He was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. His most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics The Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and been transformed into three major motion pictures.
It is a collection of lectures/speeches of C.S. Lewis. It is titled, "The Weight of Glory and Other Addresses." It is a really a good little book full of deep thinking. I wish I could think half as well as C.S. Lewis did! I particularly liked his address titled, "Why I Am Not a Pacifist," as well as his address titled, "On Forgiveness" Here's one more quote from the book: "No man who values originality will ever be original. But try to tell the truth as you see it, try to do any bit of work as well as it can be done for the work's sake, and what men call originality will come unsought."
