Attractive yet with an air of sadness, Casey snares feline shapeshifter Felix Mitchell’s attention at first sight. As feelings deepen, he comes to realize Casey just may be his perfect mate. But despite their shared passion, something is amiss with his intriguing lover, something that keeps her from giving herself fully…something she won’t share.
Unexpected troubles plague the resort, drawing the couple ever closer. But the biggest danger comes when soldier Casey finally shares her secret, revealing a familial enemy—and his shocking plans for Casey’s military future.

USA Today Bestselling author, Shelley lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and a rambunctious puppy.

Typical New Zealanders, Shelley and her husband left home for their big OE soon after they married (translation of New Zealand speak - big overseas experience). A year long adventure lengthened to six years of roaming the world. Enduring memories include being almost sat on by a mountain gorilla in Rwanda, lazing on white sandy beaches in India, whale watching in Alaska, searching for leprechauns in Ireland, and dealing with ghosts in an English pub.

While travel is still a big attraction, these days Shelley is most likely found in front of her computer following another love - that of writing stories of romance and adventure. Other interests include watching rugby and rugby league (strictly for research purposes), being walked by the dog, and curling up with a good book.

CAPTIVATING - SUSPENSE & STEAMY ROMANCE!

FAVORED BY FELIX SIZZLES WITH PASSION; an intriguing story that hooked me from the start. Inside; there is a mystery to be solved, a horrific secret is revealed, suspense, action, family love, humor, a fabulous cast of engaging characters, and sensuous fiery romance.

Casey is ex military, beautiful, smart and talented. She and her best friend Eva are on a vacation that fulfills fantasies. Casey meets Felix a gorgeous cat shifter who is protective, a bit possessive and totally devoted to her. Casey's secret haunts her day and night; dreading the time she has to leave the resort. To get to their happy ending Casey has to face the one that haunts her.

Fabulous entertaining well-written read. Loved Casey and Felix together; enjoyed their witty banter and their chemistry shines. I found myself wanting to make a quick reservation for this resort too. If you enjoy shifter stories this is a great addition to a library. Without hesitation, I recommend this read.

This was a pleasant surprise for a book. First off, the type of place this is set in is exceptionally visionary. I absolutely loved the idea of the capture packages that the hotel offered. Now for the story itself, i found it captivating as I finished it in 3 days, not wanting to put it down when real life reared its ugly head. Felix and Casey's story was such an adventure from start to finish. I like that when necessary she was hard but that Felix was able to let her be vulnerable.

The story of her family was very well created, it was made in such a way her family was there, but then they weren't really. Oh and the Generals idea, so appalling. I loved it. Well done, I cannot wait to read the next book.

Casey and Eva are best friends and vacationing together. Casey hasn't told her friend it will be their last anything together. The General, Casey's father, runs her life with an iron fist and will not take no for an answer. Thankfully, Casey is questioning his continuing influence, especially in light of his recent demand. His duplicity is worse than anyone knows. Felix loves Casey for who she is and only wants her by his side. If only he can convince her of her own worth. A wonderful read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Awesome book about cat shifters

I like this book Because of its characters in scenario of another planet. It encompasses many interesting and descriptive species including human.

The characters are funny, protective, and relatable. I also think the plot with the military twist is unique because the human does not want to go back to her father because she wants to change her.

Highly recommended two readers who love a series that is fascinating, unique, with a bit of alien flare. I have many books by this author and I'm going on a binge reading her books.

Felix and Casey story.

This was my first time reading anything by Shelly Munro so also my first one of the series. It is an interesting storyline and the characters and plot are well done. However I found the editing to be a bit to much to give it a higher score. As well as a I would like to know a little more about the creative cursing. So a glossary and maybe a bit of a map would be nice at the end?
Some details were spot on to give the reader an idea of details and yet I felt some were a little lacking. Overall I think may read more but I'm hoping for better editing.

Shelley!!!! This series is awesome.

If you like Shifters, Romance, Intrigue, Adventure, Spice and HEAPS MORE, then this series is for you.
But, don't take my word for it....go buy your own.

This is storytelling at its best.

If you haven't read the original Middlemarch series books then, grab those as well.

This book, and the first one, grabbed my interest immediately and didn't let go until...Oh No...the end.

I just can't wait to dive into the next book in this series..."Lost with Leo".

A theme in this series seems to be standing up to those who abuse their power. I like the sentiment but it sometimes didn't flow well. That said, being true to yourself is always a win with me so 3 stars.

A great story which is a part of a greater tale.

What a great story with strong leads. I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to digging into more books by Shelley Munro, especially this collection centering around one family.

Great read, fun and entertaining

Good book with lots of action and varying stories within the main stories that kept evetything moving along good. Could use a little more editing, though.

I really enjoyed this book, great story and charters but it would have been better without the sex. I skiped over those parts. This was supposed to be a fantasy book not porn.

I absolutely loved this book! In my opinion, it was better than the first one, which usually doesn't happen. Normally, the second book is just a tad bit less exciting than the first, since you already know the concept of the series. One of the reasons why is having the book take place at the same time as the first. It's fun knowing what's going on with Saber and Eva every time he checks in besides the regular references about characters or events that happened in the previous book. So you definitely have to read Snared by Saber first! The other reason is the plot in this one. Yes it's another capture (and Casey's reaction to being captured is extremely funny) but it's what going on in Casey's life that makes the plot unique. No, won't tell you, it would ruin the book for you. I love the way Ms. Munro slowly reveals what's troubling Casey. You feel just as frustrated as Felix when your trying to figure it out! And when you do find out, boy is it a whopper! She also introduces some funny, new aliens in this one and, of course, the sex is smokin HOT! You definitely want to put this book on your TBR list, it's a definitely, absolutely MUST READ!

I absolutely loved this book! This book takes place at the same time as the first and it is great knowing what is going on with Casey's friend Eva when Saber checks in with Felix. So you would definitely want to read the previous book first. The plot in this one is definitely more intriguing than the plot in the first book; Yes it's another capture, but it's what is going on in Casey's life that makes the plot unique. I love the way Casey's troubles are slowly revealed. You feel as frustrated as Felix when you are trying to figure it out; and when you do, you are just as angry! There are fun new characters introduced that are a bit on the eccentric side, but are fun to read about and wonder if they will make another appearance in future books. This, in my opinion, is an absolute must read. You cannot go wrong with choosing this book, but you might want to read Snared by Saber first.

Casey comes to Middlemarch for her capture fantasy. She has a few days there before she has to return to duty as a soldier. She has a terrible decision to make. Her father, the general, has plans for Casey at the medical facility. Terrible plans. She meets Felix at the resort. She was actually meant for his brother, but Felix gets her instead. Feelings bloom between these two but how on earth are they going to defeat the general. Great story.

Not Bad

The story started out a little slow, but it picked up real fast. Great story line with Casey in real trouble, her father was going to 100 percent change her, but Felix and love stopped him. Good action. Wished she expanded some parts, especially Eva, the new tribe, Felix's history.

Great read

This was a great read. I'm finally seeing past the names being the same as the original series. This installment included a lot of drama. Between Casey's father and Laurence, you never know what would happen next. The addition of a species indigenous to the planet also added to the intrigue. I enjoyed the secondary stories of this book, more than the main romance between Casey and Felix. With all the hints in this book about Leo, I can't wait to read his book.

This is the 2nd book in this series & I don't know whether having read the first Middlemarch Capture book had anything to do with it but I just enjoyed this book more. I had less trouble separating these Mitchell's to the original Mitchell family from the Middlemarch books, and maybe my mind was more into the sci-fi aspect. Loved the character of Casey & the interaction between her & extended members of the Mitchell family and enjoyed the teasers of stories to come. Without giving anything away, I did feel that the relationship aspect of the story between Felix and Casey was a bit glossed over when working through her family problems, but by then I was enjoying it so much it didn't really bother me.
