I read this book just to reach my Goodreads goal. This was better than what I thought it was going to be be it wasn't fantabulous.

When Marcella goes to the circus Raggedy Ann and Andy along with the other toys in the circus have their own little circus on a rainy day. This book makes me think of Toy Story.

I approached this childhood book with only a vague idea of who Raggedy Ann and Andy were (I know I was read these stories as a child but I remembered zip!).

A little girl, Marcella, tells her toys she is going to the circus but can't take them as it is too wet outside. Once she leaves, the toys (led by Raggedy Ann) put on their own circus, with each of the toys showing off their special skills then hurrying back to their places before Marcella returned home (this section of the story reminded me very much of Toy Story).

Raggedy Anne and Andy and the Rainy-day Circus
Marcella is going to the circus. Unfortunately, she’s not taking any of the toys. So on this rainy day, they decide to throw their own circus. But will they get back information before Marcella enters the nursery? And who is the mysterious new circus act?

My Thoughts:
Since I have a room (rooms) full of stuffed things and dolls it’s kinda creepy to think about when I leave, them coming off my shelves and what not and throwing events. Then scrambling to get back in place when they hear the garage go up or me coming up the stairs. (Shudders). Even more creepy to think about what if they don’t quite make it and I open the door and see one still in motion. But it does give you something to imagine.
