Come meet my amazing extended family of men, the Protectors and the Barrettis!

Since all of my series cross over with one another, I've gotten many requests to bundle my bestselling books by reading order. Thus, A Family Chosen was born! These bundles tell the stories of men and women from my Protectors, Barretti, Escort and Finding series. Although each story was written so it could be read as a standalone, much more enjoyment can be gained by reading the books in order. You'll meet secondary characters who ultimately get their own books and you will understand the history behind each family of men when their series start to cross over with one another. Although there are 3 M/F books within the bundles, you can skip them if you want. The remaining books are all M/M or M/M/M.

The first volume introduces you to some of the guys from my Protectors series. In subsequent volumes, you will meet my guys from the other series.

Volume 1
Absolution (m/m/m) (The Protectors, #1)
Salvation (m/m) (The Protectors, #2)

Well worth the read

I enjoyed most all of the books in this collection. I do have to say that I pretty much hated Gabe and Riley's book (Escorts #1). I found it to be boring when it should have been exciting and the sheer number of coincidence needed to get things done stretched beyond my ability to suspend my disbelief.

Other than that book, however, I found Shane and Savannah's story to be very powerfully told. Dom and Logan were delightful, and I realized that I had read the two Finding books years ago and remembered liking them a lot, but I had forgotten who the author was, so they had gotten lost in my kindle library. I was glad to be able to revisit these characters and now also be able to tie them into the larger cast of characters.

Gabriel’s Rule: 3/5 (plain characters, not really developed; a rather boring story with little to no plottwists or suspense; good writing)

Shane’s Fall: 3,5/5 (good character development, an interesting plottwist, but until then the story was a bit boring, very little happened)

Logan’s Need: 3,5/5 (good character development, but here again a rather plain and not memorable story)

Finding Home/Trust: 3,5/5 (again a little bit too little happened here, but good writing and entertaining dialogs)

Overall: ~3,3/5

This was my first time reading this author, and I chose to start with the chronological book order for the Protectors and Barrettis. I love when series interweave so you can see a bigger picture of that world, and this box set did a fabulous job of that.

I found myself unable to put the books down. I was so invested with each and every book and story. Intrigue, suspense, drama, heartache, soul drenching love, and so much heat you broke a sweat are just some of the descriptions for these wonderful stories. I am looking forward to the next box set and continuing in this sexy world. Definitely a bonus reading as a box set so you can skip right to the next book flawlessly.

Just gets better and better

I chose to read this series in the time frame sequence and I’ve LOVED meeting all the characters and intertwining storylines. It’s hard to give a rating on a grouping of books like this because you are introduced to so many different stories, themes and characters. All I can say is that I have loved every story I’ve read in this series and can’t wait for the next chapter. I’m greedy and impatient so I hate waiting on the release of the newest book. What I love about this series is that you have the ability to complete the series.

In Love With These Men

I love all of these men so much! Such fun books to read. The stories suck me in and I can’t put them down.
However, Ms Sloan, please have others editors help you out with your grammar and spelling. I’m on the 9th book going by your recommended reading order. And MOST of the time “then” is used when you mean “than”, there are some misused pronouns, and some other errors that an editor can help you fix. Especially those that were published several years ago, those errors should have been fixed by now.
You keep writing and I’ll keep reading!

Ahhh....

I started the Protector Series before I researched the author, so I obviously don't be reading things in order...or will I? I've enjoyed reading about how the couple's are interconnected and related. Just one good read after another.

A Family Chosen Volume 2

I’ve read most, if not all these books but never in the right order. I was happy about this collection except it’s not done in chronological order. So you start with volume 2 and then move, I think, to volume 1.

I really liked these books. Each one had a rough history to move past before they could let themselves love and be loved.

Caveat: In both collections, I didn't read the m/f stories because I'm really over the alphole "hero" who knows better than the heroine what is good for her and orders her life accordingly.

Mixed bag

A Family Chosen Volume 2 is a bit of a mixed bag. The first 2 - Gabriel's Rule and Shane's Fall were ok but the final 3 were a while different story! Logan's Need, Finding Home and Finding Trust were absolutely amazing and I'm loving how these stories are slowly intertwining!!
