The Fabians are increasingly in the spotlight with the current Labour administrations ideological manifesto being played out. With that in mind this book takes on a whole new context. It is a competent history of the founding Fabians, but it is also a window into the minds of the current government who in many way are implementing old Fabian ideas. It makes this book fascinating, and worrying given they describe themselves as communist. A worthwhile read.

Interesting book, although quite dry in places and hard going in others!!
