Matthew Abram Groening is an American cartoonist, television producer and writer from Portland, Oregon.
Groening is best known as the creator of The Simpsons. He is also the creator of Futurama and the author of the weekly comic strip Life in Hell. Groening distributed Life in Hell in the book corner of Licorice Pizza, a record store in which he worked.
He made his first professional cartoon sale to the avant-garde Wet magazine in 1978. The cartoon is still carried in 250 weekly newspapers.
A fun little compilation for various stories. A few of them have some really dated jokes that made me think this was from at least 20 years ago (especially the first one with a lot of gender related jokes) but was surprised it’s only from 2017.
Overall they were mostly fun and innocuous though. Some of the stories could have had better resolutions and/or needed to be a bit longer to flesh them out but on the whole it was just pretty fun. The little Maggie short bits and the finding the errors page were probably my favourite.
This wasn't quite as strong as the majority of Simpsons graphic novels, but was still a good read. I have yet to read what I'd call a "bad" Simpsons comic.
