I asked for a Gray Malin book for Christmas because I wanted a nice coffee table book for my living room. After nearly 10 months shut inside at home during the pandemic, Escape was just what I was looking for. I enjoyed the photos and the few scattered travel tips, but it left me wanting to know more: How did he create the shots? What are his travel logistics like? Who owns the places he visits and what are their lives like? I would love to see Gray put out a memoir on his process and adventures. But for now, this will do.
Fun, creative use of color and shape rather than simply photographing scenery. Gotta love how this guy's job is literally to travel to exotic destinations and take pictures.
