Love is a Russian-English bilingual book. The author represents both languages equally, the text is written in both English and Russian. It is a realistic fiction book that explores the different ways a girl shows and feels love throughout her day; from singing in class to playing with her friends. The book is appropriate for early-primary learners. The words and concepts presented are simple, making it easy for most young readers to understand. The illustrations are very animated yet still show small details and represent an array of diverse children. Unfortunately, I don’t know the quality of the translation, due to the lack of back matter

This a great series to read in storytime with diverse patrons since they will see their language below the English words. This series also includes diversity which is a great visual for storytimes.

These are relaxing to read because I don’t have to translate for the kids.
