This is the third book in the series, and ties in with book one.
The story starts out with an attack on the heroine from book one. The father of her baby is still trying to get back the child he had only because his wife couldn't carry. However, the courts have ruled the same heroine and hero from book 1, the child's father. The father of the baby doesn't care and believes the baby should be with him and his wife. Because of this, they attack when they aren't expecting and put the heroine in a coma and take the baby back to Colombia. The hero from book 1, is beside himself and his friends swear to get the child back while he's with his now wife.
In this book, our hero is a friend and works with that hero. He goes off to rescue the baby, believing he only has to break into a house and take the child while in his crib. What he finds is when he gets the baby is that its a doll! He can't go back and tell them there's been a mistake. He ends up getting hurt and they take him hostage.
What he doesn't count on is the young studying to be a nun who's been instructed to take care of him. Our hero reads all the people, which aren't many, to come in and see him. However, when he sees the young nun, he knows she'll help him. The young nun, on the other hand, has been at the convent for a very long time and really has no other place to go since her parents died when she was younger. However, the older nuns won't allow her to become a nun just because she's been there so many years and deny her request.
When she meets our hero, she feels things she's never felt before. She knows from her wanderings where the baby is and that something isn't right with the stories that have been told. She decides to help our hero and before long she's in charge of a child which she doesn't know how to care for and a man she's not sure on how to interact with.
On top of all this, they have the baby's father's wife (the father's since died), who feels the baby is hers, to deal with. This wife plays to keep and she wants the child more than anything. Will justice ring true or will evil win? Will the mother of the child survive or will the hero from book 1 loose both a wife and child at the same time?
This was pretty good with the action and at times had you have a small laughs here and there. I couldn't believe how innocent the young nun want to be was, but after meeting some people in real life, I'm starting to believe those types can be out there.
