This last volume of Love Mode is the best one. I get to clear my tear ducts with it. At last we get to meet the mysterious Shiki and know about the background history between Takamiya and Aeo. It was such a poignant story yet beautiful and filled with warmth of pure love.

This manga made me literally cry. From the very beginning the readers know/suspect how the relationship between Reiji and Shiki will end - considering Reiji's present relationship with Naoya - so even the funniest scenes seem bittersweet. And the last scene where Naoya and Izumi actually meet Shiki's ghost... It's so sad and touching, a perfect ending for this manga series.

This could never be an unbiased review because I quite literally grew up with this series and with others like Kizuna and Haru Wo Daiteita. It is of its time and it's deeply flawed and problematic but my, do I love it. I love the characters, I love the angst, I love how deep and beautiful some of the inner monologues are.

I know a lot of people disdained this series because they didn't like Yuki Shimizu's art style and I completely understand cause it happened to me as well with some other mangas/comics but damn does the story make up for it.

UGH. I wish I could have been old enough in the early 2000s to beg Yuki Shimizu to give us just a little bit more about some of the characters she barely touched upon. Her author's notes are cute and hilarious and that's something you find a bit less in today's mangas and manhuas and that's a shame.

I was originally dusting my library and I thought "oh I should reread those soon" and soon became right now, inhaling 11 volumes in like two days during a heat wave. I REGRET NOTHING.

Wow. Wow wow wow. For the final in a series, this volume was by far the best. The art was gorgeous, the scenes heart warming AND heart breaking. It was bittersweet all the way to the end. The last pages of the main story broke my heart, and the last pages of the bonus story broke it, too, but it gives hope and reveals how Takamiya become friends with Reiji, why they're still friends, and exactly who Shiki is.

I'm not going to lie, I cried a few times throughout this volume. It just hurt that much. I'm sad to see this series end, but I'm glad I got to read it in one shot and now wait for it all to come out.

Los últimos volúmenes han sido de lo mejor y este me ha hecho llorar como una bebé. Me encanta el hecho que la mangaka enseñe como se conocieron Takamiya y Aoe y porqué se volvieron amigos... Aunque no esperaba lo demás 😭😭😭.
Al final de todo el manga gira alrededor de Takamiya y Aoe y eso es lo que más me gustó.

Wahhh, ini bnr2 volume penutup yg sangat bagus!! :D Ditambah artwork-nya yg bagus bgt, hehehe.

Walaupun aku sudah tau kalo Shiki bakal meninggal, dari memorinya Reiji dan Takamiya, tapi tetap saja bikin keran air mata jebol waktu Reiji dan Takamiya berdiri di depan nisan Shiki, hiks... Anyway, syukurlah ending-nya bagus. Perfect HEA utk Reiji dan Takamiya.

Anyway, aku ga nyangka kalo Reiji punya perasaan lebih pada Kiichi. Just, wow....didn't expect that. O__O Yg menjadi salah satu alasan kenapa dia tdk mau pulang ke rumahnya selama bertahun-tahun. Tapi kalo dibesarkan dlm keluarga seperti Aoe dan punya papa seperti Shougo, kurasa ga heran bakal jadi begitu. Begitu juga dgn Takamiya yg sangat mencintai Shiki, satu2nya keluarganya... Takamiya juga hampir keluar jalur seperti Reiji....

All in all, walaupun sangat disayangkan Shiki harus meninggal sebelum ia sempat menjalin hubungan dgn Reiji, aku merasa memang lebih baik Reiji bisa bahagia bersama Naoya dan Takamiya dgn Izumi. Soalnya Izumi dan Naoya itu bnr2 soulmate-nya Takamiya dan Reiji, hehehe.

Nah, skrg tinggal extra stories yg harus dikelarin. :)

3.5/5. And with that I'm done with this 11 volume series! This one was interesting as Shiki, a character only ever previously mentioned is finally introduced. There were little to no sex scenes in this one (boo) and a lot of relationships in the past were not included, so that was disappointing. However it was sweet in the end, but I just hate how Shimizu kills off her characters through crashes. Geez give these poor guys a break. Overall, I'll miss this series and I will re-read again next summer.

Finally we know about that mysterious man in Reiji's imagination. It was Shiki, Takamiya's uncle and Reiji's past lover, and thus, this volume also explained how Takamiya and Reiji became friends. This volume is so bittersweet I can't help but cried along when Takamiya cried with Reiji. I usually dislike past lovers' story, but Shiki is just too nice. *hugs him*

Another past history remembered, the sad story of Shiiki relationship with both Reiji and Takamiya in England. It’s great that it ends with their current day loves. It’s almost sad to see the series end, yet I know all the their stories are complete. Izumi and Takamiya will always be my favorite couple in Love Mode.

No matter how many times i read this series, i still love it. It starts as any typical yaoi manga, but it becomes so much more as the story progresses. Almost cried a time or two....

I've been waiting for this story..I want to know who's that long haired guy that keep appearing in the flashback of Takamiya & Aoe memories...it's a very touching story..even made me cry for real
