Heart and Sell: 10 Universal Truths Every Salesperson Needs to Know

Rate this book
Are you making it difficult for your potential customers to buy from you?
Today’s buyers are overloaded – overwhelmed by too much information and suffering from decision fatigue. Across industries, customers are delaying purchasing decisions or even choosing to stick with the status quo so they can avoid the dreaded “sales process.”

In response, many sales professionals are overcompensating with behaviors that are either too accommodating or that create high pressure – and alienating potential buyers in the process.

How can you reconcile your need to meet sales targets with the customer’s desire for a heartfelt, authentic sales approach?

Author Shari Levitin, creator of the Third-Level Selling system, offers a dynamic framework for effective selling in the Digital Age. Unlike other sales books that focus on abstract tips or techniques, Heart and Sell offers a science based real-world approach that will help you dramatically increase your sales—regardless of your level or industry.

Easy to read, with lots of practical advice and a focus on connecting with and listening to the customer. Loved the story at the end about "rare talent"

Although no re-inventing the wheel as some of the blurbs claim this is a great look at best practices in sales from an author with an impressive track record. In a world where people have a myriad of options and dislike pushy sales people this book teaches how to delve deeper, how to emphasize value instead of price and is a brisk wake up call about priorities at the same time

A compendium of stories and quotes from other sales mentors. Nothing new or ground breaking to be found here. Some of the "universal truths" serve as helpful reminders (Freedom lives in structure") however, I felt other "truths" have been presented better in other sales books.

This is one of the best sales books I've read in a long time because it goes beyond the basics and gets into the nitty gritty of selling in a complex selling environment. Loved it.

motivational read - this book is similar to a work book. Of course you don't have to participate and you can just read it, but that defeats the purpose.
