch in full operation or not, family who rely on one another and then you add a series of books that were written by a great-aunt with a missing piece to the puzzle.

Cole Arrington's great-aunt Lucy wrote the Tender Heart Series all except the last book never got finished before she died, or so everyone thought. Lucy had willed all the royalties from the books to the Texas library system. Lucy could have willed her family something. Even a small portion of the millions the series had made would have helped Cole with all the medical and physical therapy bills that filled his desk. But he hadn't seen a dime of it.

Emily Wakefield is a professional editor; an editor who is going to lose her job if she couldn't pull a rabbit out of a hat. She wasn't an English teacher who came to town looking for a clue to the final Tender Heart book. As it turns out, Emily wasn't some fortune hunter looking to exploit Gracie. Cole knew that she was an experienced editor with a reputable publishing house who had a degree in literature and had written a hundred-page thesis on Tender Heart. If anyone could authenticate the book Gracie had found, it would be Emily.

If Cole was smart, he would start viewing her as the person who might just change things for him and Gracie. If the manuscript turned out to be real, all his dreams were about to come true. Cole could turn his ranch around - into a prosperous horse-breeding ranch.

It had been Gracie who asked Emery to keep the secret. Cole wasn't surprised. What else was Gracie keeping from him?

Tender Heart was about strong people who refused to give up. It wasn't a story about characters. Cole great-aunt Lucy had told stories of his ancestors - his history; their strength and determination was in his blood and it was about time he started doing something about it.

Just before Emery and Cole were to be wed, she disappeared behind the small church where there was a cemetery of his ancestors. Could it be this was the place where the rest of the tenth book could be buried? They were going to find out just as soon as they said "I DO!"

Technically, Emery was a mail-order-bride. Gracie had sent a letter and here she was. It only took a month before they were walking down the aisle which is how long it took for a mail-order bride to marry back in those days. Funny how history repeats itself.

Read the next book in this series: Falling Head Over Boots (Tender Heart Texas Book 2) the story of Carly Hanover and Zane Arrington. She stumbles upon a rundown diner in Bliss, Texas, that could make all her wishes come true. The only one standing in her way is the owner—a headstrong rancher who is convinced Carly needs rescuing. Happy reading!

Lots going on in a small town

Emery Wakefield is a book editor in New York. She's made her way to Bliss, Texas in the hope she's located the final lost book for the beloved Tender Heart book series of mail order brides. Gracie Arrington, descendant of Lucy Arrington, author of the series, claims to have found the last book. If true, this find could save Emery's career. Plus she's a fanatic Tender Heart fan. But when she arrives in Bliss it seems a decrepit shadow of what she expected. Plus, her two girlfriends, Carly & Savannah, coming to join her for "spring break" are sure to be disappointed. But when in a small town you must make your own fun, and with the help of young cowboy of all trades Dirk Hadley, they do just that. Cole & Zane Arrington, also descendants of Lucy, are drawn into this story. One reason is Gracie is Cole's younger sister, and he knows nothing about the finding of the lost book. Second, Cole can't seem to stop himself from being drawn to Emery, crazy city lady or not. Together Cole, and his cousin Zane, are the epitome of two of the Tender Heart characters that make women swoon. Except they are present day men, with current world issues and they really don't want to be dragged into this quest for a fictional world. Mystery, suspense, deception and guilt all combine to make a captivating story and foretell of more exciting stories to come to Bliss and the long shadow of Tender Heart.

FALLING FOR TENDER HEART is Katie Lane’s first book of the Tender heart Texas series, and it is a light, airy romance in a tiny town called Bliss. New York editor Emery Wakefield has come to Bliss, Texas in search of a fabled final novel in the Tender heart series but she finds a tall, sexy-looking cowboy who looks exactly like the Tender Heart hero instead. Cole Arrington is no hero but a cowboy who wants to start his cursed life over somewhere other than Texas. Last thing he needs is a treasure-hunter on a hunt for a book that does not exist. Unfortunately, he could never ignore a fine-looking filly with spring-green eyes and a body made for truck-seat cuddlin’.
FALLING FOR TENDER HEART has bit of heat, a bit of sass, and a wholesome small-town feel. Katie Lane makes her characters down-to-earth and lifelike that leave you feeling you have known them all your life. The dialogue is witty especially between Emery’s two best friends, and there is plenty of humor to pass around. I receive this complimented copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Falling for Tender Heart

I enjoyed this first book of the Tender Heart series. Most times Cole annoyed me with ignoring his sister's feelings on selling the ranch. He TOLD her he was selling and they were moving to Kentucky. She's an adult he can't force her to go anywhere.

I really loved Dirk, now here was the hero of the book. Emery's friends Savannah and Carly had me laughing every time they opened their mouth.

I was disappointed with how ur ended with the last book in the series. Does it continue into the rest of the series where the rest of the book is found? Do I want to buy more books to find out ? I'd be upset if I get to the end of the series and it's left unfinished. I'm not going to continue reading more of the series at this time for that reason. I'm giving it some thought before I put out more money. In general I did enjoy the book.

I just love mail order bride stories

Emery grew up feeling like she didn't belong and kept her nose in books she read the Tender Hearts series and fell in love with the lead character Rory Earheart . She goes into the publishing business and receives letter stating the final book in the series has been found since the authority or passed away before it could be published. She traves to Bliss Texas and finds her very own Rory but not the rest of book. She falls hard and fast for Cole and becomes a mail order bride herself. Can't wait to read more.

Sweet romantic

Loved this story of Emery and Cole. Emery is a editor from New York who loves the Tender Heart Romance series. The author died before the last book was published. When she gets a letter and the first chapter in the mail, she is convinced the book is in Bloss, Texas where the author lived. She travels there with her two friends, and meets Cole. Sparks fly instantly. When Cole finds out why she is really there, do they get their HEA? Recommend this book. Cant wait for the next.

Love this start to this series

This book is a wonderful western story. Emery is an editor who goes to the town that her favorite series is from to find the last book. She discovers lots of other things in this town. Cole is one of the men in town who is actually one of the characters in this town. The ups and downs in this book are very emotional. Love her friends and the townspeople. They all want to know about the final book. Can't wait to read the next book.

Emery & Cole

Emery is a book editor and is in Bliss, Texas to check out a long lost book from her favorite book series written here. While here she meets Cole and his sister Gracie, relatives of the author in fact they live on the ranch where she wrote the books. Emery falls for Cole, who is the image of one of the characters in the books.

This is a really good book. The characters are in search of a place where their favorite series was written. They not only find out things but then romance steps in and take the story into a new turn. This was such a fun book to read as it is something I would of done years ago. This is a "home run" for Katie.

Kept me interested

I wasn't hooked at first, but as an avid reader, it was a rebound book after reading a three book series. I did get hooked and can't wait to read the next. Women's friendships, open mind, love.... Katie Lane does well. The Dixie Chics would be proud of this cowboy romance!

Great Story

Yes, the story might be similar to those you've read by other authors. But, Katie does bring her characters to life! You can't help digging in to see just what Emery will do. And then you're hooked. Cole is everything you hope for. Romance novels are meant to be fun, taking you away into your imagination. This doesn't disappoint.

I have a thing for small villages with quirky characters, and Lane works hard at creating this world. I like the book within a book, relatable protagonist, and writing focus. Sure part of the ending feels like a flight of fancy, but romance novels are my adult version of fairy tails. So if you like your Hero Charming as a Texas cowboy, this one is for you.

A satisfying book to get cozy with.

Witty writing, fun characters, lighthearted plot.
The perfect mix of romance, small town, cowboy, and don't forget the undeniable spark of passion. I loved the storytellling, the flow and fleshed out characters ever growing throughout this book. Impossible to put down!

I completely enjoyed this story! These two don’t start off on the right foot, but that is because a lot of assumptions made on each of their parts. While they dance around each other, fate keeps putting them together, and attraction keeps them coming back for more. They get there eventually, and it was all the sweetness they could have imagined <3

Beautiful

I loved this story. MOB in modern day because of a woman who wrote about them. Emery came because of a chance to edit the book that had been missing. But instead she found love and happiness with a descendent of hers. Cole wants the sell the ranch but his won't let him.

Cute but obvious

I don't think most girls would fall for the heroes in most romance novels. Because it's fiction he's allowed to be too bullheaded to listen and a grand gesture is acceptable when a simple talk would be better for a long term relationship.
