Rush had always been the brother that was the most up for adventure. Then Grinder died and he realized that it was time to slow down. Fast-forward by a year and more and his older brother Archer had found Mel. Hell, his own twin was with a woman of his own! Rush is starting to get restless again, which was just perfect. Cue a string of anonymous hook-ups and one night stands. It was enough to feed the restlessness for a while, then an adventure of sorts came a callin’ by way of the VP’s estranged aunt and the President’s sister-in-law.
Her daughter was in need of some kind of white knight, which Rush could care less about, but the white knight routine did come with a pretty big perk. It would mean that he got to go back to a job that had, once upon a time, felt like a calling.
Of course, nothing was ever easy where Rush was concerned, especially when he actually set eyes on the damsel in distress. One, she wasn’t some paper princess, and two, she definitely didn’t want him around. After all, one-night hook-ups were supposed to be just that… one and done.
A.J. Downey is a Pacific Northwest girl living in an East Tennessee world who finds inspiration from her surroundings, through the people she meets, and likely as a byproduct of way too much caffeine. She specializes in real and relatable romance stories featuring that real-life kind of love that everyone craves.
I really love this series, but after the last book left me feeling a bit hesitant about returning, I thought I'd give it another shot with Rush and Bailey's story... and thankfully, this author didn't let me down. Rush had always been the adventurous brother, eager for new experiences. However, after Grinder's passing, he understood it was time to take a step back. It troubled him that everyone, including his twin, had found their soulmate while he remained alone. In his search for connection, he ended up in a string of anonymous hook-ups and one night stands. Six months ago, he had a memorable encounter with a stunning woman in the back of a bar. She lingered in his thoughts, even though they never shared names, and he assumed he would never cross paths with her again.
Rush receives a request from his MC President to keep an eye on the president's niece, who is facing security issues at the family’s horse farm. This niece happens to be the enigmatic woman
Bailey Lynn Berling on the outside it looks like she lived A perfect life…
You see, dear old Daddy was the quintessential good ol' boy, just like all his friends. He even raised her brother to follow in his footsteps. On the other hand, dear old Mommy was one of those high-society, snooty ladies. Now, here’s where things take a twist: Bailey’s Aunt Tilly was married to the President of the Sacred Hearts.
If you have been searching for an engaging spicy story packed with suspense, excitement, and a Second Chance romance, I think you've found just the right place!
This one was hard for me to get into, I've read the other brothers and totally fell in love, but Bailey and rush just didn't match up for me at all. I feel as if the only reason they even hooked up on the horse farm was because they fucked before. No chemistry what so ever, and Bailey was a complete and totally shitty character, I did not like her ass what so ever. I found myself skipping pages just to find out the ending really. I like strong leading lady rolls, but Bailey was a complete ignorant spoiled brat. Her family did nothing for her, and yet she was mean and judged everyone who did help. This book pissed me off to no fucking end, and I'm glad it's over..
OMG!!! I am caught up. I have binge read the Sacred hearts and the Brotherhood. My addiction is out of control. I need more. I loved every last one of this series. I have cried. I have cheered. I have screamed. I have swooned. I got so much from these books. They are worth every penny and I know I will be reading them again in the future.
I am so happy that Rush has finally found his other half. But mostly I am happy that he has found his happy place. This book had a lot of poetic justice. If you have ever felt wronged and need a little satisfaction this is the book for you.
The more I read this one the more I really liked it. I liked that Bailey and her mother go to see that the MC wasn't that bad, that they should have kept the family ties, because they needed family that was real, not fake. I was surprised at first when Trudy asked for help, but liked how Dragon and the guys stepped up right away.
Rush and Bailey were great together. I liked that both of them just sort of went with things and how when the trouble came that brought them closer together. While I hated what happened at the ranch, I loved what Bailey came up with at the end. It was perfect for both her and Rush.
Brother in Arms was so, so good. After a quickie in the back of a bar Rush didn't think he'd see the gorgeous girl again. When Dray's Aunt Trudy comes looking for help for her daughter, Rush goes along to help and discovers that he already knows Dray's cousin, Bailey.. quite intimately in fact.
Bikers and horses, two of my favourite things! Action, drama and some pretty hot sexy times. A.J. Downey has written another page turner and I can't wait for the next one.
Ridiculously implausible and poorly written. It was the worst one of the series. Maybe editing would of chopped a lot of unnecessary dialog and mount a defense over the unusual amount of attacks the endless number of different bad guys. I think my review could use same editor. LOL
At first I wasn't liking her at all. But she kind of grows on you. Rush is awesome. I love them as a couple. I like that family always comes first. I can't wait to see what happens next in the story. I recommend this series and the author. Be sure to read them in order.
The only reason that this book didn't get 5 stars is because I felt it left out some important things. Like did he give her his cut? Did he ask her to marry him? I really thought she was going to end up pregnant but nothing ever became of it. Other than that is was still a great book! I hope that there will be a better epilogue to this particular book.
So glad I got to dive right in to Rush's story Rush is swoonworthy love the characters from other books make an appearance in all of these books in the series AJ does not disappoint with Rush and Bailey the stuff they had to come over come for their hea has this book in the series a very good page-turner I highly recommend this book and series
Rush's story in this third book of the series was fantastic. Full of drama, excitement, hot alpha males and lots of action. This is a must read MC series I would highly recommend as a must read. Can't wait to see if there's more in this series.
I really enjoyed Rush's story. I love when people are shown that others are not always how you think they are simply based on appearance or "rumor". I loved that Bailey didn't just give up or give in.
Bam and she hits another one out of the park for a homerun. AJ Downey very quickly became one of my all time favorite author's. All of her books have been amazing and Brother In Arms is no exception. This is definitely a must read. I absolutely loved it.
Have enjoyed all the books in the series and if you haven't read them you should. A J builds the characters and story brilliantly. And like Hayden said I still have not forgiven him for faking his death either.
Finally Rush gets what everyone has hes own Forever Love. Really enjoyed reading this book, i loved Bailey's sass, Rush is one of my favorite of The Sacred Brotherhood..
I have followed this series from the very beginning so glad all the brothers found their forever sad that we lost Grinder that is always sad when we lose a brother hoping this isn't the end because there is lot more reading I want to do !! By Nancy Cagle
This series is a wild ride. Rush who was so against his twin falling in love ends up being brought to his knees. It isn't a straight ride as usual but it is very enjoyable reading
These guys keep getting better and better. Rush and Bailey are a great couple together. They show love and dedication to each other. The guys of Sacred Heart constantly show the world what it means to be their family, when times are tough and when the waters are calm.
This last installment of the Virtues series was my favorite. I could completely relate to Nothing, and the life he'd built for himself, the walls he'd built around his heart. This author is a master when it comes to bringing out the reality of life and giving you the opportunity to see redemption.
Really enjoyed this one! I went from hating all of these four brothers to loving them with every book I read and Rush was no different. I think Rush grew to be my favorite of all 4 of the brothers and love that Bailey got her happy ending and her family. Another 5 star book in this series!!

another perfect read. great storyline, really well put together and fun to read. a great mix of action and danger and romance. easily lived up to my expectations from this author
I sampled this and was disappointed ,I could not for the life of me bring myself to continue on to buy it because the heroines charachter just rubbed me the wrong way.
Loved. Brother In Arms definitely had more of a Sacred Hearts feel to it than the other two in the series. Some of my favorite MC romances. I'm really looking forward to #4.
It was a wonderful read. It had well developed characters and a well written story line that flows so smoothly and holds your interest till the last page. Loved it! rated very good
I didn't like Bailey a whole lot at first. She was rude, and judgmental, but she grew on me pretty quick! I loved Rush already, but this book just made me love him more!
