I had it lying around so I read it. It’s a very informative picture book. It goes over battles, jousts and tournaments, knights (specifically Italian, English and French) and ladies, weapons, armor — my personal favorite, and it goes very in depth on that too, it’s very specific — and there’s one notable chapter on the crusades. And more. The illustrations were so well done, an extra star just for them.
A fantastic book. The best of the children’s books on knights that I’ve read (and I’ve read quite a few). The illustrations are marvelous, and are still useful to the adult reader interested in armor.
