This is my foray into Red Phoenix's world, and while I enjoyed it, I do believe that I came late to the party, as it took me a bit to figure out what was going on. I'll give a quick summary, Rytsar Durov is a sadist who is quite upset. He's a powerful Russian Dom, who is planning to destroy all who threatens him, or those he cares about. That's it, as you will just have to read it for yourselves. Although I stayed confused for a while, it didn't stop my dramatic girly girl emotions from making an appearance. For one, I found myself frustrated, and wanted to junk punch peeps throughout. Of course the heat level is off the charts full of fiery flame goodness that will leave piles of ashes in the place of panties. Twists and turns were everywhere, and all intense enough to find me dropping loud f-bombs while reading. Red Phoenix has a talented writing style that comes off very original, and I'm positive that if I go back and read all the earlier books, then read this story again, my feelings will probably be stronger. So with that being said, I cannot wait to start on that, as I'm highly intrigued, I'll just HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The sexy sadist Rytsar finally gets his own story. I pretty much swooned through the whole thing!!! Rytsar's story does not disappoint, finally some of the deepest things from his past are revealed. His protection of Brie, his love for his brother, Thane. His ability to deliver so much pain and so much pleasure are the best parts of him. No one else was capable of taking Lilly down, but nothing would stop him from getting results. He is a true warrior in all ways, yet his own demons are knocking at his door.
I truly cannot get enough of this series. I love the tone of each story and it gives me all the feels. Ready and waiting for what happens next.

Drama in every Chapter

The first book that I read by Red Phoenix was Brie's Submission, the first novel in the series when she released her first box set. The next, the second box set. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I haven't had a chance to read books 7-12 of the series before grabbing Her Russian Knight, and yet at the same time, I'm almost glad that I hadn't because I had fallen in awe of Rytsar, the Russian sadist Dom that was Brie's first auction winner. I was always curious to find out who he really was, how he thought, what shaped him and most of all, if he'd ever find someone worthy of his love and devotion after what Samantha had done to him during his college years and then later when they met again. This novel answered those questions and then created more.

I cried. Unashamedly cried my heart out - for Brie, for Thane and especially for Rytsar. For everything they went through and everything I know that they'll got through because this just can't be the last time that we see either of these three, their bond simply too deep and strong to ignore or not want to know more about. The last thing I ever expected was to feel this way, entirely too unbalanced and suffering from one of the biggest book hangovers I've felt in quite some time, but this is one story that I'm more than happy to know was written and explains so much about these characters than guessing could have done.

I wasn’t ready for Her Russian Knight to end. Of course, it ended on a critical part so I know there will be more. I have to know what will happen to Rystar.
It looks like the next book will be out this summer 2017 so not to long of a wait.

OHMYGOODNESS! You can't do this to us Reeeed!!! Ok! I must say my emotions are all over the place!
I've cried, laughed, gotten angry, etc! But I'm so excited to see whats going to happen next!
What a ride with the Russian you gave us! lol...he's such a strong character that you can't help but to love him and how he cares for Brie and Sir!
I loved learning so much more about Rytsar's early days and how he became so much more! He's truly has become a favorite of mine!
I've cried, laughed, gotten angry, etc! But I'm so excited to see whats going to happen next!

This review is for the audiobook. Let's just put at the top of this review that this series is seriously sexy! Well written, complex characters, weaving plots, and some of the hottest sex scenes I have ever had the pleasure of reading/listening to. That goes without saying! One of the best things about this series has been learning about the BDSM lifestyle. It is fascinating and beautiful, and I'm very thankful to have gained this knowledge while listening to such a fantastic audiobook series!! I never thought I could understand finding beauty in being marked by a whip/cane/etc, but I absolutely get it now after listening to this series, and most specifically this book. There are Masters like Marquis Gray with that more delicate touch, and then there is a sadist like Rytsar. As much as I have LOVED Rytsar's character throughout the series, I didn't get the allure of what he can give the RIGHT submissive until this book. I have really come to respect and understand the allure of his special talent. While it's not for me, I recognize it's beauty.
In spite of his gruff personality & stoic nature, he is such a beautiful soul! His love & devotion for Thane & Brie is such a genuinely pure aspect of this complex character, and their relationship is poetry in motion. They are works of art together! In this book his protective nature comes to the forefront to care for Brie, keep her safe, and to connect in a stunningly beautiful way that brought me to tears. No spoilers, but I seriously needed Kleenex because it was so sweet, touching, moving, and EVERYTHING!!!
This narrator is new to me. I was a bit hesitant because I listened to Rise of the Dominants with Jason Clarke, so that is the voice in my head for Rytsar. That being said, Christopher is extremely talented and I enjoyed his performance very much! He was able to flawlessly move between characters of different genders, ages, and even languages. His Russian gave me goosebumps!!!

Rystar is such character! He threatens to beat up the traitors who did not call him when Thane was hurt. The traitors are Doms Tono Nosaka and Brad Anderson. He had been in hiding to save his life and to be there for the birth of their child. However, he has had to come out to find out that a lot has happened.
He is larger than life. He is full of himself and loyal to the end. His initial scenes with Lea were ones that I had hoped would have happened sooner. Lea is my fave sub, and he is my fave Dom. So many unexpected tears! Facing one's fears safely is part of this sadistic Dom's repertoire. His kindness compensates for his boorishness at times. Passionate, angry, and deeply hurt. His past includes the loss of his two great loves.
He rewards loyalty and holds a grudge forever. His rendering of Brie's fantasy from the earlier books is still one of my faves, and he manages to make some memorable times with Brie as they hope for the best for Sir.
The bonds between Sir, Brie, and him are strengthened. The suspense builds as Rystar takes revenge on Lilly, Thane's half sister. His method of revenge is I found myself in tears more than once while reading this story. Rystar is as endearing as he can be annoying. Everything seems a bit bigger, wilder, and more colorful with this Russian.
He is a wanted man. He killed a sex trafficking maggot and rescued a female, but the Russian gang to whom the maggot belonged wants revenge. It is this that hangs over every scene in the book. When will they act? How will they strike?
And when the book ended, I had laughed, cried, felt heartbroken, steamed up by sexy scenes, and was ready for Under His Protection, the next book in the series.

Beyond excellent!
This series is the BEST I have EVER read, hands down. This is another cliffhanger,though I did expect it to be. The further I got into it, the more I knew it was going to have to be. I hate that I have to wait but, I am happy knowing it will be worth it. Rytsar is Brie's absolute best protector and exactly what Brie needs, while Thane remains in a coma, nobody will get near her. Problem is Rytsar has his own very serious trouble looking for him but, he will handle the threat to Brie and Thane first. The series of events Lilly had planned is really astonishing; enough to make you gasp once you know how deep her sickness goes. Wolfpup/Faelan is loyal and will protect the Davies, no doubt, regardless of what is needed. What will happen? How will it all tie up? We have to wait and see but, the anticipation is enough to excite me. Come on Red get #14 to us, quickly. Honestly, this is the BEST series I have ever read, there is some seriously HOT sex, with some extremely gorgeous men, there is enough drama to make it exciting and keep it from being purely porn kindle style! Lol. Love, love, love it...well worth the time, the effort, the money, and the wait. I am sorry I am not addressing the book itself but, if I do, whatever I say will spoil the book and I will not do that. Trust me when I say,it is beyond excellent.

Rystar Durov is not very happy when he finds out that his brother, Thane, is in a coma and Brie is under the protection of Tono and Brad. To the sexy, dangerous Sadist this will just not do. Red Phoenix's Rystar is in his full dominate glory while giving readers a look into his damaged heart. Rystar's heartbreak over his lost love as well as his mother is laid bare while he remains the rock Brie and Thane so desperately need.
This is an excellent addition to the series with extremely sexy scenes and touching character insights.

Always perfect!
As usual, Red continues the Brie saga to perfection. This is yet a continuation of several years of joyous reading. Thane is in a coma and Anton rushes to Brie’s side upon learning this. He is protective of her after learning that Thane’s half sister tried to poison Brie. He tracks Lilly down and captures her to learn what evil reasoning she employed to remove Brie from Thanes life. Several of the Masters are presented in this story, and reminding all of their love and loyalty to each other. But Anton is in great danger from the Russian mob and has to protect Brie and Thane at all cost. Story leave us with an as always cliff hanger. This is a five star recommendation.

Such emotions from the Russian...poor Tono had to feel the brunt, but as always the healer and gentleman. Brie has so many connections, for different strengths, Rytsar is family (well they all are I guess) watching over like a brother would ... LOVE the donut scene :-) Rytsar's background story is so powerful, it makes me kind of sad that he has had such trauma (they all have really) and that he can't let it go...I would to see Rytsar and Lea connect more, I think they are good for each other. Love how out of the darkness (with the help of Thane) he was able to tap into his caring side ...You must read to feel what he feels, and see life thru his eye's. I could say so much more, but don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet. LOVE this series.

I love Rytsar, he is one of the biggest characters in this series and in this book he doesn't disappoint. This book probably doesn't have quite the panty melting hotness that we get when the main three characters (Brie, Thane and Rytsar) get together but he will grab your heart in this book and you will give it willingly. It is a brilliant continuation of the series in the main and it really made me cry at times, I really need to find out what happens next.
I have one issue with not only this book but the series as a whole, some of the dialogue and plots are a little unbelievable and cringingly cheesy in parts. I put in my first review that there is an over use of the word manly in connection with Sir, it still applies.

I was not able to put this book down. Durov is the Dom I least liked in a way, but at the same time was the most curious to know about. Getting to know him on a much more personal level made me love him even more. The action in this book is constant and it is easy to see why he is what he is now. His past is a brutal one, and so is his present.
Durov has had a rough life, but his loyalty to those he loves is one of the reasons that he has become one of my favorite characters. Unfortunately, the book ends with a huge cliff hanger, one that I have to continue reading the story to find out what will happen to him. With tears of apprehension, I will start the new book of this series, hoping that it will bring Durov back to us all.
Durov has had a rough life, but his loyalty to those he loves is one of the reasons that he has become one of my favorite characters. Unfortunately, the book ends with a huge cliff hanger, one that I have to continue reading the story to find out what will happen to him. With tears of apprehension, I will start the new book of this series, hoping that it will bring Durov back to us all.

This book is from Rystars point of view. If you have followed these books from the beginning or have read rise of the dominants you know that Rystar is Thanes blood brother, introduced Thane to the BDSM world ( but learned from Thane a deeper part to life) and you know he is a sadist. We get brought deeper into his love for Titianna and his mother, and the heartbreak this had on him. He trusts no one, except Thane and Brie, so when he finds out months after Thanes accident he is livid and hurt. He immediately comes to the states to take over protecting Brie, and where the police have failed he succeeds with Lilly. But Rystar has a past that is catching up to him. Can he protect Brie and survive his past.

This is his POV of the ongoing story-line but it is about both his past and present. He is a larger than life character. Not that he would admit but this man has a huge heart, BUT do not harm those he loves or you will definitely see his monstrous side.
This series really does get better and better. Even though each book in the series is telling the same story but from the different characters points of view it does not feel repetitive, it is bringing them to life. I am looking forward to seeing how this series moves forward.

I love this whole series & have read the books back to back and reread my favourites. To say that I am addicted to the books by Red Phoenix is so true!
No one has done a better job of making characters seem human or shown BDSM so well.
My only complaint would be that the editing is not perfect which with a looming deadline is understandable but is still irritating.
Also, some of the more recent books in the series seem rushed near the end. Almost as though they must be wrapped up in so many words. it helps that Red writes additional chapters for some of her favourite books.
I look forward reading more of her books!!

Sir comes out of the coma and Brie and Rytsar go to her doctor appointment. Rytsar has his men search for Lilly, with orders to abduct her. And then his interrogation of her reveals the depths of her mental instability and the length sh planned to go to to make her dreams come true. This story has all the feels! There’s so much happening that you must know, therefore it is impossible to put this book down. Red sure keeps you on the edge with Brie and the gang! I hope these characters never stop talking to Red..❤️

A Russian Knight
The sadist, over protective, big hearted Russian is by far my favorite Dom in this series. I absolutely loved this book of the entire series. To get his back story was thrilling, upsetting, and pleasing. His love for Brie and his sunshine is admirable. He would do anything and has proved that time and time again to make sure they are safe, even if that means he dies in the process. Amazing writing with great detail and edge of your seat plot line.
This series is an addiction that I love to have.
The sadist, over protective, big hearted Russian is by far my favorite Dom in this series. I absolutely loved this book of the entire series. To get his back story was thrilling, upsetting, and pleasing. His love for Brie and his sunshine is admirable. He would do anything and has proved that time and time again to make sure they are safe, even if that means he dies in the process. Amazing writing with great detail and edge of your seat plot line.

Exhilarating
I can't begin to say how amazing this story was I absolutely love Rytsar and when he's around everything is 1000 times better.
Him coming back to America to care for Brie while Thane is still in his coma makes you see the true Brotherhood that they have there's twists in this story that will rip your heart out you want to give the mighty Russian all your love if you haven't already

Wow another fantastic read
We can't wait for the next book. You keep us hungry for more. We need the question answered and you always do. You keep us enthralled with all the twists and turns. There is something about these books that makes you want to keep reading. I'm not sure what it is. The writing is simplistic. The story line is OK - could be great - but it needs something more. Rystar, the Russian Dominant, is in trouble. The Bratva is after him and will stop at nothing, or no one, to get their hands on him. Meanwhile Thane Davis has been in an accident and is in a coma. Rystar must protect Brie and her baby. Rystar is captured at the end to be continued in next book.

Destiny, wow it’s an amazing thing, but for Rytsar he knows time is coming soon. As for his brother he will do everything to protect him and his wife too, which brings joys to his heart through trying times. I must say that Rytsar is very intuitive, but has many sides to him of which make him a man of wonder and devotion. As for the narrator he did an amazing job of delivering a Rytsar in his true form.

Rytsar is an amazingly wondrous, dark and complex character. A sadist through and through, but has a good and kind heart so deep for Brie and Thane. More twists and turns in this book, with previous characters popping up here and there as the story continues. Very well written, keeps you on the edge of your seat! With laughter and tears throughout.... another great book in a series worth your time reading.

Wow I love this hot Russian even more
I was over joyed to learn more about our sexy Russian Dom. From his troubled childhood to his first love. As always be protected Brie making her feel the loved and cared for. He always is faithful to this brotherly bond with Sir. He takes care of the greatest threat to Brie and Sir . She's half sister Lily. But now the Russian must fight his own fate from the past.

Brilliant book
OMG I have loved this book and Rytsar is one of my favourite book characters, such loyalty and love for his friends. This was a great follow on to Thane & Brie’s story and I loved this book, I don’t want to write what I really want to as I don’t want to give away any spoilers. Those who have read this you probably know what I want to say after this ending... heart is in my mouth all is ok and I’m about to start on the next one 👍👍

Her Russian Knight is book 13 in the Brie’s Submission series by the amazing Red Phoenix!!! I absolutely love Rytsar and other than Thane he is my absolute favorite Dom!!! His love and devotion to both Thane and Brie really shines in this book and it will make you love the sadist Dom even more!!! Full of fierce passion and unforgettable moments!!! Rytsar is able to bring us answers to the mystery behind Lily in a way that only he is possible of doing!!! 10 stars!!!

My heart broke for the Russian Dom. I cried when he found out what had happened to his brother. For him to take such great care of Brie in her time of need shows us just how important they are to him even knowing that his own life is at risk. I started this book in tears and ended it in tears.

Book 13 gives you answers to questions and hope as well as heartbreak. This completely left me wanting more. I know some may disagree but it is a major cliffhanger for me. I need to read more. Automatic one click. I have never enjoyed and bought so many books in a series. I hope they never end.
