Business Writing will help readers communicate more effectively, whether they are writing memos, letters, or reports. Also, it tells how to overcome writer's block, edit someone else's writing, and find an efficient writing system.
Although a fairly old book, some information could indeed be considered relevant nowadays. The book had many great tips on writing e-mails, memos, etc. There are definitely more relevant and modern books out there in this subject are, but I would not consider this book a waste.
I read this book to decide whether or not I wanted to use it as a supplementary course text for the college 'business & professional writing' course I'm teaching fall semester. It is a quick, easy read, but I didn't really find any 'new' information in it that I haven't seen in other business writing literature. I won't be using it for the class, but it will be a nice addition to my reference collection on the subject.
