Whimsical story of one family's Hanukkah celebrations. Told in rhyming verse. Illustrations are also humorous. One page in the front of the book summarizes the historical significance of this Jewish holiday.

Funny and silly. This feels a little like a Christmas story with Jewish ideas mad libbed in, because I guess I don't associate khanike with all the family gathering, but that may just be my family. It's plenty Jewish!!! Old tech alert: VCR, gameboy, "laptop computer. :p

This family Hanukkah tale is very funny with its rhyme and illustrations. I only wish it was read by a funny Jew!!!! I love the part about the TP. As my Jewish friend Lee would say, "Enjoy!"

rhyming and rhythm were forced at parts. Parts were pretty funny and entertaining otherwise. Some parts seemed a bit too odd.

This is an early reader book that describes the Jewish tradition of Hanukkah in a slightly humorous way. It explains some of the culture surrounding the holiday with some nice illustrations.
