This is the third book in the series, and ties in with book one.

The story starts out with an attack on the heroine from book one. The father of her baby is still trying to get back the child he had only because his wife couldn't carry. However, the courts have ruled the same heroine and hero from book 1, the child's father. The father of the baby doesn't care and believes the baby should be with him and his wife. Because of this, they attack when they aren't expecting and put the heroine in a coma and take the baby back to Colombia. The hero from book 1, is beside himself and his friends swear to get the child back while he's with his now wife.

In this book, our hero is a friend and works with that hero. He goes off to rescue the baby, believing he only has to break into a house and take the child while in his crib. What he finds is when he gets the baby is that its a doll! He can't go back and tell them there's been a mistake. He ends up getting hurt and they take him hostage.

What he doesn't count on is the young studying to be a nun who's been instructed to take care of him. Our hero reads all the people, which aren't many, to come in and see him. However, when he sees the young nun, he knows she'll help him. The young nun, on the other hand, has been at the convent for a very long time and really has no other place to go since her parents died when she was younger. However, the older nuns won't allow her to become a nun just because she's been there so many years and deny her request.

When she meets our hero, she feels things she's never felt before. She knows from her wanderings where the baby is and that something isn't right with the stories that have been told. She decides to help our hero and before long she's in charge of a child which she doesn't know how to care for and a man she's not sure on how to interact with.

On top of all this, they have the baby's father's wife (the father's since died), who feels the baby is hers, to deal with. This wife plays to keep and she wants the child more than anything. Will justice ring true or will evil win? Will the mother of the child survive or will the hero from book 1 loose both a wife and child at the same time?

This was pretty good with the action and at times had you have a small laughs here and there. I couldn't believe how innocent the young nun want to be was, but after meeting some people in real life, I'm starting to believe those types can be out there.

I loved this book! It is action packed, suspenseful and fast paced. Everett Black is in Columbia trying to rescue kidnapped Baby Joe. When he is injured and captured by the evil dead sperm donor’s equally evil kidnapping wife she decides to hold him as a pawn. Sweet and innocent Sister Mary Margaret is an American and has been at the convent since her missionary parents were killed by drug runners when she was 12. Her nice rosy world is destroyed when she is again denied the privilege to take her final vows and learns the truth of the beneficiary of the convent and hospital aka the evil dead sperm donor’s equally evil kidnapping wife. She is thrust into a new world full of thugs with guns hunting them and her new feelings about her life and Everett.

A nun, a cartel and a SEAL

Picking up immediately from book two, the hunt for baby is on. Instead of finding the baby though, the story shows one of the trident group being captured and meeting a nun to be.

This story is multifaceted and has many colorful characters. It quickly takes us across several countries and looks at different team and relationship dynamics. The writing and story is fast paced and entertaining. There are some jumps to the story and moments that are predictable, but still a fast and fun read.

Mary Margaret and Everett

When the baby of the MCs from book 2 is taken, Everett is sent in to retrieve him. Things don't go as planned and after getting off to a rocky start, he enlists her to help him. Traipsing through Colombia trying to get baby Joe back to his parents, they develop feelings for each other. Given how inexperienced she is their relationship is a far-fetched. There's action and sexy times, plus we catch up with some of the other recurring charachters.

Book 3

Just keeps getting better. Villains wife dead. Baby Joe should be safe and sound. Nun turned pregnant wife. Never saw that one coming. Can not wait for Harding’s story. Keep writing and I will keep reading. Thank you.

Ok

I felt this book was a bit too short. The relationship really didn’t get up enough steam to believe they got that close. Too bad to, it would have been fabulous to read.

Falling for a nun 🤔

There’s some really good interaction with support characters, glimpses of old favorites. Considering a nun, baby, and American are on the run from a she devil drug lord, this is pretty tongue-in-cheek meets Hallmark in strange places

Shunned by Laura Marie Altom
SEAL Team: Disavowed Series Book Three
Everett Black was on one of his most important missions ever—to rescue his friend's baby. The baby had been kidnapped and brought to Columbia. The mission went wrong and just when Everett was in quite a pinch—he was saved by an angel.

Mary Margaret O'Hanlon wanted to become a nun. She had been with the sisters since she was orphaned at twelve. Yet, once again they denied her for her final vows. When her whole world is shattered by finding out things were not as they seemed...Mary knew she had to help the stranger to make things right.

Take a SEAL...a man of the world, and put him with a courageous but innocent woman. Add a baby and running from a woman who has hands and eyes everywhere and you get a fast moving, page-turning story. I really enjoy this series.

Awesome book

Great read, keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. Like that the next book in the series ties in to all of them.
