“Quack Quack” written by is about a baby duck who hatches while his mother is trying to protect him because a fox wants to eat him. After he hatches, he asks a variety of animals if their his mother. They alls say no but are helpful in trying to find his mother. As he walks back to wear he hatches alone a fox tries to attack him and his mother comes to the rescue! This story is exciting and early elementary school students would enjoy it.

In the beginning of the book it states that the illustrations are l’école des loisirs. I’m not sure if this is a medium or a drawing company. It looks as though the illustrations are ink and colored pencil. Very calm, neutral colors which is an interesting choice considering the hectic nature of this book.

My three year old niece really likes this book. The story is OK, and the pictures are pretty.
