Humane, lyrical, and deep. This is not postmodern glib cleverness or silly L.A. flarf. This is genuine poetry of lived embodied human life, social and natural and more. Not every poem was quite as strong as most of the book, but most of the book is strong. Solid and absolutely worth reading. Thank you, 1979.
