Not much to review here because as I've been referring to it, it is quite literally "tree encyclopedia," but this definitely proved helpful in my writing research and was manageable, even at times extremely fun to slowly work through. I have many a note now to reference when wanting to add a type of tree to my world!

I have dozens and dozens of books about trees, but this book and its companion for the eastern US are among my most valued. I travel with them and refer to them whenever I'm outside of my home turf. If I had to recommend a single book about local trees, this (or its counterpart) would be the one.
