Series Miley Stewart looks like a regular girl-next-door, but when the lights go down, Miley is teen pop sensation Hannah Montana! Off stage, Miley wants her life to be as normal as possible, so only a few people know the truth about her dual identity. But keeping that secret is harder than Miley ever thought it would be.
Hannah Montana #13: True Blue Miley and her best friend Lilly have a major falling out when Lilly doesn’t ask Miley to join the flag football team. Their friend Oliver decides the best way for the girls to work it out is to talk, so he handcuffs the two of them together―then accidentally loses the key! Plus, when Miley and Lilly start their first day at Seaview High, everything is going great―until Miley receives a text from someone who knows her secret identity!
From The emperor's children by Claire Messud to a Hannah Montana book I can perfectly say that this book is exactly what i needed, a refresher frm the overwritten, literally just pulled things out from the thesaurus type of book this quick, slice of life, easy and clear plot with interesting characters. Even if it seems that this book caters to children with its (kinda horrible but that's the reason why it's funny) comedic innuendo, I still enjoyed it thoroughly. The plot may not be that complicated but it does surely put some form of entertainment to the readers alike.
Cute book! Definitely an elementary level book. Definitely recommend for a classroom, especially if you’ve got girl students that really love pop-star books or books on friendship. This book basically is two episodes written out in a novel form. It was fun remembering the episodes while I was reading this. 🙂
Miley Stewart is a normal American girl, but when she dresses up and puts on her wig, she becomes pop star Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana is Miley’s alter ego. This way Miley can live the life of an ordinary girl without her pop star fame getting in the way. Lily and Miley are best friends, until the day when Lily doesn’t pick Miley for her soccer team at school. Miley is hurt that Lily didn’t choose her, even though she isn’t a very good soccer player. The two have a major falling out. When Oliver gets enough of their fighting, he handcuffs the girls together. Can Miley and Lily make-up before Miley has to make an appearance as Hannah Montana? My step-daughter is a Hannah Montana fan. I, personally, have not seen many of the Hannah Montana episodes. This book is actually two separate Hannah Montana stories. There are also images from the Disney show episodes that correspond with the stories. Each story is humorous, appropriate for the target age group. Though not everything in this book is realistic for the average American girl, some of the topics addressed are realistic. Miley and her friends have to face these problems. Though it is highly unlikely your little girl will end up handcuffed to her best friend right before a television appearance, they do discuss the importance of friendship and forgiveness. Ultimately, I found this book to be a decent humorous book for young girls and teens. I have not heard back from Disney Press about using the cover artwork next to this review, however the goodreads link should take you to a summary page of the book that includes a picture of the cover.
One of my favorite books is Hannah Montana True Blue. True Blue is about two best friends named Miley and Lily. Miley gets mad at Lily because Lily doesn’t pick Miley to be on her flagball team. They have a serious falling out. Their other best friend, Oliver, is worred that they won’t be friends anymore. Oliver ties them to handcuffs. I like this book because it tells about how real friends act. Also I like it because it is very entertaining. The book taught me to never get mad at my best friend over something stupid. I could relate to Miley because I got mad at one of my best friends for something like this. I had one large positive reaction. I can’t say what it was because it would give away the ending. This book really doesn’t remind me of any books. If you like books that talk about real things, which is called realistic fiction, then this is the book for you. You have to read this book. If you love Hannah Montana, read it then.

Another book left in my Little Free Library. It will be returning there now that I've read it.
So, I'll admit that I watched Hannah Montana when it was on, although I'm older than the target demographic, mainly because it would run in blocks during the afternoons when I would be done with college classes. It was something to decompress to between class and homework.
This was a nice way to revisit the show. I remember watching the two episodes adapted here back when they ran. The one thing about Hannah Montana was that the acting was very over the top, something many of the Disney shows of the age suffered, and that is somehow captured here, which is interesting.
Like I said, one to return to the Little Free Library.
Dear Finder of this book. This is a free, travelling book registered on Bookcrossing.com, which is free and anonymous, and just like geo-caching - but for books! (See label inside the cover.)
This book covers the season two episodes "Cuffs Will Keep Us Together" and "Me and Rico Down by the Schoolyard" (episodes 2 and 1 respectively, so it's kind of weird that they reversed the order). It's fun to remember how iconic every scene is, and to get the author's description of stuff that in the show would be either in their heads or just a stage direction.
