Hatte irgendwie etwas anderes erwartet.
Die Sprache ist recht anspruchsvoll, sodass ich das Gefühl habe, dass sich das Buch eher an Expert*innen auf dem Gebiet richtet, was doch kaum Sinn der Sache sein kann.
Außerdem fand ich die themenabfolge recht verwirrend, da sich mit der Zusammenhang nicht ganz schlüssig ergeben hat.
Dennoch fand ich ein paar Aussagen sehr wertvoll.

Interesting but not what I had hoped for. I find it is far less about actual critical thinking and far more about the thinking of personalities. I wish it would be less personality focussed an more comparative or at least analytical on how critical thinking has evolved and what it is today... But there were some very interesting perspectives in the book. However there is a lot of negativity and indirect disrespect for some of the people portrayed that doesn't seem to come from a place of humbleness. What the author doesn't seem to consider is that nobody is perfect and that therefore a lot of criticism has to be put in perspective. Who is really consistent in their thinking? Is is really all that negative if opinions change? It is detrimental to the idea a person has if he doesn't always live by it? I don't like the underlying attitude of the author that become visible in his critique at certain points. Still though, particularly the first half of the book contained interesting perspectives.

Inhalt 2, Sprache 5.

Schönes Buch, das linke Theorie zusammenfasst und die Denker in realistischem Licht zeichnet.

Besonders gefalle hat mir das Kapitel über Che Guevara und seinen Status als Popkultur Ikone.

Aber die Sprache... ich bin kein Fan von Fremdwörtern, besonders nicht wenn sie so unnötig gehäuft erscheinen wie in diesem Werk. Muss von Probabilitäten gesprochen werden? Tun es Wahrscheinlichkeiten nicht auch? Und als er dann von den Adorantinnen Andreas Baaders sprach.... da ist mir in der U-Bahn still und heimlich die Hutschnur hochgegangen.

Schade... ansonsten wäre es ein klasse Buch gewesen.
