This book is what I've come to expect from this series, a quick connection, some stupid drama, then the HEA. This one did have the twist that this couple dated in the past. You could tell from when they saw each other both had regrets. Finn was that he let her go, Alyssa was that he let her go. Things seemed happy in Alyssa's life on the surface, it was only after you looked closer that you realized that she had been going through the motions of life for a long time. Seeing Finn seemed wake her up and make her really see what she wanted.
I hated that this time around Alyssa was the one to do the stupid thing, a good thing Finn didn't just let it go. The last couple chapters were great, we got our HEA with the couple and a big holiday check in with the rest of the couples from the series.

This is a great book. Finn and Alyssa go through a lot of different emotional stages in their life especially when they think they know what is best for the other. Until one day when Alyssa finds herself in a bad way and gets drunk. During her drunken state she calls Finn and things start falling into place for them or so they think.
I really enjoyed reading this book it is a story that is very hard to put down. You will definitely want to finish the whole thing before you put it down.

Second chance at romance, ending with a HEA? What more can you ask for? Just because Finn & Alyssa said goodbye 3 years ago under a stressful situation doesn't mean they are done. This is an easy read filled with a storyline that leads the readers to want more from this couple. Well worth the one-click!

I really liked these novels. I got the collection to read.... HOWEVER I can not stop thinking about some of the unanswered questions in the books in relation to Finns dad and what happened with that situation past and future. Also I was a little disappointed in how the Rafe thing was just pushed under the rug.

Finn broke Alyssa's heart when he left. Alyssa has moved on and is with Rafe. She thought everything was ok until she runs into Finn again. She starts noticing small things about Rafe that are getting to her. When Rafe gets back from a trip, he blows up at her and hurts her. She leaves him and ends up calling Finn. When she sobers up, can he convince her they belong together?

This book was great. Rage needs his ass kicked by Finn for sure. Lyss did finally get it right though. Sweet and sad love story that ends happy. The author did a great job keeping it real and believable. Loved it.

Special romance!
Finn got scared& told his girlfriend he didn't move her. Three years later & he she her for the.first time & still loves her.
This book is just as good as the rest of the special forces books. I love how you nearly the other characters from the other books too!

Great series
I loved this book. It had just the right amount of intriguing stories and having the best ending ever! I have read the whole series and have enjoyed everything about the books. If you like a little sex, lots of fun and great romance these book are a must read. 😇

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a little different formula, which I appreciated. The characters were likeable, the chemistry hot, and the HEA was very satisfying.

After a few years of being apart Alyssa runs into Finn and it is like they never were apart. He isn't rich he's just a hard working guy. Alyssa is with a very wealthy man at the time who treats he badly. She isn't with him for his money she has a company of her own. After seeing Finn she starts to revisit the reason she is with Rafe. She and him don't seem to have anything in common anymore. He's working all the time and she has the shelter. He hates animals and she loves them. After a charity function one night she decides it time go there separate way. Rafe gets so mad he assaults her. She leaves him with just the cloths on her back. She goes to the Hilton and orders room service. She gets drunk and call Finn and it's the Finn show from there own out.

Finn knew he destroyed Alyssa when he left 3 years ago, and now that he is back he is hoping she will give him a chance to make it up to her, Finn has always loved her and will always love her.
Alyssa has moved on, she has her own business and is trying to start a new relationship with Rafe, Rafe is a rich arrogant man who I did not like at all, Alyssa and Rafe bicker constantly and when Rafe leaves her standing on the side of the road in near freezing temps Finn happens by and gives her a ride, This story will make you cry your eyes out and then have you beaming with joy by the end. I LOVED it.

I LOVE this series and this latest edition is no exception. KB and Audra write so well together and I can't wait to see where the next novel takes us!
Finn is a sweet soldier who broke the love of his life's heart when he deployed three years previously. Alyssa is the broken-hearted but defiantly strong, independent woman who will not allow her heart to be shattered again. Together they are meant for each other but, with Alyssa having finally moved on with Rafe, an arrogant business man who KB and Audra have written so well that we actually are cheering on Finn despite his past mistakes, this second chance romance is not as smooth sailing!
Finn and Alyssa are beautifully written characters and although we know there will probably be a HEA, there are some very large bumps in the road before we get to see them rightfully with each other. The fact KB and Audra have used both characters to tell this story helps us to understand everyone's thoughts and feelings and so builds a better picture around what happened three years previous. It shows us how those years, decisions made, and words said had an impact on both these great characters.
We get some references to past characters from the other books (mainly Miles as his boss!) but you certainly don't have to have read any of the others to read this one. It is stand alone but, I would certainly recommend reading all of the previous books simply because they are awesome reads and it's always nice just to see how the characters are linked!
Finn and Alyssa have a great journey in this book and are very loveable characters....though be warned Peanut certainly steals the show!
Definitely a must on anyone's TBR list!

Even though I have read a few of her novels in this line I just realized why I enjoy these as extra special because my daughter is a army wife. This also happens to be with another element I adore like second chances. Then it had to go and mix adorable pets in with this one you have a recipe for a novel that will and does capture you right away. I would also venture to say a man's view of being noble is not always nice so when he gets that second chance he best not drop it lol. He even has us readers rooting him on. Anyways they will carry you with them through the thick until it thins to where you want only them at the end. Enjoyable reading from beginning to end.

Finn broke Alyssa's heart 3 years ago when he dumped her to join the military. It was all a lie, he still loved her but didn't feel good enough for her. When they reconnect she's moved on with a rich guy, more for stability that his wealth...but he's a control freak. I like that Alyssa is an independant woman with her own business and you can see that rich dude just wants a perfect barbie doll on his arm. Splitsville is iminent only you might not see THAT coming.
Finn to the rescue, only it's not all smooth sailing. Healing one's heart takes time.

KB and Audra have got another hot Army Wives novel on their hands here! Finn broke Alyssa's heart when he pushed her away 3 years earlier. Now, she's moved on, or so she had thought, with a new guy, who really isn't that great. She's never forgotten Finn, but he left scars on her heart when he left her. When she sees him again, she wants nothing to do with him. But, of course, fate has other plans and Alyssa is soon calling on Finn for help after her boyfriend does the unthinkable.
I really like both Finn and Alyssa. Finn is sweet and strong, and has never gotten over Alyssa or hurting her the way he did. Alyssa is awesome! She's strong and independent and runs her own business. Their relationship is sexy, sweet, and realistic in that they didn't just fall into bed after seeing each other once after three years.

As always when you have a book by K.B. Winters and Audra Cole you will have strong alpha males and independent feisty women. Finn fits the mold perfectly and this one even has the cutest puppy imaginable Peanut. I love second chance romances and you will totally love the man characters Finn and Alyssa. They were sweethearts before he left for deployment so 3 years ago he left her by telling a complete lie that he didn't love her and it would be for the best for her to forget him. Big hulking man off to fight for his country scared of a little thing like love and commitment.
He tore her heart apart and it's taken her years to move on. She has worked hard to rebuild bet life and running her animal shelter Hearts and Paws which matched abandoned and abused animals with their forever homes.
How Finn and Alyssa work towards their HEA relationship will keep you on the edge of your seat they alot of things to move past and trust isn't easily given a second time. You will love this book and will not be able to wait until you can read another book by these authors.

Finn and Alyssa are touchingly real characters. The storyline moves them toward an HEA, but there are so many obstacles to face--including a new love interest for Alyssa--that you almost think there is just no way this could work at all for Finn and Alyssa.
