Marley had decided that it was time to step up to life and be a grown up. Her friends, Sage and Geri, however, were still living the party lifestyle that was about to bring trouble right to her door in the form of three sexy wolf shifters with an eye on mating.
Sage was a nightmare all of her own making. When things went wrong she liked nothing better than to play hide and seek in Marley’s pantry. The trouble was there was a wolf at the door and he wanted to play too.
Geri was fed up with being gazumped by Sage every time that she got anywhere near a guy that she liked. This time, however, Sage was in for a rude awakening, and Geri was about to meet a guy that wasn’t interested in any other girl but her.
Josh, Luke, and Chance were on the hunt for their mates, and one snarky vampire wasn’t about to get in their way. Some of their pack wouldn’t be so easy on the witches, and if Sage wasn’t inadvertently trying to kill herself, then someone was dying to do it for her.
This book has a lot of promise; unfortunately, it fell a little "short of the bar" for me. The pacing of the story was too fast for me to enjoy, and the points-of-view and focusing on several characters and couples was too scattered, again, for me to enjoy. I felt disconnected and unable to be drawn in completely by the story due to the above mentioned issues along with there being no backstory on the characters' lives to get a sense of who they are and how their past plays into who they are (family, friends, etc..).
This book was so different from most that I have read of this type in the fact that it had me laughing most of the way through the book. It had the romance...well sort of. Lots of drama, and a vampire with a crazy sense of humor. This is one book you need to read I promise it will leave you feeling great. I don't want to say too much an spoil the story. But it is about one Witch with her head on her shoulders trying to run her own business, and do her books on a Sunday when one of her two best friends; Sage burst into her home and locks herself into the kitchen pantry and starts eating chocolate. Then comes in Geri her other friend mad as a hornet because once again Sage stole the guy that she was crushing on and trying to land that night. The next thing she know another truck pulls up to her house and a huge guy comes out and starts banging on his door demanding that his mate Marley come out. Evidently Sage used her name with him and his name is Luke, not long after that another truck pulls up and two more huge brothers get out. One being the Alpha; Josh and when he gets a whiff of Marley he discovers she is his mate as is his other brother is Geri's and none of the girls are having any of it. It is hilarious the craziness that goes on and the icing on the cake is J.C. You just Have To Read It.
For adult readers due to sexual content. 3 werewolves and 3 witches with some antics to make you laugh so hard you'll cry. Marley is the one who decided to be the adult and start a business. Geri wants to party and maybe find a hottie to have a hook-up. Save wants to party, get drunk and steal the hottie that Geri has her eye on. These 3 witches are best friends. Save got more than she bargained for when she got Like before Geri could. Josh is the Alpha of the pack. Chance is Josh's brother. Like is also Josh's brother. When Luke called his brother's for help when his mate ran away, they had no clue what they were getting themselves into. This is a romance with a HEA, but it is so funny. I couldn't put this down. What these girls do to these guys is hilarious! Even after they finally accept their fate antics continue, it's a ridiculously fun read. I like the contradiction in the Marley character, she was the most adult of the three in the beginning, but when it comes down to bring a couple, she was the most childish. Such a GREAT book. RECOMMENDED
I loved this book. I was laughing so hard at times I had tears streaming down. Not so good to read while on a lunch break as people kinda look at you funny. I loved the characters and their personalities. I really wished the book was a bit longer and went into more about how this new "Family" dynamic was going to pan out. The only thing that really irritated me was the constant phrase of "snapping their head back on their neck", I was used WAY too often in my opinion. I also wish there was a bit more with why the antagonists had such an issue and why they felt the way they did besides, keeping the blood lines pure. I really do hope there is more to this book in the way of a series.. I really enjoyed the banter and smartass remarks, it really was such a fun read. Trust me I was laughing out loud quiet often while reading this, so give it a shot and enjoy.
This book was amazing. Cast of characters are - the witches are Marley, the adult, Geri the almost adult and Sage is the wild child. The wolves are Josh the Alpha, his brothers Luke and Chance are also his betas. Throw in a vampire - J.C. And the comedic behavior is never ending. There is also danger and vampire skipping. Could not put this book down. It had me laughing through 90 percent of the book. I highly recommend it.
It would have been a full 5 stars, if it had of been properly proofread for grammatical and punctuation errors. I give it five stars in the category of giggles, chuckles, and laughter. Please, before sending it off to the press; print out your story and have it properly looked over for errors!
I really enjoyed this book, the wolf shifter's have such a hard time convincing the witch that they are mates. The witches try to deny it but the wolf shifter's won't let them. Then add in a smart mouth vampire you have all kinds of crazy fun. This book had me laughing and cheering for the poor guys as their mate's are a handful.
Sage barges into Marley’s house then Geri arrives to find Sage hiding in the panty and then Luke , Sage’s mate. Luke’s brothers arrive when Josh sees Marley he says MINE. Chance does the same when he sees Geri. The witches don’t like this But J.C. the snarky vampire thinks it’s funny. The verbal sparring in this book is great can’t remembered when I laughed so much.
This series is great. M L Briers is one of the best shifter/vampire/witch series authors. I've read all her books and have loved every one of them. I highly recommended this series.
I really liked the book. It was funny and steamy with witches, wolf's and a vampire. I laughed and worried till the end. It's a fast read with a good plot and great characters. I highly recommend this book
I am giving this book an extra star for the snarky vampire. The rest of the story was very predictable. Big, strong werewolves find mates who are witches and the witches are not immediately in favor of the whole idea. Let the games begin!
3 sassy witches with attitude, 3 alpha wolf mates, and 1 overly protective vampire what more do you need to enjoy a good book? Yes I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about shifters and witches. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Laughed out loud throughout the book. It was a bit different from the werewolf/vampire stories, since there were witches and fae involved. Would have liked to see more fae type things but overall, very happy
So funny, almost peed my pants from laughing. Great reads all the "His Mate Brothers" books. Very concise and just right length and still gets the story across.
Another successful story laughing through the book I love reading the witches thoughts. Three witches finding there mates with three wolves with a twist. Loved this book off to read the rest of the series.
This is a good stories with a lot of action . the men can't catch a break ,the women has a lot of fun keeping the men busy. Love the vampire he adds a lot to this book.
Better than the first book. I liked Marley until she gave in, that was a real disappointment. Sage is a real idiot, getting into trouble without even trying. Though hilarious, she deserves what she gets as she doesn't seem to learn her lesson.
The best read all month! Hysterical characters, paranormal abnormal I just couldn't stop laughing. You forget at times you're reading about shifters and witches! I like how there was a little drama and action dealing with the pack, and I thought that made the storyline more interesting.
My first thought is seven brides for seven brothers. In this case it's 3 witches for 3 brothers. That made for a lot of conversation ping pong. Good humor.
I love a chuckle out loud read! This second book about shifters and their Witcher mates was boisterously entertaining. Still would like a longer book though
I thought it would continue the first book, but it was essentially just a copy with new character names. Except, there was no ornery grandma in this one.
Three witches, their vampire, an Alpha, and two beta's. So snark, zapping, growling, sniffing, wine, and mine in triplicate. Marley 's Sunday morning is anything but a day of rest. Sage, the trouble maker, is in her pantry eating her chocolate stash. Geri, the victim in most of Sage's antics, is berating Sage for stealing the hot wolf shifter she had her eye on at the bar last night. Luke, the hot shifter guy Sage took off with, is looking for Marley. It seems he found his mate and she ran. He called in reinforcements, his brothers, Josh the alpha, and Chance his fellow beta. Then there's JC, vampire, Marley's roommate, and friend to the witch trio. What could be more fun than watching his three witch friends fight fate. Another fun and funny mate brothers story. Poor Luke, Sage is over the top crazy!
