This is a great book for an introduction to the Mayflower Compact, The Pilgrims, and Archival Science. The mini-biographies and descriptions of place and times makes it really come to life. It is not just about the Mayflower Compact, but it also traces some of the history as to why the Pilgrims were there and what has happened to the Compact since.
This is from Heinemann, a school textbook company, so you may not be able to easily find it in circulation. I recommend it for everyone 5th grade and above.
