Most of us have had a moment in our lives when we wished we could just get away from it all. Lucky for Nate, that is an option. When his relationship with his band goes south and he finds himself addicted to heroin, he has the option to fly away to an island to try and get things straight.
As it ends up, Abby came to the same island while running away from her past. But her past is far more serious, with the murder of her mother and her own maiming having grabbed national attention just six years ago. Despite these differences, the two find themselves drawn together as she notices his troubles and tries to help.
But his life is in LA, and hers can never again be on the mainland. Is there a way to make this budding romance work?
**This is a full-length standalone romance with a happy ever after

There were five books in Addiction. I have always liked Claire Adams stories. Good storyline lines, characters you either loved or love to hate. Always an interesting read.
Funniest story in the book....at least to me. Words Amazon doesn't allow will be in ** . "Aolani, our friend who works housekeeping, told me she found the mother lode of s** toys in one couple's suite. They were everywhere with l**e all over the linen and the furniture was all skewed. They didn't bother to hide anything. She didn't know what to do, so she just lined them all up on the bed like pillows,". I thought it was hilarious. I mean, what's a maid to do?
I have voluntarily submitted this review after reading this story, as a bonus book in an advanced copy of "Excessive ". It takes someone strong in themselves, to aid someone through drug addiction withdrawal. This is a story of two people, one s creative artist, disillusioned with life, but knowing he had to sort himself out, before he could face his other problems. The woman, is also hiding from a past, a past she has shed and become a new person from, someone who emphasize with others, and who wishes to help, wherever she could. A really great love story. I really loved this book.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Once I started this book it was hard for me to put it down, it sucked you in completely. It was so sad, the state both main characters were in when we first read about them. So happy they were there for each other to over come their troubled past. Would love to see a sequel. Please say there is more to come from these characters.
