The first thing that I liked about this book was the Affirmations for Wealth Building found on the first pages. I know them to be true for I have used them in my live. They are powerful views of the changes we can instigate in our lives.
The other things I like are the different homework exercise sprinkled around the pages, so you can do and learn, hands on, from her book.
We all have a reason why we used money the way we do. I know what it is to be hungry so my pantry has a year’s supply of food, because I don’t want ever to run out. A person who never had new shoes in his or her early life will have shoes coming out of their ears and spend a lot of their money on shoes.
Julie in this book shows us the many faces of why we use money the way we do. She has demonstrated that we need to manage our finances according to our own circumstances. My case will be different than yours therefore the result or application of the principles will also be varied. Your use or lack of use of her suggestion will differ too. One thing is for sure, if you do nothing your situation monetary wise will change nothing.
For the most part, your feelings about money have been imprinted on you practically from birth according to Julie. Those emotions are responsible for how you make money and how you keep it, or how it seems to go out the door faster than it comes in. Those feelings actually influence how much money you‟ll make throughout your entire life, yet it is up to you to make it better.
Julie wrote a great book in how to understand your reasoning about money and show you the different things you can benefit from no matter what your life’s path. I found that Building Wealth from the Inside Out is a well-written easy book that could change your life’s outlook forever.
I believe that you will find financial healing and harmony in your life. I recommended this book to newlyweds and from there to everyone that uses money in their daily life. It is clear, enlightening and fun to read.

I loved the different approach Julie uses to explain financial decisions throughout the lives of her clients and herself. I appreciated the candor she used in analyzing her own behavior and how she decided to start making smart decisions. I read financial books fairly often and I agree that most books tell you to do this or that and the reasoning is just because. I agree with the author that we as consumers must do whatever makes us feel comfortable. I never understood why I always seemed to never have enough after receiving raises, but I now understand that living from a place/idea of lack creates lack in your life. I liked that she used western and eastern philosophy to explain the stories about money throughout the book. I did most of the exercises and actually gained some insight into my spending behavior. Can you tell I loved this book?
