"A warm but understated depiction of a close-knit African-American family and community." The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books
Sequel to Baby Grand, The Moon in July, and Me. Thirteen-year-old Annie wonders about her dream of becoming an astronaut as she faces various challenges and self doubts, including changes in her relationship with her best friend, fights with her parents, and problems at school.
I thought it was a pretty good book. It was kind of confusing at times, and there were some messed up parts, like repeated sentance and names being used for what should be two people. I did really like the story line though, it seemed well planned and organized.
